Haha, sure is. Just be happy you managed so many - even with Quiksave, Abe's Exoddus is fiendishly difficult. Good luck getting that elusive 300th next time.

It's not difficult. I completed the game in two days... But rescuing the mudokons is another thing... I was 3 mudiokons away from 300 :S

The game was easier than AO due to quiksave and marked hidden locations so they compensated by having more Mudokons to rescue.

Plus a few of the Rupture Farms secret areas were bloody impossible to do, particularly the ones where you have to lead muds through meat grinders.

You get used to the exact mechanics of Mudokon movement in Abe's Oddysee. Those parts don't lose their edge, but I rarely slip up there. It's things such as the Flying Slig Run secret in Abe's Exoddus that stump me, where you have to avoid a whole load of floating mines and electric walls. Agony.

I've always found AO harder as I only have it on PC, which for me is harder to control than my PS2. So I can have brilliant control on AE with my PS2 and crap control on PC with AO. I've only completed AO once on PC with about 70 Muds.

To be honest, I'd say the most difficult part of any Oddworld game thus far, would be in Abe's Oddysee, when you have to do those Scrab runs through Rupture Farms while you guide a Mudokon on a ledge above you. It seems easy to me now, but before, it was so hard. Oh, not to mention the similar Paramite ones too.

Nah, for me its the similar secret in paramonia where you have to lead muds back and forth whilst being chased by a bunch of paramites.
