Think Stranger will come out in June?

I dunno why I am writeing this but do you think Stranger will be comming out in June of this year?

There are many hints to my claim. Such as when they stated in the Daily Deception page in December that we need to think hats for spring. And why did OWI not give us much of anything for February? Could that mean there will be something big comming around the cornor? They stated a few months back that when theres no news it means good news. And plus the little thing in Feb's update could mean that they could very well just be about done with the game only now just adding finnishing touches. Even in one of the Inhabitants interviews Raymond Swanland was thinking of illustrations now for their marketing campaign. Its probably nothing But I find it very cerous. Pay close attention to the last sentence. What do you think? Think its sooner than what we projected?

February 2004
It' s a full month into 2004 and what have you got to show for it? Resolutions to gain ten more pounds, start up a new fatal habit and to treat people worse are so standard. Inhabitants are looking for something MORE. Perhaps to finish a game that's been in hush-hush development for darn near eternity? Hey, that's a good one ... yeah, we'll take that.

hmmmm, they are probably preparing the E3... with demos and screens and art...

I'd like for it to be released in June, but if they need more time I won't complain.

As long as it's released this year, I'm good.

Yeah, if they spend too long making it perfect, it would eventually reach a point where it just becomes boring, not exciting, to wait for the game.

It's proberbly too soon to ask this, but when do you think the next game after Stranger will come out? Before the end of 2005?

Yes. If the stranger game is out before August, then I believe the next game to be out early 2005. Lorne or someone Oddworld said that they're using the same engine so they can pump out games much quicker, as in one a year.

Are we still discussing this? Can no one remember that Alf himself posted that the release date was totally non existent yet, and that it would remain so until we were told? June sounds like a wonderful time for Stranger to come out, but so does July. Or May.

Honing in on the topic, I can't follow your logic, PA, as to why references to hats and spring and there being no news in February should point towards June being the month of release.

I was just noticing that there are some websites and even some magazines that have published a release date for the next game. What's up with that? I don't even know that! It will be posted at oddworld.com when it's set. Any other dates that you may see prior to that are pure speculation.

It's very possible that Stranger is coming out in June. Alf said that there is no release date yet but that doesn't mean that the date is completely voided, OWI is being very 'hinty' about this game and any information of the slightest is going to be gossified among the masses, and I respect that. Alf merely said that alot of the release dates scattered among gaming sites was fabricated, and I think this one sparks up the most interest because;
A. It is beleivable
B. It's on a well known Pre-Order account
C. Has yet to be confronted by an official source
Basically I'm saying that we can't rule out such predictions or theories just because Alf said some sites had false release dates. Besides it says MO2, not Stranger, so there is more to be said here.
