so i just lost at Blackjack. i was making a profit at first, then i had a few bad hands and lost some. then i spent the rest of my time playing catch-up and being a bitch game of chance i lost the rest. and that's it. it's gone. fucking cuntbags.

if i was in the casino i would have flipped the fucking table over. i don't mind losing games but when it's my money i'm losing, especially to chance, i can't deal with that. what made it worse was that i didn't get a single good hand when it started going downhill, like lady luck was just laughing and pissing all over me. it took the piss, i was raped then flipped over and raped again. i've learned never to bet with money you can't afford to lose and i practice that, but it doesn't mean i can't be pissed off about it though. gimme back my money you goddamn fat cats. gimme back my motherfucking money.

anyway, talk about all things gambling-related. i like horses, but i love cards. i prefer to play for fun, or just pennies or whatever. if i spend money on it i intend to make profit. BUT THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN THIS FUCKING TIME. blackjack is definitely the devil's game, moreso than any type of poker. ultimately in the end there's only one winner: the dealer/banker/casino. that's because it's all about chance, unless you can count cards. i wish i could.

and there's a certain buzz i get too. knowing that my decisions and actions were right, weighing up the odds and taking a chance, and getting it right. there isn't much better than that feeling. of course losing is the total opposite. makes me want to mug the cunt that took my money.

My dad is scary good at blackjack. He'd gotten kicked out of a casino once because the dealers were convinced he was cheating.

I tend to be a very unlucky person, so when I gamble, which unfortunately I do far more often than I should, I make sure I know how much I can afford to lose whether it's money or not and don't allow myself to go past that amount. As far as winnings go, I usually stop at a profit of about $10-$20USD depending on the game. If I'm feeling antsy I go until I start losing large amounts just so I can walk out with a profit.

I still have a bunch of chips I need to cash in. That's some $50 I could really use right now.

Gambling with actual games is fun, ones that you can actually interact with. Card games or slots. It's a good bit of entertainment with some edge and the money certainly adds a bit of a rush. Sucks ass to lose though, agreed. I usually bail out as soon as I make a bit of a profit, but I'm a pussy I guess.

As for other types of gambling, AKA betting, I'm really not a fan. Too much inner turmoil seeing your dog/horse/car/team go up and down, which I suppose is part of the appeal but I think the anxieties are too much. You could win big money though... but I'd rather have fun doing that I guess, feel like I actually earned it.

I like Texas Hold'Em because I seem to do fairly well whenever I pay it. That said, I never play for real money. In my honest opinion gambling away your hard earned money is the stupidest fucking thing in the word, if that's what you want to do then go ahead and have fun but I can think of a hundred other ways I'd rather spend or invest my money that'd make me happier.

My family always used to play Texas hold'em at Christmas with chocolate coins and occasionally coppers and silvers. My uncle always won because he played poker semi-professionally. Still a lot of fun though.

I like Texas Hold-Em with friends because the fun for me is betting against how well I know them and how well I can detect whether they're bluffing. I'm no good at card-counting or figuring out the probability of various hands, so I'd never play against strangers. We don't generally play for money anyway.

When I was in Vegas I budgetted $100 to waste gambling. About half of that was on roulette tables, because I'd always wanted to have a spin. A fair amount was in the slot machines in an effort to work out why everyone else seemed to be enjoying them so much. I remain unenlightened. I think my favourite was the big upright spinning wheel thing, but I can't really explain why.

yeah, i agree. with horses i judge only by the odds, and play it safe. like you say, inner turmoil and all that, plus you're betting on something you don't have a clue about. like with cards you can judge the physical odds because you can see your cards so to a degree you can see your chances, but with horses, dogs, all that shit it's a complete leap of faith. the odds can scream "i'll win" but it doesn't necessarily mean that will happen.

i've never enjoyed slot machines of any variety. too many stupid mechanical chances, plus they're designed to gobble up all your money anyway, and pay out once it reaches a level where that would be 'viable' or profitable in the long run. either way, i don't get the attraction either.

I like card games like Blackjack and Texas Hold'em. Lost some and won some on my trip to Las Vegas, which was sorta fun.

Been playing at a low level Blackjack tabel for 30 minutes after which I lost the last of my 80 dollar spending limit. The next day I decide to try my luck with an all or nothing bet, throwing in another 80 dollars on a single bet. I win with a Blackjack, receive 120 dollars, cash out and make a bee-line for my hotel room. The 40 dollar profit was spent on steak later that day.
