How tall are Mudokons?

I would imagine they would be no bigger than a young man or a teenager. Around 5ft or something like that. hmmm!

They're 6 foot - above the human average. I thought this was pretty common knowledge.

in my strategy guide (not 100% official) they said 1m70
thus smaller then the human average

Edit: on the old Oddworld.com they said this for Abe

Yes... at least I was. I was convinced it was six foot, but I'll have to go back and check everything. 5'8" is indeed 1.73m, which supports itself. Darn you and your collecting every single Oddworld text. My hard drive just isn't big enough. Grrr!

EDIT: Look what I found...

Alf: Abe is roughly human-sized - you can extrapolate from there.

Id est 6 foot.

anyway, when you look on Oddguy's picture you see they are smaller then 6feets

While looking at the top of the Mudokons it would appear to show them being less than 6 foot, bear in mind they're not fully up against it, as you can see - they're feet are quick away from the bottom of the thing.

I'm still pretty adamant Mudokons are 6 foot, as I definitely saw the figure somewhere.

if you are reffering to this picture given by Alf: it's absolutly wrong...
on the old site they said:
Abe: 5''8'
Molluck: 7''

and on that pic it's:
Abe: 6''
Molluck: 10''5' !!!


when you look in the games you can't be wrong... it's the old site that tells the truth



Edit: when you look on oddguy's picture you can see that Abe isn't right against the wall (so he looks a bit bigger) but the 2 other mudokons do and they are smaller then 6''

Ah yes, well done - I wasn't thinking about Alf's picture that you showed, but I certainly agree Molluck is both oversized there and also that Glukkons are seven foot. I checked in the MO manual, though, which reports Glukkons to be a smidgen under 10 foot.

I searched Google and found only one reference to Mudokons being six-foot, and that's in a review. Looks like you're right.

I'd say an average Mudokon is around 5"8 to 6 ft. tall. Plus if you look at the pic in Xav's post above then you see that (according to the messurments.) an average Slig would be around 4 or so feet tall. Now that would make an average Slig just about the same height as Abe, which isn't so.

Here's the point where I loose train of thought and go into a riddiculously long stare while drooling...

I never realized how tall Glukkons were compared to Mudokons. I know the large size difference between Vykkers and Muds in Munches Oddysee, but the difference in Glukkons is all new to me.

Al, that's because Glukkons aren't that bigger than Mudokon in the Abe game
but since MO glukkons seems to grow a lot

It also shows in that one pic (Curtosy of Xav....yes thats right..*cough*) that a Bigbro Slig is about the same size as a Vykker; which in the game dose not seem to be the case.

I think OWI should give us the correct sizes for each creature...
but we saw what Alf gave us when we asked him...

well, i guess noone can really say any of their sizes.

look here:
Abe- 5'8" (reasonable)
Munch- about 5'6" seems right
Slig- about 4'9" seems right
Glukkons- 7", i see this being a problem

and heres why:
during gameplay of MO we see that vykkers are much bigger than mudokons making them about 6'9" or taller, but during the gabbiar auction we see a vykker socialising with a jr. executive and he seems much smaller than the glukkon, if this is all true then mudokons are either much smaller, or glukkons are much larger than we thought.

Take a look at this picture, which shows Vykkers and Glukkons to be about the same height - at least Vykkers to be the same height as Molluck, who in all fairness could just be a tall Glukkon. I also noticed that because of the way Vykkers' necks join their bodies, they can actually make themselves taller or shorter like a crane-type thing.

In the Auction Hall, that could just have been a small Vykker, or a tall Glukkon.

Just some more observations.
