Why is my signature not showing?

I just made myself a new signature, right. I upload it to photobucket.com, and put the image URL in the box that says 'Option 1 - Enter the URL to the Image on Another Website'. The preview image is fine, it's the right size, the right file type etc.
But when I go to my user profile, or to any post that I've made, it's not there! What am I doing wrong?

You have to copy the [IMG] code, and paste it into your sig box.

Well, before it's locked, can anyone help me with a similar problem?
I've put the [IMG] tags in, but it still shows up as just a link. I have no idea what's going on.

You have to but in the HTML code, not the [IMG] code. I found out that when I tried the same thing XD.

Ah, I don't think so, maybe if you do a search you'll find one.
But, if you go to any image hosting site (www.photobucket.com works fine for me), get an account (just follow the prompts and hey presto!), and upload your image, after you upload your image you scroll down to see the image, as well as 3 different codes: The URL code, which is used for direct links, the HTML code, and the [IMG] code which are both used for posting images on forums, blogs etc.
The one you want is the HTML code, which should be the second one down of you're using Photobucket. Copy and paste the HTML code into the signature (the big white one, not the little boxes) and you should have your signature!

Well... your way does work but it's not the official, correct way of doing things.

I believe you're meant to use [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] tags but I'll defer to Alcar to confirm that.

Use the [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] BBCode's to display a signature. You will need to upload a SigPic via the UserCP, like you would an avatar.

Otherwise the only option would be to censor out the use of HTML, [IMG][/IMG] and what-not from Signatures to prevent them from being over the limits. Which isn't something I want to do, as I do enjoy seeing some creative signatures - albeit within the rules.
