Weird Dreams?

Here's another thread that was inspired by talk of dreams on the "What Scares You" thread.

Post the weirdest dream you've ever had, be it scary, funny, strange, unsettling or just downright daft.

I'll start.

A couple of days ago me and my friend in work were talking about the different strains of cannabis we've tried and about his escapades in Amsterdam, about the hookers, grass and the hard drug dealers. It was all a laugh, but this talk soon inspired a dream that night.

The magic cannabis bush.

The dream starts with me leaving a hotel (in what I'm assuming was meant to be Amsterdam seeing as nothing was familiar) and headed straight over to a coffee shop (another hint as to where I was.)

I ordered an ounce of something or other and started bonging the fuck out of it, which was weird because I don't like bongs. Next thing I know I'm walking up towards this group of about 30/40 people asking them for a light and all of a sudden they started chasing me down the street. So, naturally, I took off running down the street for all I was worth whenever I came across this giant, and I mean huge-ass, bush just covered with buds. So I stopped at this bush and started piling my pockets with them and folding my jumper up to carry more.

It was all strange because as soon as I picked all the beautiful buds the people chasing started eating, fucking eating, the bush. I woke up in a cold sweat.

I wish there was more to this but, unfortunately, that's all I can remember.

Let's read all the weird dreams of yours.

At the moment the first thing that comes to my mind is a dream I used to have semi-regularly. Sliding around on my arse around a very cold supermarket that was red and was filled with falling snow. I was also naked. I don't like to think of analysing that dream.

When I was a kid I used to regularly have dreams about standing on prickles.
It's just that every time I closed my eyes, I would always see myself standing on a prickle. I still do. Now I'm thinking maybe I might have had a bad experience with them when I was a lot younger - I just don't remember.
THEY'RE EVERYWHERE

I have a few nightmares, sometimes I become aware I'm dreaming and really enjoy them, because who doesn't love fending off hordes of zombies?

I dreamed the other night that there was a girl sitting on a bench alone. People were standing, watching her but nobody would talk to her. All she wanted was for someone to be her friend. Why don't they like her? What had she done? She started crying and they just stood there. Who needs them, they're all bastards, she told herself, but she knew that she needed them. Without friends everything was going to just be horrible.

She didn't know what she'd done. Maybe she was just a bad person. Maybe nobody would ever like her again. It was her fault that she was in this position, so there's nobody to blame but herself.

Then I woke up. I think you can all guess what triggered that dream.

I rarely remember my dreams. When I do it's always about something I've just seen, played or read. For instance, (This is actually true) I watched The Walking Dead before I went to bed and I had a dream where I woke up in a zombie apocalypse, found my friends, stole some weapons and went on a killing spree. It was rather fun. I think I was also playing Left 4 Dead 2 eariler that night too. I've never had a proper nightmare though, Not the ones where you wake up all panicked. I've heard they can really mess with people.

Have you guys ever had lucid dream? My friend is really intrested in them and has been learning how to control what he dreams about.

Why mention it then?

I used to be able to lucid dream, back when I remembered most of my dreams. I rarely remember them and tend to have no control. I don't think I even try to control them anymore. It's such a shame because I love dreams.

I just had a very crazy and unsettling dream this night.
I went to bed at half past eleven. dunno why, but I was so tired. anyway, that was my dream:

I played with these kids in a ruin and when we wanted to go home I realized that my shoes were missing. so we climbed up again (mountains of papers and magazines). it was raining and dark and everything was soaking and unstable.
then suddenly I switched to another dream, I was naked, only wearing a t shirt and walking to a gym. now I never entered the gym but I was always asking myself, why am I naked?
I often have dreams where I try reach a target, but I never get there and it kinda feels stressful.
and then I switched to my last dream I can remember and this one was very creepy.
I was swimming in a canal. it was ancient and I think it belonged to a castle. so the concrete was all slimy because of the brakish water, but the water was very deep, dark and green. somewhere in front of me were two of my colleagues from work and they were talking about a pyramid under the water and some fish that might swim into a penis. I was really scared lol. the walls were at least five meters high so there was no way to climb up. the only thing I could do was swiming ahead and trying to find a stair that might lead out of this deep water. so I darted forward and with this my head got under the water and I saw huge pikes and other old fresh water fishes. that's where I panicked.

they looked like this

now I love the water and fishes. I am fascinated by them, but I cannot explain why I thought they would attack me at any second.

so I woke up and saw through the slits of my door that there was light coming from the hallway. it was still dark outside, so I looked at the watch from my mobile phone and it said 1:25 in the morning. I heard that my flatmate leaved the flat and locked the door behind. I went to the bath and there's another watch and this one said it was 4:25. I checked my phone again and it said 4 am too. dunno why she left at this god awful hour, but she may have her reasons.
this was a very weird night. I am still not sure why I saw a wrong time on my mobile phone.

i seem to only have three different types of dreams. stupid, nonsensical dreams that usually involve me falling down the stairs and getting butterflies in my stomach, dreams where i have a complete adventure, and i mean a fucking adventure, i love those, and ones where i'm murdering someone/something.

the last adventurous dream i had put me on a ship, like a galleon, with a huge fucking whale trying to smash the ship up. the whale smashed the ship in half and left us sinking as i was swimming underwater trying to rescue slaves that were drowning in cages. then i ended up having a cigarette with the crew on the sinking deck, thinking "fuck it, we're gonna drown anyway". the last thing i remember was seeing the whale again, just a huge eye, bigger than me, in the water. THEN I WOKE UP AND WAS ALL LIKE OH MAN I LIKED THAT

Nightmares are much more memorable than dreams. Most commonly they usually involve me falling a great distance, then awakening, or me suddenly releasing I'm naked in a crowded area.

I think everyone's experienced a dream where they're falling - Being naked in a crowded area is a cliché as well (though I've never had that).

I occasionally get dreams about being half paralysed, instead resorting to levitating in order to move around within the dream because I can't move my legs - They're not the same as waking up with sleep paralysis (I've never had that, thank goodness), but still weird.

I have lucid dreams as well - However it's normally when I've not slept well the previous night and nod off while I'm in the middle of doing something. Then I dream that I continue doing what I'm doing, before waking up confused and thinking that I've done what I was doing, when in reality I haven't and only dreamed that I did. Anyone else had that?

Other than that my dreams are boring - They're in colour, I can control them, they're often about things I desire or things that I've experienced, and I hardly ever get nightmares. Then again perhaps I'm lucky and it means I sleep well.

I used to have dreams in which I was so overwhelmingly terrified by something that, though I tried to run away, I couldn't move a muscle. The only situation I actually remember wasn't really a situation at all—there was simply me, the flat ground, and darkness.

I mainly have adventureous dreams... I always meet so many interesting people... and then I get disappointed when I realize the giant, friendly talking robot who was showing me his homeplanet wasn't real

I also have nonsensical dreams.

I also have this weird glitch in my dreams where like... it's the equivalent of a sprite being messed up in a game. Say you have mario, but somehow his sprite gets switched with a piano.

I have that x_x Sometimes items in my dreams are in fact other items, but take the appearance of an entirely other... I remember a cat walking around as a sock in an older dream.

I've had a few of those.

One involved Sonic Spinball from a first-person perspective.
One was Tails being engulfed by some kind of purple blob in the middle of the Mushroom Hill Zone.
One was a bizarre Abe's Oddysee level which was nothing but three platforms in a triangular formation, dangling in black space and covered in flashing lights.
One was some kind of stealth/speedrun mode for Abe's Exoddus.
And one was some really weird platform game where I was this bouncy brown mammoth wandering around some kind of darkened warehouse full of other mammoths.

Also, I had a stupid dream, a couple of years after Oblivion came out but a couple of years before I got it, so I really wanted to play it. The dream was just me getting out of bed, seeing a computer sitting there, and me proceeding to play Oblivion for a couple of hours. That's what dreams should be, really. Basic simulations of enjoyable situations.

So yeah, I play too many video games.

Also, a weird dream where I had to try and explain to a load of anime characters that I wasn't really interested in anime, so I shouldn't be dreaming about them in the first place, so would they mind leaving?

This past year, I have been captured by American soldiers, attacked by somebody's pet cat, attacked by somebody's pet brown bear, pursued by Dr. Mengele and a posse of nazis, have been drafted into the army and have been coerced into joining a cult based in a local church.
you just fucking love cats.

Being naked in a crowded area is a cliché as well (though I've never had that).
same here, i've never dreamt anything like that. closest i've got is when i dreamt a vagina tried to bite my dick off, and that's only because i was naked.

EDIT:
