So following hot on the heels, or atleast somewhat warm on the heels of the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, we've got a new Spyro trilogy coming up. I was mostly into Spyro more than Crash as a kid so I'm especially excited to see this one remastered.
It's nice to see some of the characters I remembered getting a lot more "character" in terms of their design thanks to the updated graphics like that one scarecrow sheep I can't remember the name of.
I was more a fan of Spyro than Crash, so I'm super excited too!
I do hope they keep the same feel as the original game though. The trailer makes the game look very overloaded with added detail. For example the goons look extremely different and at 21 seconds in the video there are added trees to the left, a windmill in the background and that thick grass is just everywhere.
These aren't very large concerns though. This will reach a wide new audience and it will still be such a fantastic game.
With all these classic remasters coming out to great success, there's hope for a Croc remake yet.
I hope this follows in the footsteps of Crash and goes with the worts and all approach, there are things that could be improved from the older games but the AAA industry has a tenancy to break shit instead of fixing it so I'd prefer they just leave the core games as is.
I'm not sure whether I should be excited or disappointed given the sheer volume of PS1-era remasters being released lately. heres to hoping for a remastered/expanded edition of Dune 2

Yeah, I'm really hoping for an Abe's Oddysee remaster in the future.
