What Oddword Mobile Games would you like to play?

Hello everyone,

What sort of Oddworld games would you like to play on Mobile devices?

It's not the first choice platform I would want to see OWI making games for, but I can't deny the moolah these games generate from micro transactions and the like, could be a benifit to OWI.

I would love a Glukkon Tycoon sort of game similiar to other business management games, complete with the slavery, environmental damage, and extinction of local wildlife etc.

I think it was designed to be one. But yeah Oddworld Slave Circus would be awesome on mobile.

In case anyone (like me) isn’t familiar:
:
In an AMA on Reddit, Lorne Lanning discussed a possible "gladiator"type Oddworld title, in which the player could purchase and battle slaves. "I have been fixtated on a game called "Oddworld Slave Circus". It is seriously whack. You start the game by buying a slave. Think Gladiators on Oddworld. Have done a tremendous amount of work on this and never mentioned it. But it is in the coffer and there may be some light for it on the road. But has some other contingencies depending on it. Requires new level of social intergration into console gaming. It's insane.Hopfully not so insane it won't come to life."

None. Transaction based mobile games are one of the worst things to happen to the industry.

No one specified transaction based mobile games. Could be just a game you play on your phone with a one time payment. I usually don't care for phone games but that's because I don't like touching the thing I should be looking at.

Strangers wrath is on mobile. Its like $8 one time fee.

And there are many others that are either a 1 time fee or are episodic games. Not all games are candy crush.

Micro-transactions like Candy Crush is a fantastic idea! OWI will be floating in moolah!

And even then, Microtransactions are good when done right.

Planetside 2, Dungeon defenders 2 etc.

Planetside 2 wasn't outright pay2win, but actually grinding for all of the gameplay-effecting paid content probably takes a few years so I don't really feel like that's done right.

I'm fairly sure when I played it was literally calculated at several years to get all of the unlocks. I can't speak for the recent versions of the game.

*Shivers* Seriously. I hate those sort of games. Even when it's entirely opinion to buy micro-transactions, the game either has awful "wait to play again" mechanics or is just flat out boring.

its pointless to go for everything in PS2. Its a game about specialisation. Not good at air combat? Thats what squads are for. No one person is supposed to be every role.

Im pretty sure beyond stuff like faster progression it was just cosmetics that u could buy.

"wait or pay to play" is awful. There are a number of free games that I really enjoy that do not limit how much you can play.

APB, War Thunder, Pretty much any Korean FPS, PlanetSide 2, TF2 (I've had the game before it was f2p though), World of Tanks, Phantasy Star Online 2, and the list goes on.

Free games that I hate are those awful facebook games or similar mobile games where you HAVE to purchase stuff or wait a year.

Isn't that just sad though. Capable devs shifting to FB to make games for the Almighty raisin, just for some easy moolah.

Blame the consumers. Games have become 4 times more expensive to make, and people want to pay LESS for their games.
