Once I learnt about the terrible things the big fast food companies do, I stopped eating there except for a) grudgingly when everyone else was (this happened at OddTour 2), and b) when I'd finished spending two weeks in the forests of Thailand and goddamn needed familiar, fatty, proteinous food.
Since I became vegan, I've never eaten in one of those places. Eating out is a pain in the arse as it is, and fast food restaurants are the least likely to give a shit about catering to me. That said, London has/had a couple of places:
On OddTour 3 (I don't want to keep bragging about how many OddTours I've been on, but they just happen to be to context of everything I'm saying) I sought out a dinky but awesome place called
Red Veg, which I'd heard about a couple of years beforehand. I ate there with Peter, Nathan and Charlie.
Then on OddTour 4, I found that Red Veg had closed down so I had to look for other places in an Internet Cafe. Turns out there was a new place called
Otarian, where I went with Dripik, only getting lost a tiny bit on the way.
