I heard a guy ring in to the radio today to mention that it's his birthday. His surname is 'Day'. His parents chose to call him 'Patrick'.

Yes, that's right; his birthday is March 17th and his name is 'Patrick Day'.

I just remembered; on the tram today I had a half-drunk Irish guy with a shamrock painted on his face come to me and ask directions to a street I'd never heard of. I'm told that Irish people love to come to Australia and behave like drunken lecherous stereotypes, because back home they'd get beaten up with a Shillelagh. Or just beaten up.

I always pronounced it like that anyway, though I am like 1/3 or 1/2 Irish so that could be why.

We ended up going to the pub for aaaages. I played five games of pool and won zero. For the first three games I potted an average of one ball per game. On the last game I randomly thought I was the wrong colour and potted some of my opponent's.

I'm trying to remember; was this the one year anniversary of you passing out at the train station and and losing all your stuff, including the USB key with all the top-secret OWF passwords?

Or was that on some other occassion where public drunkenness is promoted?
