Not content with ruining television and radio, the FCC trys to ruin live sports.
The FCC has recently announced that it will consider cursing during live broadcasts of sporting events fineworthy. At a college basketball game if a lame foul is called and a fan screams "Hey asshole, that wasn't a block, that was a charge!" will cost the broadcaster $325,000. Does anybody think that is a wee bit excessive? With a word like ass or shit or **** that is nearly $100,000 a letter. Are you kidding me? The most offensive word in the world, a word that would make the sky darken and the moon turn red as blood, that word ain't even worth a $100,000 a letter. I propose this to keep the FCC under control: The 25 percent rule.
If 25 percent of the viewership, not people told by some political group to complain to the FCC, but 25 percent of the viewership complains, then it is offensive and can be fined. No more can a small vocal minority of people with sticks lodged up their asses ruin entertainment for the minority.
