If you're gonna make a thread for a game at least explain a bit more of it in the starting post.

Anyways, it looks cool even though it's a blatant rip-off of Super Smash Bros, everyone knows that. So far they have only confirmed six characters from the roster, them being:

- Fat Princess
- Radec the Helghast soldier
- Sweet Tooth
- PaRappa the Rapper
- Sly Raccoon
- Kratos

The stages look alright but they are really similar to Smash Bros' stages. I'm hoping to see a big roster of PS1 era's classic characters. I'd like to see Crash Bandicoot, Sir Daniel (Medievil) and someone from Hogs of War. Sir Daniel would be possible, the others not so much mainly 'cause Crash isn't a PS exclusive and Hogs of War was released on PC too.

A character they had to make up because they realized Sony doesn't have that many unique characters from different franchise like Nintendo has.

Like I said before, I was waiting for Sony or Microsoft to make there own Smash Bros ever since Brawl came out. Now Nintendo have announced they are making a new SSB, it's the prefect time to announce a rip-off. This is the reason why I dislike Sony and Microsoft, It's the fucking PSMove all over again.

Despite my hatred at Sony, I still want to give this a look just as long some classic Sony characters get in and if the game has new, unique elements that aren't in SSB.

In my opinion, whatever they do with the same it won't be anywhere near as good as the next SSB, hell it won't be even as good as Brawl.
Anyway, Here are the characters that I really want to see in the game.

-Crash Bandicoot
-N Cortex
-Spyro The Dragon
-Ripto
-Rayman (It's actually more likely Rayman could be in the next SSB, That would rock)

Fat Princess was a PSN-only RTS-ish game with Capture-The-Flag elements. Except that the flag was a princess. And she was fat. And the fatter she was, the more difficult she was to retreive and return to base. Finding food and feeding her was one of the major strategy elements.

I played the demo for about ten minutes. Not really my kinda thing.

This looks like what Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing was to Mario Kart - a blatant rip off with different characters, stages, updated graphics but pretty much the same gameplay style. It looks pretty cool, but I don't think it'll have the same charm as Super Smash Bros.

I think this looks like a lot of fun. If they can structure it properly, it could be a great party game and open the PS3 up to a bit more of the franchising that keeps Nintendo on the map. They definitely need to widen the range of characters a bit. Why not have Tony Vegas or whatever his name is from GTA/Vice city? And if they can get one or two Final Fantasy characters in they'll be set.

I'll wait and see. It's not like it could be any worse than Brawl.

Btw If people could find a problem with it that isn't 'Well, I think it looks like X Nintendo game!' that would be just great, since all you're doing is pointing out the same lack of originality that keeps you playing every video game ever.

Apparently only super moves do any damage, so there is a problem. Also, its not the same thing that keeps them fron playing any videogame. Do games take from one another? Absolutely. It's how genres are made. However most good games evolve or add something to the formula to set them apart or advance the genre, this does none of that from what they have shown. It is a reskin essentially and is what Ganeloft does on the iOS. It should not be comended OT thought positively of as far as creativity goes.

Edit: Also, Sony has a shitty roster for such a thing. Even a MS roster would likely be better, they have some iconic characters, Sony doesnt. Them using fat princess as a reveal character is indicative of that.

Brawl is kind of lame after the initial shock value wore off, yeah. Melee, though, guys. Melee.

This game looks pretty fun even if it is a blatant rip-off of Smash Bros. I hope they put Abe or at least a Slig in this.

I did love Smash Bros 64 and Melee but Brawl to me was a masterpiece. I still play it with my mates and it's never got boring.
I loved the single-player campaign mainly because of the gameplay style that is SSB really works as a single-player adventure game and the story despite it being pretty much a Nintendo Fan-Fic was in my opinion pretty good actually. The graphics were amazing too even though i'm certain that they only decided on dark, realistic graphics because of Twilight Princess.

I hope the next Smash Bros will be a bit like Skyward Sword where it mixes two great games together, I want to see it being a cross between Melee and Brawl.
