I always hated the search box in Firefox. I hated having to a) go to a different field and b) have to select which engine to use, when I could just use the regular address bar and precede my search terms with a ‘g’ for Google, ‘w’ for Wikipedia, ‘oam’ for the Oddworld Forums Administrator Control Panel Member Search, etc. The seeming inability to use this in Chrome distresses me, but maybe it is possible: I still can’t work out where the fuck my bookmarks are.
Another thing I miss are all my plugins and add-ons that make everything so much smoother and faster, but comparing the basic packages so far, I won’t dwell on that.
One thing that I absolutely, positively adore is the ‘Inspect Element’ option in the context menu. It’s so amazingly handy for a web developer like me. It doesn’t have anywhere near the power as Firefox’s Developer Bar, but it’s easier to use.
EDIT after a bit of trying: I found my bookmarks. What a stupid place to put them. So I have to have my empty bookmarks bar out just to call up my list of bookmarks? How stupid. I can’t even move it into the top bar, or get rid of the reload button. The lack of customizationability is strangling me.
