I think we should make it easier for new members. New members might not understand the rules at first, so we shouldn't be expecting much from them. So when the do something wrong, they should merely be warned instead of getting banned.

It's hard to get accepted into, not because of rules or anything like that (the rules are fair anyway IMO, nothing wrong with them - And people
do get warned before they get banned outright), but because the main members form a long-established and close-knit community.
It takes lots of participation and time to get to know everyone and eventually fit in somewhere. People who don't take the time to contribute properly don't fit in, and eventually they leave (like the people who joined just to play on the Minecraft server) - And this is a good thing since it sorts out those who end up to be decent members from those who won't be.
Communities don't necessarily need to grow much in order to be good - And I'm sure people here would rather this community would stay as a "quality over quantity" affair.
