SERIOUS: On the run...

Vaalm paused to rest a moment, panting faintly. He had been travelling for three days without finding a suitable victim and was famished. He had been able to keep his energy up by draining the occasional animal, but animal blood doesn't sustain him very long. He needed the blood of a sapient or better yet, a sentient being in order to regain his strength.
Life for a Teuzo was hard out here in the native lands for suitable prey was spread out so much. His kin in the cities had it much easier...preying on the homeless. After all...who would miss a homeless individual? He was starting to regret ever leaving Carthag, but his last meal turned out to be a rather important glukkon...how was he to know that gluk was a well respected detective maskeraiding as a homeless glukk to catch a dangerous criminal? And the problem was that he was knownin Carthag...some of the slave masters would occasionally hire him to track down an escaped slave...and dispose of him or her.
He had to admit...he liked those occasional 'jobs' as slaves tasted were higher up on the taste ranking then homeless folk. Those were always fearful of getting caught and killed, most of the homeless could careless...so deep in their sorrow and pity for themselves. And sorrow and pity were the worse tasting emotions in a Teuzo's book. Fear was much higher up and was considered a staple of a Teuzo's diet. Yes, he had made the homeless fear him successfully on occasion...but most knew of him and often asked idly 'who he was going to take tonight', which was boring...no suspense, no fear, no nothing...they had come to expect death by his hand...and someone expecting and wanting to die were the absolute worse tasting.
But now they wanted him dead..due to a mistake. They should have informed him that that gluk was going to be in the area...he would have left him alone and chosen someone else. Something in the back of his mind was telling him that he had been set up, but he know that since he actually did kill him...there was no way he could clear his name. He managed to escape the city...but how he got to this huge forest was nothing but a blur to him at the moment. But right now there were more importent matters...such as finding food. So he shook himself out of his thoughts and continued on.
He strode through the forest easily enough, his long limbs carrying him a good destance with each stride. Vaalm's kind were tall, thin, scraggly looking creatures, looking for the most part reptilian. The head was much like a komodo dragons, save for three fleshy protrusions starting just behind the nose and arcing all the way to behind his head, one on top of the snout and one on either side of the snout; these served as his heat sensors. The head also sported a total of six, completely black, eyes, three on each side. The neck was long, about two feet, and the top part covered with hard scales, not unlike a crocs. Along his shoulders and backside was coarse hair, which at the rear end hung down like a boneless horse tail. His limbs looked wirery and thing, and they were long; his upper arms themselves were two feet long. He had three taloned fingers and toes on each limb, on the heads one finger was reversed and served as a thumb. His hind legs were ditigrade and had a foot long 'spur' protruding from just below his knee: his lower forearms also had these spurs...on the outer side just below the elbow.
The whole package was a matte black in color and stood ten feet tall; when he could be arsed to stand up fully on this hind legs. His kind tend to prefer walking on all fours, lowering his height almost by half. This made them less intimadating and more animal like, therefore, if a victim spotted them before they could strike they were more likely to thing they were 'just a weird animal'. That is as long as they didn't notice the two inch long fangs protruding from their mouthes.
He stopped in his tracks, his heat sensors were tingling like crazy, meaning: warm bodied life form nearby.
Probably another animal... he thought, frowning. But in his weaken state he couldn't afford to pass up a meal. So moved his head about, discerning what direction the lifeform was in. Once he found that out he set out in that direction. As he got closer he got more info from his senses: small to mid sized creature, the scent of oil, motor oil, which meant this was an industrial creature.
He smiled: that meant it was at least sapient, which is just what he needed. Quickening his pace, but being careful not to make too much noise, he beelined for the creature, stopping behind a bush.
It was a slig, looking rather annoyed. It was looking around at the trees, apparently it was lost, or looking for someone or something. Vaalm didn't care though...
"Lost little sliggy?" Vaalm said as he burst out from behind the bush and stopped just in front of the slig, who toppled over startled. "Too bad...you'll serve my needs perfectly..."
"Piss off!" the slig growled as it leveled it's gun at him, something Vaalm didnt' see before...not that it really mattered.
"Tisk..." Vaalm said unconcerned and snatched the weapon out of the sligs hands, "Don't you know it's impolite to point?" He stood up fully now...towering over the slig and bared his fangs. The slig, clearly frightened now, picked itself up and bolted. Oh the fear! How tasty! Vaalm with sadastic glee, took one leap and had the slig pinned under him. With one hand he ripped the slig out of its pants and held him aloft.
"Don't worry sliggy..." he cooed softly, "Your blood go to a needy cause..."
With that last word he bit down ont he sligs throat, preventing any screams of help from happening. The warmth of the sligs blood flowed into his mouth and down his throat; he could feel his once waning strength returning. But also with that he gained snippets of the sligs memories. He had hoped this slig would have knowledge of a nearby town he could 'hang around' in until he was fully recovered, but he found himself disappointed.
Tossing the now limp slig's body aside, Vaalm snorted with disappointment. No matter, this meal will keep him for a day or so...time enough to try to find a town and then figure out what to do with himself.
Leaving the sligs body behind, he set off once again.

Snek snorted to himself slightly, carefully moving about the decaying remnants of clothing with the barrel of his gun. It seemed he was too late: something had gotten to the thief before he had. Picked eerily clean and bleaching white in the sun, the remains of the middle-aged Mudokon were barely recognizable. Bending down onto one mechanical knee, the albino Slig carefully searched the carcass with his hand, not disgusted in any way by the rotting corpse. Suddenly, his blood-colored eyes lit up and he quickly snatched something from among the pile of bones. An object was now revealed where the Mud's pocket would have been: a strange silver charm in the shape of a reptilian creature on a light chain. It shone strangely, as if some force has possessed it, but Snek chuckled happily as he pulled it around his neck once more, letting the peculiar ornament hit against the center of his chest.
"Poor bastard..." Snek muttered as he rose to his full height again, glaring at the gaping, empty eye sockets of the skull.
Slinging his gun across his back again, the Slig turned his back and headed to the west, leaving the bones to continue their decaying process.

Along the edge of the clearing Snek walked, his eyes narrowed to help combat the glare of the sun. Keeping up his pace, he reached into the gray pouch that was hanging from the belt 'round his waist and produced a small, rectangular computer-like structure. Flipping the top, he turned the tiny machine on which in turn displayed a grid map on it's clear screen with a flashing red dot.
A look of puzzlement crossed Snek's face as he scratched his middle facial tentacle thoughtfully, " Weird... that's the same spot where I left Kragg..."
Putting the device back in his bag, Snek broke out into a run and once again readied his gun, eyes darting about. Not wishing to take any chances in the dimming rays of evening, he reached behind his head to where his facial mask was hanging securely and pulled it over his head, it's red eye strip now glowing a brilliant crimson.
With his vision enhanced, the Slig now made out the old willow tree that was just to the east of where he had stationed his traveling partner in their attempt to find the Mudokon bandit. He came to an abrupt halt, swiftly taking refuge in the shadow of a large oak. He had heard something move.
"Kragg?" he called out, his breathing now a heavy pant as he held his shotgun close to his pounding chest.
No answer.
"Odd damnit," he whispered to himself and turned around quickly, carefully peering around the tree's immense trunk. A dark streak suddenly passed his line of vision and, startled, Snek aimed his weapon. However, whatever it was had gone. When he had concluded it safe, the Slig stealthily made his way to where his partner's tracking device had positioned him.
A few meters from his destination, Snek halted in his tracks. The infrared sensors within his mask detected fresh spots of warm blood on the ground, seeming to follow the path in which the black streak had gone.
"Oh sweet Creator... KRAGG?!"
Heart racing and mechanical legs pumping, he raced forward, the world around him a blur. Kragg had been the only friend in the world to him now, and to lose him at such a time like this was unthinkable in Snek's mind.
Stopping short, he fell to his knees, the lifeless body of Kragg lying in an unnatural position 'pon the ground. The Slig tracker's mechanical legs lay on their side with the legs mirroring each other as if someone were still standing in them. Gripping at his companion’s lifeless body, Snek noticed various slash wounds and a very distinct bite mark of which a very small trickle of blood was oozing. The Slig's corpse was an eerie gray and felt very light, as if every ounce of bodily fluid had been drained from him. Fighting tears and holding the deceased creature with shaking arms, Snek lifted his head to the sky and screamed loudly in anguish, his voice ringing loudly in the cooling dusk air.

A sound of fury rang through the air, causing Vaalm to stop in his tracks a moment. His heat senors picked up a life form behind him...back where he had his meal.
Hmmm...so that slig wasn't alone. Vaalm thought idlely, Pity, was left on his own at the wrong time. Vaalm allowed himself a small smile, showing the for a brief moment the inheritant evil side all Teuzos have...though their neutral side is more domiant. He did feel a slight tang of regret...as Teuzos are often careful to only take those that are missed...but it passed quickly.
He sat and pondered, wondering if he could use the sligs companion to his benifit somehow. Would this one know of a town nearby?
To risky... he thought shaking his head, this one may guess I was the one that killed that slig...
Teuzos avoided confrontation when they could, for injuries from fights require them to feed more often until the wounds are healed and in his current situation, Vaalm couldn't afford that.
So with a shrug, Vaalm stood up again and walked off. It wasn't long until he smelled the ocean and fish. He quickened his pace and soon he detected many heat signels.
At last! he thought, A town!

Snek stayed in the same spot where he had fallen, his body quivering as emotions raced through his veins like FeeCo trains on their tracks. Alone... that one word played over and over in his mind like a broken record, he was all alone. Fear did not seize his body, but instead a mixture of despair and anger fought for control of his mind.
Look at yerself, he thought, You HAVE to move on. Ya saw plenty of guys die before and you got over it. You NEED to get over this...
Wiping a stray tear from his white cheek with the back of his hand, Snek rose to his mechanical feet, carrying his comrade's limp form in his arms. Using a small spade that he carried with him to dig foxholes in times of emergency, Snek buried Kragg deep within the earth, covering his grave with sticks to form the shape of the symbol that he wore 'round his own neck.
"There, pal, at least you can be at peace now and nothin'll try and getcher body. Rest easy, friend," Snek muttered, fighting tears once more.
Quickly, he turned in the opposing direction and walked away swiftly, trying to calm himself. After he had covered about a mile of ground, Snek sat down upon a nearby boulder and adjusted the intensity of his artificial eyes. Flipping open the tracking device again, he began punching in codes and numbers, causing the screen to display various maps. He reached back into his pouch, retrieved a flask, and took one long swig before replacing the cap and putting it back.
Well... not much 'ere... Carthag's up ahead, but there's a nice little village closer. Maybe it'll be a nice spot to collect myself... kinda remind me of my days in the native Mud camp.
Rising again, he headed west toward the road to the village and quickly began making his way toward civilization with a jogging pace.

"Bye! Thanks for comming!"
Blue waves back at her grandfather as she loads the last bag of vegetables into the back of her go-kart, before hopping into the front of the vehicle and starting her long journey back to Little Ampton. Today was a good day for trading: She managed to swap half her large catch of fresh fish at Plathill for five bags of vegetables. Maybe she could go to the industrial part of Little Ampton tommorrow and trade 3 bags of veggies for a can of feul.
She pushes the thought of trading aside for now, for all she wanted to do was get home before it got dark, and she didn't have long; The sun had already set below the horizon. Driving faster down the unmade road from Plathill, she eventaully reaches the road between Little Ampton and Carthag, and looks both ways. No other vehicles were visable in either direction.
"Hmmm. . . The roads are quiet tonight." She says to herself as she makes the left turn towards Little Ampton.
About 15 minutes of driving later, she begins to smell salt in the air, indicating that it wasn't far to go before she got home. Humming a tune to herself, she drives further down the road, until suddenly she notices a lone slig on the road side.
This slig wasn't an ordinary slig: He was white in colour, and also he was alone, which was unushal for sligs.
"Poor thing must be lost. . ." She thinks as she passes him.
*BANG!*
Suddenly, Blue feels the Kart shudder as the engine dies, and she slowly begins to slow down.
"Ah, bollocks. Thats another Spark plug gone. . ."
She steers the kart over to the roadside, and manages to get safley off the road before the kart comes to a halt. . .

Snek sighed, thinking about how cool the night had suddenly become. By now, he had slowed to a decent walking pace and was finding it a bit difficult to keep his eyes open: after all, he hadn't gotten sleep in more than 24 hours. He pulled his mask off of his face once more, putting it in it's holder that was on top of that of his gun. Casually, he reached up with his left hand, placing it on the butt of the shotgun which stuck out just above his left shoulder. It was a very quiet night... too quiet in fact. Feeling his head droop again, Snek shook himself once and continued on.
It wasn't long afterward that a low buzzing reached his ears. Soon, the buzzing turned into a low roar... and then progressed into a loud one. Glancing behind him, his eyes widened as a lone go-kart-type vehicle approached him at an alarming rate. Summoning all of his energy, the Slig leapt off to the side of the road and rolled, just in time to avoid becoming roadkill. Landing on his back, Snek coughed thrice and pulled his face mask over his eyes once more to protect him from the massive clouds of dust before him. He opened his eyes, only to find that the kart had stopped and it's driver was now leaning over it.
Musta died... it deserved it.
Snek got to his feet, a scowl crossing his face as he felt his short fuse incinerate.
"You there! What the f*** do you think yer doin'?! Ya coulda killed me! Yer lucky all yer did was scare the living sh*t outta me!" he yelled at the top of his lungs, waving a white fist which was now blue in the night's light. All of his ammo, armor, and added gadgets seemed to be lighter than ever as anger fueled his body.

"What the?!" Blue says as she turns around. She see's the lone white slig comming towards her, shaking his fist in the air and hurling abuse at her.
"Hey, hey, hey! I'm sorry, I'm sorry! Okay? I didn't even attempt to run you over!" Blue says.

When Vaalm reached the town it was almost completely dark, for which he was thankful; Teuzos and the suns rays don't like each other much.
He stayed just within the forest at first, studying the town from a distance. It looked semi-industrialized, though the industrial part was mostly on the northern side of the town. The rest of the town looked like a mix of residential and native trade booths.
Vaalm smiled; a trade town with an industial section surely meant easy hunting. And traders are more likely to be afriad of death then the homeless folk back in Carthag.
When it was quite dark he come out of the forest and trotted into the village. He explored the place, noting good ambush spots and where the few homeless in the industial sector hang. At this time of day not many would be up and about...but Vaalm was still cautious; using his stealth and powers of suggestion to keep himself from being noticed.
When he was satisfied, he set about looking for a place where he could sleep away the daylight hours. Move down by the shore he followed it aways until he spotted a cave just outside the town limits to the south. He sniffed carefully and found that nothing else lived there and went in. The cave was a fairly large one, with ample room and it was partly flooded, due to the high tide, but that didn't bother him in the least. In fact he saw it as an advantage; the tide would wash away any evidence of his presence and the sea would provide the prefect dumping place for his victims.
He was tempted to go hunting, but knew he didn't need to for another day. Then he realized he needed to fix himself a spot to crash every day. After spotting a dry shelf that would suit his needs, he headed out, making careful note of the location of his new home. He climbed up onto the beach and headed into the forest to gather bedding matterial....

Snek felt his left eye twitch with rage. How could someone be so stupid? He pulled back his right arm, his fist tightly clenched and prepared to strike. It was then that fatigue and sorrow then washed over him once again. What was the use? Anger wasn't going to solve anything... it never had. Sighing, Snek relaxed his arm and sat down right where he stood, resting his arms on his mechanical legs.
"Feh... what's the point? I got no friends, family... nothing... and hurtin' someone won't change that." he muttered to himself and he pushed his visor up again.
His eyes then wandered to the face of the driver. She was a Mudokon obviously, but she was of a peculiar coloring like himself and long strands of hair sprouted from her head in place of feathers. She didn't look like she'd intentionally hurt someone. He sighed a third time and got slowly to his feet and walked over to her.
"Sorry 'bout that, miss... I haven't exactly been havin' a good day. Listen, I'll make yer a deal... I'll use my tools to repair yer kart if you give me a ride to the nearest town. Ok?" he asked as he looked down at her, eyes puffy and in dire need of rest.

Snek felt the knot within his heart lessen is grip slightly as the Mudokon accepted his apology. At least he wasn't by himself anymore; he had never really like being alone. Slowly, he bent over and placed a small, gray metal toolbox on the ground beside the malfunctioning vehicle. Pulling out various tools and occasionally glancing at the broken spark plug, he suddenly realized he also hadn't eaten anything in awhile.
Snek straightened up, tools in hand as the Mudokon addressed him.
"Blue? Nice name... suits ya well. My name is Snek. Dunno why they call me that," he chuckled to himself, "Well, my first best friend called me that... before, I was just a number. Yeah, she was cool. I wonder where she is now?" he said, staring up to the night sky thoughtfully.
Snapping back to life, the Slig leaned over the side of the kart, busily repairing the broken plug. Within a few minutes, he had the engine successfully started up again, to his relief. Wiping sweat from his brow with a hand, he turned around and began packing up his tool kit.
"There ya go, ma'am, all fixed."

"Thanks." Blue says with a smile. "I'm all out of spark plugs, too. I'd have had to push my kart home if it wasn't for your help. . ."
She moves to the front of the kart and moves her shotgun and the remains of her lunch to the back, with all the veggies.
"Hop on in. . ." She says as she climbs into the drivers seat, and turns the headlights on.

Snek bowed his head in gratitude. At least someone in the past 24 hours had a heart. He gathered his equipment and gently placed it the back, making sure that it was secure. Scratching his middle facial tentacle casually, he manuevered his mechanical lower half into the passenger seat and sat down, glad to be able to rest for at least a bit.
The headlights revealed that the road was clear of any traffic, as Snek had suspected. To their right was the forest, shrouded in the blackest of darkness. Looming to their left was a chain of weathered mountains. This was far different from the lands of his previous journies.
Snek glanced to Blue and thanked her again for agreeing to give him a ride. He then tilted his head back and closed his tired eyes, allowing sleep to soak into his form.

Blue reves up the engine and starts off again down the road, this time at a slower pace then normal. About half an hour later, the headlights of the Kart shine apon the sign saying 'Welcome to Little Ampton' as they approach the semi-industrialised fishing town. Blue looks at the road, then double takes and looks at the sign again. Someone had recently crossed out 'Welcome to' and scrawled 'Stay out of' above it.
"Damn kids. . ." Blue says as she drives into the town, and slows down the Kart even more. She makes a right turn and stops at a small cluster of huts on the river bank at the south of town.
"Well, this is where I live. . ." Blue says to Snek. "Thanks for fixing my Kart again."

Vaalm looked up from his task of gathering leaves and grasses and towards the road at a sound. He could see some sort of motorized cart traveling down the road toward the town in the distance.
Late day for them... He thought, shrugging and getting back to gathering bedding matterial.
When he had gathered all he could carry in this trip he bundled it up in his front limbs and started making his way back to the cave. This is one of the few times you would see a Teuzo walking solely on their hind legs and they were an imposing sight when raised up on them.
After he had reached the cave, dropped off his load, and was on his way back to the forest, something in the water caught his eye. Approaching the water he spotted a large swath of cloth floating just offshore. It took little effort to retrieve it and he inspected it; it was in very good shape and was large enough to serve as a cloak for him.
Must of fell from a cargo ship... he mused, No matter...it will serve my needs well.
Draping it over his back, he trotted back into the forest to gather more bedding matterial.

Snek snapped awake at the sound of Blue's voice. As his eyes adjusted, he quickly took a survey of his new surroundings. Apparently, they were near a river bank with native huts lining its shore. Soon he was wide awake and found himself gathering his things from the back of the vehicle, thanking Blue, and walking down the road. He didn't want to impose on her any more (which was surprising, considering his self-centered naure) and decided it would be best to find a nice spot near the river to spend the night.
All was silent save for the steady tap-tapping of his metal pads hitting the dirt road. He had long ago figured out how to tamper with his gear so that his pants made no sound what-so-ever, and it proved to be very helpful indeed. Carefully, Snek made his way down the river bank and found a very large willow tree growing from between boulders in the bank, its trendils just brushing the crystal-clear water's surface.
Yawning, the Slig pushed the branches away and made his way to the trunk of the tree, the whole inside in shadow due to the thick amount of leaves.
Perfect... I can see out... but no one can see in, he thought to himself.
Still having some part of his mind not clouded by sleep, the experience he had gained over the years told him that wild creatures might be about. He scooped the soil just beside the tree's trunk with his hand and rubbed it all over himself to destroy his scent: he couldn't be too careful.
Finally, after a long and utterly harsh day, Snek leaned his back against the old willow and allowed sleep to wash over him like the water against the river's bank.

Blue dumps the last of the five bags of veggies outside the garage, before closing the garage door and locking it. She then opens the door to the large, two-storey shack.
"Oi! I could do with some help here!" She yells.
"Comming!" Says Withinhoe from inside. A clatter of cuttlery hitting a plate is heard, and a chair scraping across the floor, before Withinhoe appears at the doorway.
"What took you so long?" She asked Blue.
"Broke down - A spark plug broke again! Shuddy workmanship, I tell you! Fortunately I broke down next to a slig called Snek, who was able to temporarily fix the spark plug if I gave him a lift in return."
"Hmmm. . . Okay, I'll tell Amphora not to buy engine parts from Ampton Autos again. . . They seem a pretty dodgy bunch, anyway. So, how much veggies did you get out of trading those fish?" Withinhoe asks as she leans against the doorframe.
"Enough." Blue says as she points to the pile. "I'll trade some in Little Ampton tommorrow for some feul, and get the Kart repaired at the same time. Where are Orion and Amphora?"
"Eating." Withinhoe replies.
"Well, I'm hungry too. Come on, lets get these veggies in." Blue says.
Withinhoe and Blue take all five bags into the shack, and lock the door.
(OOC: And so ends. . . Well, the first ever day in the OW RPG Mrk. III. . . Then again it wasn't really a day. More like an evening. . .)

At last the Reptilian slinked into the Towns entrance. Passing the sign that clearly stated 'Village of Pyke: Welcome'. The sky was dark and the only light that was being emitted was from that of the moon and the torch-street lamps that lit the street. Hardly anybody was outside and the one's who were, were 'working the streets' awaiting beings that would be able to pay for certain 'services'. Injin did not care much for beings like this, he believed in a live and let live policy but if he ever had to kill anything he would always go for the Call girls. Everytime. Aside from the women speaking and divulging enthrawlling stories of love, lust and hate all was quiet. It was a perfect place for Injin to sleep and re-think certain events in his life, but to also plan things for the future. Crouching down on all fours Injin then pushed himself up with his hind legs. Leaping through the air he landed on top of a thatched roof. Surprisingly the roof took his weight with ease. He then proceeded to leap from roof to roof until he was satisfied with the materials used to make it. If all was well he would then spend the night on that roof, the town citizens being oblivious to this. As he landed on his fourth roof his paws were met with the nice, soft warm feeling of moss and straw. It was a welcoming feeling and he knew he would be able to drift off into his dream world instantly.

Male voice: "Yaahh, seeyaz LokĂ*. Same time tomorrow's, ok?"

Female voice: "Okie hun. Ta-ta."

Injin poked his head over the edge of the roof and looked down at the ground, a male Mudokon-like figure stepped from the inside of the cottage and made his way down the street.

Injin: "Damn Whorez."

He muttered this, not wanting to give away his place of rest. No-one would care if he was able to speak or not...he was Reptilian and all Reptilians were, according to towns/city folk, bloodthirsty hunters. As Injin watched the Mud go down the street and pass through the light of a street lamp he had, yet another, vision. This time it was a more realistic one. To Injin the realistic one's were shabby and drab, and thats what seperated the realism to fantasy. Fantasy is a world full of monsters and magick whereas realism is a world full of Lawyers and writs. The vision was actually of the Mudokon, it was set in this village and was of the Mud getting beaten up by a group of Orkhids. It was a quick vision but ended in a mixture of tearing flesh and the Mudokon with black eyeballs. Injin was somewhat disturbed by this as he had never seen such a thing before...but it phased him for mere seconds and no sooner had he envisioned it was he thinking of the next day and resting his head on the roof. Heading slowly to sleep.

Vaalm was making one last trip before crashing for the rest of the night...and all the following day. The large piece of cloth he had found earlier was almost dry now and he had used it to help him carry the bedding matterial back to the cave. Now he just needed some softer matterial to line the new bed.
He searched the river bank, testing the plants for suitability, then stopped short when he detected a heat signal. Looking in the direction he detected from he saw a large willow tree. From the heat signal he could tell something was resting next to it, hiding in the williows shadows beyond the think layers of leaves.
Heh...that's why I didn't detect it sooner... he thought with a smirk, the leaves insilated the heat from me.
Not that it mattered; he wasn't hungry, so he was going to ignore it...that is until he spotted something within the branches that would be prefect for his needs. In the branches, hanging down from them was a type of moss...which was a lot like spanish moss.
Forgetting about the heat signal, Vaalm trotted over to the willow and proceeded to start ripping the moss off of the willows branches...

Snek did not sleep soundly that night. A horrible nightmare visited him in which he was back in the Barracks, being forced to shoot innocents. He had many dreams like this one, and typically he would awaken drenched in a cold sweat with screams still ringing in his ears.
True, he did awaken this time, not from the screams of his victims as he put holes in their hearts but from the sound of rustling very near to where he was. Silently and painfully slow, he moved his hand and tightly gripped the butt of his gun that had been resting beside him. He cautiously drew it close to him and then bent on one knee, carefully inching his way towards the branches of the willow.
With one swift movement, he had stood up, brushed the leaves of the ancient tree aside and aimed his gun at the first thing he saw: a peculiar creature that had skin of ebon.
"A'right, yer, what're ya doin' and more importantly, what're ya doin'?!" Snek hissed, one eye closed as he practiced his art of dead-aim.

Vaalm froze a moment, mentally kicking himself for forgetting the creature that was sleeping at the base of the tree. Calmly he turned toward the creature and his eyes widened slightly at the sight of an albano slig. The weird thing...was that he seemed familiar to him...then Vaalm remembered that it must be due to the memories of his last meal.
So this one was the one carrying on back there earlier.... he thought, realizing he will have to be careful...especially with a shotgun pointed right at him.
"So sorry..." Vaalm said calmly, "I didn't mean to disturb you. I was merely gathering matterial for my own bed." He angled his head at the gun, all six of his eyes blinking at once, "I mean you no harm...as soon as I done gathering moss I will be on my way and disturb you no more." As he said this he gave the slig a mental 'suggestion' that he really needed sleep and to leave him be...

(ooc: I don't know how strong of will Snek is...your call kin)

Snek sneered as best he could, aim not straying a centimeter from where he first designated it. The strange ceature vaguely registered in his mind as a Teuzo: a vamp-type creature, but that didn't bother the hot-headed Snek in the least. All he was concerned with now was making sure he could get out of the village and found out who it was that had murdered Kragg in such a violent way. However, lack of sleep and stress from the previous day prevented him from thinking rationally and logically.
"Well, I know whatcha are, so I don't want to see anything funny outta you. I'm known for my aim, buddy, and I'll blast that six-eyed head of yours clean off your shoulders, so don't try it," the Slig growled, crimson eyes glinting with anger.
It was then that his mind began to feel peculiar: fuzzy in a way. It took a few minutes to fight off the suddenly strong desire for sleep within him, but something flashed inside his mind: mind manipulation. If Teuzo's had any kind of it, he was sure they would use it in a situation like this. Snek's eyes wandered to the lake: cold, fresh water... that would do the trick. He decided to stay on guard, gun to his side but ready if need be and wait until the creature left.

"As I said...I am no threat to you." Vaalm said calmly, "I won't be needing to feed again until the next night...so I have no need to feed off you."
At that Vaalm returned his attention to gathering moss, but keeping an eye on the slig. Soon he had gathered enough and bundled it up in the cloth and slung the package over his shoulder.
"Good night to you." he said idly to the slig as he started on his way back to his cave.

Too slow, man! Too slow!

(OOC: You took too long. I'm bored, so I'm gonna post even if it's not my turn. And there is NO WAY I'm gonna let RPG Mrk. III die like this!!)

Little Ampton - Early Morning
The sun rises over the horizon, and everything is still, quiet and peaceful, the only sound being heard are the birds singing. . . Until suddenly-
*Bang!* *Phut!* *Vroom!* *VROOOOM!!*
Blue drives out of her garge in her Kart, the engine noise shattering the peace a quiet of the morning. Orion shuts the garge doors behind Blue, and waves her off as she drives at break neck speed down the street.
"I wish she'd be more careful. . ." Orion sighs as she watches her dissapear round a corner, behind a building.
Blue heads straight for the middle of the Industrial district, and stops off at her normal trading spot - Outside the medical surgery. This place is great for trading, since injuries are commonplace in Little Ampton's industrail district, and therefore many people visit the medical surgery.
Blue takes out a large bit of carboard and a pen from the back seats of her Kart, and writes:
'Fresh carrots, sweetcorn and peas for sale - 1M per KG, 20M per 30KG bag'
"I think I'll put up a bargin today. . ." Blue says as she tapes the large carboard sign to back of the Kart's rollcage.

(OOC: Next!)

Finishing his meal, two fishes he had caught in the Forest stream, he got back to his feet. It was quite late in the morning, judging by the Sun around 11:00, he had already spent too much time in the village that had shunned him sometime ago. He felt it was time to get on with his life, he figured if he could get to one of the cities he would be able to be adopted or perform in some sort of Circus or Zoo. It would make a change, at least. And it was better then actually going back to his horde. Shaking himself Injin snorted and trotted off towards the smell of fumes and smog...

***

Melik: "Go, go now. Obitus waaants to know if there is aaany sort of crossbreed in the aaareaaa. If there is, report baaack aaat once, understood?"

The two Reptilian worshippers whom Melik was addressing nodded their heads abruptly before taking off into the direction of Pyke, their paws spitting the ground up behind them. Melik himself was nervous, he couldn't allow anymore mishaps such as the infant one, otherwise he may be terminated. As he watched the creatures disappear on his hind legs, he dropped back down to all fours and turned. Heading into the direction of Obitus, whom now lay in a cave. Gathering his energy and getting accustomed to the physics of such a new world.
