Hey man thanks for the reply. No it didnt, and i noticed that the game fell kinda choppy.
I still use a 4:3 monitor, so i dont need it anyway.
Its not a huge problem, but i dont get why my Xeon get abused to run a, almost 20 year old game

Yeah, it sometimes helps with other compatibility issues, too. Unfortunately, it didn't help with yours.
AO/AE are DOS-era games, it's really weird that they use up all your CPU capabilities. Are you absolutely sure that doesn't happen with any other game? Or that your antivirus isn't interfering?
