Study tips

Hello everyone. I have got some exams coming up and I wonder if anyone has some tips for studying or if you can say what you find is the best way to study. Usually I do not spend too much time studying and I just go over notes the night before. Too much information can be brain overload for me!!!!! It has worked well for me in the past, but maybe others have some more ideas on this subject.

To be honest I rarely find myself, studying for test or exams. If I was to give you any advice, I would say, don't over study and just relax. Some people tend to get to afraid, that they may do bad, during the exam. Well...thats all from me

I only study 3 days before the exams. If i study any earlier i can't remember all the stuff i try to remember.

hey if i were you i would studie on the last min. then you dont need to remember anything at all and your mind will start out fresh.

I doubt these are really relevant to the exam you're facing, but they're good tips.

Seriously, 5000 words per minute is a very slow speed to read at, and most people can only read at 200 words per minute.[*]Go through all your work and make good, concise and clear notes. Easy revision.[*]Use your notes to get other people to test you. Keep doing this until everything comes out almost mechanically.[*]Don't ask the same person to test you all the time, you'll get used to the way they present questions. hey.........if i was smart i would tell you some stuff......but im not.....so there ya have it.............oh i do know one thing......write out the question in your answer...........they like that.............

I have studied about 5 times in the past 3 years, I gots A's and B's

You have notes right?

Go through them and summarize them.
Then summarize the summary...
And so on until you have a nice small quantity to read before the exam.

Writing down helps the memory. Writing in colours is even better.

If you have lists to learn like the characteristics of life, create acronyms like MRS NERG... or make up a sentence using the first letter of each word if you get me.

Make flash cards....

Make word abbreviations to further shrink the quantity.

Make sure you study when you are not too tired, and take breaks in between or you will lose concentration/not take in what you are studying.

If you're really serious about good grades, take home everything you learned and spend 10 minutes or so each day re-reading and going over it, even if the exam is a year away.
