Stuck after Paramonia & Scrabania...

First, hi there. It's great to see a community about Oddworld games that's active and it's interesting to read the topics from time to time.

Now there's my problem:
You know, after finishing Paramonia and Scrabania, Abe's supposed to receive the Shrykull power, but I didn't receieve it, though I had both the movie sequences after completing both temples.

This is really annoying, I even tried to success Paramonia after Scrabania and it's the same thing. I don't have the Shrykull power.

Searching the forums didn't help, there were only discuss topics about Shrykull.

I'm thankful for any help. :)

Edit: And if it's possible, I don't want level codes or something, I rather prefer to solve the problem. If there's no way or it's a bug that can't be fixed, level codes are ok.

What version are you using? PC or PSX?
Abe makes the blue ring or not? You must use it in the area with Sligs and bombs!

My only suggestion is to try re - entering in the Scrabania/Paramonia well! If this doesn't work... I'm sorry but you should restart a new game

If it's the PC version, maybe someone could provide a savegame from that point in the game?

PC version. Sorry for not mentioning.

He makes no blue ring, even not in the area after the two entrances to Scrabania and Paramonia where all the sligs and bombs are.
And I re-entered the temples, as said before. And still got the same problem.

Starting a new game would be... nargh. I don't have much time to play in general, so if there's a way, please tell.

Actually there isn't any skip level cheat in the PC version of Oddysee, only in the PSX one! You could try the -ddcheat for pass that area (if you want other help, send me a PM)

EDIT: savegame would be fine, just tell me how many Mudokon you saved (if you remember), or I just play saving all of them until I finish both temples, I can complete the game very fast

No no, there are ways to skip the level via "all levels"-cheat, by pressing
[down] + [right] + [left] + [right] + [left] + [right] + [left] + [up]
in the menue screen, but as said, I don't want to simply skip this level, because it means that I've saved NO SINGLE mudokon. And I'm aiming for the good ending.

And you don't have to play until this position only for me. I'll try the -ddcheat option, which means fly, doesn't it?

No TAB while playing, no flying fun stuff, no continue~

Yes! In "ziel" you must write this "(space)-it_is_me_your_father"
Then launch the shorcut but make sure to keep pressed the shift button until you load the save, then just press TAB while ingame for enable the flying mode... hope to be helpful for you

Solved the problem. Though, the Shrykull power would have been nice to look at.

Maybe when you come across Shrykull power later in the game, it will work for you and you’ll get to see it.

Wait. didn't you need to go back a screen or something like that, and rescue a mud? Don't take my word for it though since it's been ages since I played it...

You just get the Shrykull rings when you complete both trials and you don't need to rescue any muds.

Yeah after you're done getting passed all those mines and Sligs then there's a portal that will take you back to Rupture Farms. And there's more Muds to rescue so you can get the Shrykull power.

What a coincidense. Same thing happened to me. This was around when I first got the game. Fortuneatly it worked the second time.
I think that I took an older sae game from a little bit before Abe goes to either. I tried in the reverse order and surprise, surprise, it worked.

It's a bit late but here's a savegame I had lying around - It's from the Mosiac Lines after completing the temples, with the Shrykul.

Dunno how many muds have been saved or anything (I think it's one where I've missed a couple) but it should show what happens when you get the shrykul. Unzip the .sav file into your Abe's Oddysee folder and load it from the game.
