That doesn't really answer his question, seeing as it's footage from a game that was never made.
After all, in the Xbox MO you can pick up and toss sligs. I have no idea about GBA but have you tried sneaking behind them and pressing the action button?

Spending as long as I do here, it's easy to forget that Oddworld has actual fans.
I don't know if this works for everyone, but I found that if you play the sloghut levels, remove all the slogs from their pens with the crane, and drop a slig in there instead, the slig will just stand there. Then you can pick him up/slap him around or whatever and he won't even react.
It works in my game, I don't know if it'll work for other people though.
EDIT:
Sorry! I didn't even notice the GBA part. >> I don't have that game so I have no idea how to pick up a slig.

Start telling him a few jokes, make sure he's friendly. Start lightly nibbling on his tentacles and rubbing his shoulders. It won't be long until you're kissing with tentacles and entering cinemas together.
