As usual, this forum fucked up again, i recently received an Infraction for something that an Administrator did to my account, namely putting Tiger Lover as my avatar. Why he got so offended i don't know, I'd have thought he would have been used to that ugly thing, seeing it every day in the mirror...

I just thought i'd like you all to know what a fucking shambles this forum is, with it's lack of any decent threads, it's jackass moderators (Ok, one jackass, the rest I have no problem with) and it's general refusal to be anything but a dead lifeless place where any change is met by closing threads an trivial infractions.

I am ready for your 'If you don't like it, leave' comments now.

Well Seargentbig I'm glad you asked!

Well the real reasoning is because I've been here four years and actually enjoy what SOME of the members have to say, and have made a fair number of friends and acquaintances. Also because I just LOVE arguments, and because most of the people here don't get irony and cynicism I get to feed my addiction

I can safely say that it isn't one of the moderators.

Charlie, to be honest, I thought you had personally swapped your avatar with a picture of Havoc - and I did indeed find it insanely humourous, but as nothing more than a mere joke. According to the Control Panel log, it was Nate who changed your avatar. Therefore I must congratulate him on his funny.

However, to the matter at hand. The Infraction therefore is moot, as it wasn't you. I'll reverse it. As for your thread in OT, I was hoping it may well swell to new heights of funny in OT. Akin to the antics of Jacob a few years back. But I'll leave that up to the OT people (fight the power, Charlie!).

As for placing my own picture instead as your avatar, I didn't realise you hadn't originally been the perpetrator of the original avatar change. At the time I thought it would cool things down, while still carrying on the joke.

Next time send me a damn PM, or discuss it with me after coitus

And, uh, guys, is it right that Hobo gets warned for it but when it turns out to be someone elses doing that person doesn't get in trouble for it?

As I've said in the Employee Lounge thread (linky linky loo), it was meant as a harmless joke. It's only been elevated to such a kafuffle because of tension between certain members.

Just for clarification, getting drunk should never be used as an excuse. I suppose in rare cases it could be, but I only ever use it in jest.

Glad to see that a sense of humor still exists in these forums.

I too, thought Hobo was at the root of this deviltry , so much the better to
find that wily Nate was.

Of late it seems that a number of members have become rather thin skined , pity.

Do miss the days of D.I. , Jacob and the like, but OANST still carries the flag.

The avatar switch was sweet, considering the subjects, but not quite up to
standard set by mawk`s tumultuous departure. That was beyond classic.

The reason i remember this is mawk and i were engaged in a little P.M. kung-fu
at the time, and i was online awaiting his venomous reply.

If you remember, his avatar was a vicious looking cartoon shark, most appropriate given his personalty.

When i called up his last post the shark was gone, and in it`s place was an extremely GRAPHIC photo of two dudes involved in an act that ZoZo has no knowledge of. It was up a day or so before one of the Mods picked up on it, and removed it.

Of course he is screaming about his account being hacked, etc. etc.and then he vanished.

It was some time later that i figured out that mawk was just another embodiment of the ubiquitous R. Charles , and this was another self-inflicted,drama queen departure.

Never-the-less it was quite the shocker.

Oh, and about this time , Dino shows up, go figure

shame i only this forum resently but it was probally for the best since when i found out about oddworld i was hmm 10 or 11 and think i would have been scared for life with all the bitching and swearing in this forum
