Oddworld on PS2

Hello!
This is my first thread on oddworld forum. I played Abe's Oddysee & Exoddus on pc when they came out for almost a decade ago. 2 years ago I bought the slim version of PS2. Since then I have got hold of Oddysee & Exoddus to PS. But I have never got around to start playing again. But last week I got some time, and I startet to play. BUT, the problem is, that I cant save the the game on my memorycards. Just autosave. I bought a new card, since I thought they where broken. But no. Must I have PS1 to save the game?
Can anyone tell me about this?

I have all the pc versions, Playstation & xbox oddworlds games....
I just got hold of a hardcover version of The Art of Oddworld Inhabitants. The first ten years. 1994 - 2004. Love the book....

You need a PS1 memory card to save PS1 games, you can't save PS1 games to PS2 memory cards. You can probably buy PS1 memory cards online on sites such as amazon or ebay, but I doubt they still sell them in shops.

Ok. But will a memory card from PS1 fit/work on PS2?
Another solution will be upgrade the PS2?

PS1 and PS2 memory cards fit in the same ports. I have a PS1 memory card and it goes in my PS2.

No, upgrading your PS2 will not do anything, just go to a used game store (If there are any where you live.) and buy a PS1 Card, simple as that.

Otherwise just buy one from Amazon, or ask to borrow a friends (If they have an old PS1.)

ye i had the same problem before when i tried to save Pac-Man World in my memory card. i was all pissed off until i realized the ps1 can fit in ps2. and that ps2 can fit in ps1! Note: Mind the Pac-Man World i'm just explaining :P

By the way is killing 98 mudokons is harder than killing 283 mudokons? Because the spiky ball thingies in Oddysee seems to be REALLY HARD TO AVOID. You have to duck everytime and while your in ledge, you can still get hit! So is Oddysee kill harder than Exoddus kill?

the only way to get it to save is to get ps1 memory cards
