Question Tattoo's

For quite some time now I've been pondering about having a tatoo. I've started thinking about it a year ago or something and it's been wandering trough my mind ever since. I would love to have a piece of TheTigress's art on my body somewhere. But if I eventualy work up the guts to get a tatoo in the first place, I'l start of with something small. Like the word 'Tiger' on my upper arm .
Is there anyone here who has had a tatoo done? If so, share your experience with me!

I don't like tattoos. It just seems like a vanity thing to me. Like plastic surgery. I have no wish to alter my body through artificial means.

I don't have a tattoo, but my friend does. He got it on his right arm, just under his shoulder. He told me it didn't hurt, and it wasn't painful at all. He said the only thing that sucked was he had to be gentle with his right arm, and it hurt if something touched it or he bumped into a wall.

Would you really want the word 'Tiger' rather than a picture of one? Seems like a picture would be cooler.

I'd never get a tattoo myself because I know that I'm an impulsive person and I would regret it after two weeks. Same thing happened with all the piercings I had.

Well, getting the word 'Tiger' would just be to try it out. A picture is a very big thing to start out with for someone who never had a tattoo put on before, IMO.
And I dunno if it's painfull, some say it is, some say it isn't. But if it is, I wanna know HOW painfull it is before I take an entire picture .

I have never had one, considering Im not old enough but.................... If you are going to get a tatoo, I would not "test"! I would get what you really want. If you are gonna get one, I say either get a small Picture of a tiger(If thats still what you want)or take the risk and get a big one.

Well why not 'test'? Any specific reason not to do that?

I know what you mean when you want that kind of tatto on yer arm, and the pics on the site are very nice, no doubt at all. But if you really are going to have a tatto you better be really sure about what your'e doing, cuz one friend of mine have a tatto but she got tired of it after a while and that tatto cost around 200 Sek, which would be around $1750 oh...expensive and when she removed the tatto away then it cost alot more

I agree with Old and Not so tasty, I'd never get a tatto either.

Woooow... 1750 dollars for a tattoo. Thats crazy XD. Well naturaly I would give getting a tattoo plenty of thought. But I wouldn't mind a picture on my arm or maybe chest, be it big or small.

The tatto she had was small though. BTW I talked to a guy a while ago and he had tattoed all his arms with differents of things ( I can't remember what it was) but he said that it could, from a the size of a spot to the size of a large one, cost $1750 to thousands of dollars and that pretty extreme if you ask me. I myself had thoughts of getting a tatto, but I changed my mind after that and other things as well... like if you'rer about to get rid of the Tatto then it'll cost more and you'll probably get scars.

Seriously it's good to think of it before doing it. "Think twice" is one of my mottos. It's up to you, but don't come and say you're tired of the tatto

I don't get people who get 'tired' of a tattoo. You know it's something thats stuck on you, so people should think before handling. Are there realy people so stupid to say after having a tattoo for a week: Nah... gets boring, lets take it off again and try something else. Thats just plain stupid if you ask me.
If I get a tattoo, I'l get something I know I'l be happy with for the rest of my life ^_^.

I'm iffy on tatoos. Sure, it could make someone look badass, or it could just look flat out unattractive. Point in case: why on earth I was watching Fear Factor, I don't know, but as anybody who watches knows, they like to parade attractive people in swimsuits for the stunts. There was this girl there- she had one of those colorful design majigs down her back- and ugh. Ladies, take it from me, getting a sizeable tatoo on your back, or arm, or whatever, isn't too arousing. From my perspective, at least- forgive me for praising the clean cut.

Tattoos rule. But I'd rather spend a couple hundred bucks and go all out on a badass mutilation or not even bother. Also, its going to be on you...4 life.
Other thoughts:
A chick with a properly done tattoo is attractive to me. A guy with a nice tat is also pretty nifty. Not all share that view, so think before you go all technicolor on yourself. It could hurt your chances at jobs, turn people off to you, etc. I'm guessing that since you are a lover of fine tigers AND tattoos it didn't really cross your mind that people could not like it.
I've been thinking about a Great Hammerhead shark tattoo for a while. Tell me how the tiger thing works out and I might get one.

I'm considering getting multiple tatoos (and piercings)... and I guess it depends on who you are if it'll hurt or not... I used to stick safety pins a whole inch into my arm. That didn't hurt me... but I'm a masiquist.
