What's under the Slig's metal mask thing?

Hasn't anyone noticed that Sligs couldn't naturally have metal around their face? What is it? Who gives it to them? My first thought was that they were originally blind, and the Glukkons gave them sight and legs....

Well, you're right. They don't naturally have metal faces. Here is the only decent image I know of which show you a maskless slig. It is based on the Big Bro slig concept. As for who gave them sight and pants, I don;t know. It has never been confirmed, but probably the Vykkers had something to do with it.

Sligs can very probably see perfectly well without masks (you can see the eye on Xavier's pic, I think, without redownloading it), and in so far as OWI have told us, the masks are there purely for the aesthetic value - Management thinks sligs are ugly, and make them wear masks to they don't have to look at them. As for their pants... you can't patrol very well if you can't carry a gun.

Why would they be any less ugly with the masks on? Also, If I remember correctly, the red eyes of the mask provide some laser sensor of some sort. That's why I always thought they were blind. I remember there was an FMV in one of the originals where you got to see what the slig sees.

I remember hearing about some laser sensor on one of the LED messages in AE, I think it was called the Eye Stitch 2000.

Also I think the mask has something to do with controlling the metalic pants, apart from covering thier ugly faces.

Eh, no, that was to stitch closed the mudokon workers' eyes, so they couldn't see what they were digging up, hence the name...

No, there aren't. The crawling sligs have masks. Unless you're playing one of BiddaMD's crazy games where you get to see what a slig sees.

I swear...I'm not crazy, I did see an FMV sequence where you got to see something from a slig's point of view. I think it was in the first game.

maybe In AE, the sligs who control the 3 zap doors.

chic and beatifull is not the same thing...
so Gluks can like be chic but don't think they are ugly but think sligs are ugly
