Need people with Game Maker 7/8 experience or someone who can draw good in paint
I'm working on something big. I'm planning on doing the whole of Abe's Oddysee in Cartoon. I used some sprites that Carnix made and I drew the background myself.
These positions are available:
1. Someone who can draw some of the backgrounds in cartoon compared to the real backgrounds. Sorta like this.
2. I need someone with some experience with Game Maker 7, or 8. Particularly 8. They can perhaps do some levels once I get the backgrounds and put them together.
3. I need a spriter. Someone who can do some actions for Abe. I need the following sprites, in either GIF form or like this:
All rights to that image are to Carnix. I did not make these. I also have his permission to use them.
I need these sprites:
Abe rolling,
Abe crouching,
Abe throwing a grenade/rock/meat,
Abe mounting Elum,
Abe chanting,
Abe on Elum.
I need Scrabs and Paramites also. I need them still, running and eating Abe's flesh (for when he dies).
Like I said, either in GIF form or like the image above would be great.
If everyone could pitch in on this game it would be FANTASTIC!
I will attach a package for what you guys are gonna need soon.
EDIT: I have the Backgrounding Package now. I will upload it soon and immediately after that will be the leveling package for the peoples with GM8 experience.
EDIT, EDIT: The file size is too big for the .zip. I will just give you the link to the thread on backgrounding for people who are interested.

What?! Are you Serious? Pixel art is the only thing MS paint is actually good for. Paint is perfect for pixel art as the whole point of pixel art is to draw each in vidual pixel. Using PhotoShop to do fancy shading would be defeating the whole purpose.
I don't mean Paint as the program, and neither did he as far as I can see. "I can paint backgrounds..." is what he said, and that usually means a wide brush with decreasing opacity toward the edges.
I agree that pixel art is the only thing MS paint is good for. However I believe the Gimp is better - for a a start, you can see where your pixel is going to go before you place it.
Of course fancy shading would defeat the purpose. I was telling this to someone only hours ago.
Well, my art teacher at school, has his very own style of painting and it is very close to what I would called pixel art just with a paint brush and paint. I actually quite like his paintings and he gets more money from his art than he does with his teacher's salary.
This is for people who are interested in doing some backgrounding for me. I want MS Paint ONLY because I want the nice pixel effect. Don't ask why, I like Pixel Art =)
This is for my game, look here for more detail.
Here is a video on how to do it.

You already have a thread asking for people to use Paint for you! Why on Earth do you need another?!
I'm merging this and that thread together because frankly you're making a mess of Fan Corner. If you have any more requests to people, make them in the merged thread; don't make new threads. If people want to help you they'll be reading your already-existing threads.
If you're unhappy with the title of this thread, for example, then you'd be better off PMing me and asking me politely to change it than making new threads asking exactly the same thing as the old one, which would be spam, by the way.
Spam bad; spam make Hulk mad!

Erm, pixel art is quite possible with countless image programs.
:
I'm just stating you have no reason to bash MS Paint
No, I don't. I didn't. I was pointing out that you don't paint pixel art, because if you paint it comes out all smooth with a palette of a bazillion colours.
Now, ontopic, I don't really have any time - I'm going to New Zealand for a month, and both over there and when I get back I'll be working flat out on a Hallowe'en event for an open-source MMORPG I work on. But if I get bored of that any time I might start up AO and clone some backgrounds in cartoon-style.
What you've done so far is looking pretty good - not my favourite style, but it's good. But if you accept advice from non-contributors, background detail should be less saturated so you can easily determine what you'll walk in front of and what you'll smash into.
Wow, I like it, man. Do you think you can do more?
EDIT: Sorry for double posting, I clicked back on my browser and my computer screwed up so when I posted this, it double posted.
I am very good with paint, do you want me to help?
It's true... he is, I mean, look at his sig-pic. Picasso would have been proud.

Is that your video MM? If so lol nice voice XD.
How many people would you like working on this coz I can help 2
