Scrabs v.s. Paramites: Who would win?

You've read it right.
Who would win in a fight between Scrabs and Paramites?

Both species have different skills in combat and kill in different ways.
The Scrab is strong and can kill without worries anything that has on its path, but the Paramite is smart and can be a nightmare if it attacks with other Paramites.
Sure, if we put a Scrab and a Paramite in the same cage the one who would win is most likely the Scrab. But if both species fight in a nature ambient the paramite would be smart enough to make a trap and surprise the Scrab.

Something like this hasn't be discussed on owf from a while and Megagargomon made me have the idea of making a thread about it.

So... who do you think would win? Discuss and vote!

note to mods: can you fix Scrabs name in the poll? can't do it myself.

If it's a group of paramites vs a single scrab, i wanna say Paramite.

If it's one vs one then I'm betting on the Scrab, especially if they are both in a cage.

If it was two there would still end up being one left cause Scrabs are dumb and fight each other to the death for no reason.
A straight 1 vs 1, A Scrab would win as they are powerful but Paramites are smart, they band together and know when to run/hide from danger.

Paramites seem to be more of a scavenger animal or a pack hunter than a territorial aggressor. They would flee instead of fighting something as gargantuan as a Scrab. So in the end there is just no fight.

say it was 3 paramites against one big scrab, i'd like to think the paramites would win because i love em but scrabs can do that super duper spinny attack thing which would probably waste the lot of them.

i still voted for paramites though. they're too cute. para-power.

it's a tie tbh. scrab would be pursuing paramite. forever.

Paramites.
Together they can be a real danger.
2 or more Paramites = Deadly team!

Scrabs aren't making a good team.
Two (or more) Scrabs=Fight!

It does not matter who makes a better team. Paramites still hunt using dumb onslaught. A spinning Scrab can not be killed by something like that.

so looking at the poll scores if it was 5 scrabs against 7 paramites the scrabs would kill them to death. which is depressing.

abe can be the one bystander someone voted for.

not before the scrabs kill each other to death and the lone survivor would be easy pickings for the paramites

Abe would die even to 1 Paramite. I doubt even 4 Paramites can kill 1 Scrab together.

It's difficult to even gauge this argument considering we've only ever seen their behaviours within the limited and learnable examples of a puzzle platformer like AO/AE (With NnT replicating that) and the weird chase and kick - in the case of the Scrabs of Munch's Oddysee, which didn't even feature the spinning attack.

But for my actual two cents; a pack of paramites could totally take a Scrab. Even one Paramite could take a herd of Scrabs given enough preparation time, you're forgetting about the webs. Paramites were able to trap at least six Sligs, a completely sentient species who should know better, as seen in the NnT Paramonian Nests intro. The Scrabs are home intruders and the Paramites are all Kevin from Home Alone.

I think one scrab could kill 100 paramites. Fuck you all.

But one paramite can make 100 webs.

It depends how Paramites use their webs - I had always assumed Paramites operated similarly to Trapdoor-Spiders - in that they don't trap their prey with silk, but instead use the vibrations in the silk to detect when potential prey is nearby and then attack with stealth... in which case, if a Scrab wandered into their territory the Paramites would just lurk in their web and wait for it to leave. They're pure combat machines and Paramites just can't compete with that!

However, New & Tasty trashed that theory of mine with it's intro to the Paramonian temple:

- however, the consistency of these webs is significantly thinner and texturally different to that of the Paramite Webs seen in the rest of the series; much more similar to the Bolamite's webbing, leaving me to believe these Sligs weren't victims of Paramites, but some other arachnid inhabiting the same landscape.

If the Paramites webs are really strong enough to hold down a Slig and all their mechanical enhancements, then I think given a stealth advantage, a pack of Paramites would win.

Most spiders are able to vary the thickness and stickiness of their silk to fit different uses, so it's entirely possible that Paramites would do this depending on whether they're building a nest, a trap, or suspending themselves from the ceiling waiting for an ambush.

I'm pro-webbyboi.
