Oddworld Hawaii in reality

Ok I just thought i would make a thread to help answer and myths and misunderstandings of what Hawaii really is in life and how are people are and stuff, traditions and such. So well go ahead and ask a question...( a sensible one) and Ill try to answer it...mind you some people are completely clueless at what the real Hawaii is like

Great question and the answer is no.....None of that is true...Hula contrarey to off island belief and media...is a form of ancient dance that is above all to serve the main purpose of worshiping the ancient Gods of Hawaii..it was at one point before the foreigners came a very spiritual practice. So what do we wear well..anything that seems fit and comfortable for hot wether...just about anything...Allot of people here (men) wear surf shorts.as it is light weight and comfortable...girls well they wear all those cool bikinis Anyway we wear clothes that is sutable to our conditions....About the music...and im telling you not everywhere you go do you hear music...but in Hawaii there is ussually always someone somewhere playing music..with a ukulele or guitar..drums and shuch...so yeah there is often times music in the back ground I hope that answers your question Rexy

Anyways I do have a serious question what has been the lowest recorded temperature in Hawaii, in known record that is, like the record high temp and the record Low temp, if you could find those two for me I would greatly appreciate it.

From what I heard Hawaii is fun in the sun.

Did Hawaiin shirts originate in Hawaii? Or are they just trend setters. We don't want some state pride taking over the clothing industry... Or do we.

Hello Kaimana. I have a question, I hope it does not sound too silly. You always see people on TV with the lais (I think that is what they are called, the flowers that are around people's necks). Do people wear those a lot? Are people given them once they get off the plane and arrive in Hawaii?

hey kaimana

I am sorry Kaimana, but i have to correct what you said on the second thing that you said, and hula was used for really trainning to fight ,and to worship the gods there was a chant there many chants. The chant explains where you are from and stuff but to even enter someones houce you have to chant and if they do not hear you just do it again three times if he does not answer on the third then just leave, but to dance is for loved departed ones that have died.

Thanks for the Ethan. However I was never aware of the entering someone's house ritual. That must have been a LONG time ago in ancient Hawaii. Also I would like to point out the word "Hale" Hawaiian for house, home. Yes thats true that hula, has many chants involved. Probably the best none style of hula and chants the ones use to tell a story or pray to the Hawaiian gods. Now days thing of that sort is rare and is hardly ever seen. Alot has change with Hawaii now, and Hawaii thousands of years ago. And if you did not know Surfing was invented by the Hawaiian's then your sad!

Yes people do go surfing everyday. Taning on the beach naked can only be done on nude beaches. As far as I know, there is only one here on Kauai, okay maybe more if you count the secret beaches. But other then that in public beaches you don't see people taning naked

I now must go to Hawaii.

But I just wanted to know, is Hawaii the best place on Earth and if it is, do you enjoy rubbing it in everyone's face. And are the majority of girls from Hawaii really fine pieces of women, and if they are, are any of them interested in a really studly guy from Ohio?

Enjoy your paradise!

You do realise studly usually means, tanned, dark features, muscles, 6packs large...vehicle of some sort.

Not...

Pale, mouse/mole-like features, skinny lil' no arms, big...bulgy out stomach thing (Blech!!) and a small...ermm...Mini.

And Jacob, I'm not ugly or pimply as you would like to assume. In fact I'm a pretty good-looking guy (or so girls tell me). I'm also shallow and popular, just to clarify.

I was just kidding about the 'girls from Hawaii being interested in me thing'. I know I can get a girl whenever I want.

I want to go to Hawaii someday, and Europe, but I am not legally allowed to leave my family until im 17 or something.

What type of food do we eat. Okay good question. In reality we eat alot of everything in different cultures. The most popular, The Hawaiian food=A good time eating things like, fish, wild boar, assorted vegetables, chicken, and other foods turned into a meal with certain ways of cooking will give you a healthy body. One good example is the "Kalua" Pork. A "Emu" or under ground oven is made by rock the Pork si then put in the emu and the emu is lit. After hours on end in the natural underground oven, the pork is removed that process is called Kalua. The meat then is striped into small peices. It goes good with rice. Rice goes with almost any meal we have. Um, desserts range from all types of cakes and puddings to things like the famous "Hula Pie". A large ice cream cake with chocolate, the general flavour is a nice mango. Another popular culture type food here is the chinese food. No need to explain. Then the general American food steps in. I hope that answered a small part of you're question.

To answer you're second question. Personally, I go to the beach, boogie board, surf, sand slide, body board, spearing, jumping off walls of rocks into a crystal clear tide pool. If I am not at the beach then I would go to the mountains, climb trees and just exlpore around. And then of course I come here. There are movies you can go and watch, all types of things you can do. from kayaking, to taking a helicopter tour of the island. Alot of things my friend. You can never see all of Hawaii in 14 years, I sure have not and I live here.
