That's pretty interesting.....but I'm not to sure. It's possible that Sligs and Slurgs are decsendents I think.....

Duh dudes, look at the slig's face. It is very similar to another oddworld creature, the paramite. But, not slurgs...they are on the bottom of the evolutionary ladder and will probably stay there for some time.
Well, you never know. All the creatures-on-the-high-dry-land-with-a-skeleton (I forgot the name for that) descended from some sort of fish... That includes us. Do we look like fish? (And I am not talking about avatars!) NOOOOOO!

Nooooooo! Sligs aren't descendants of slurgs. Sligs did descend from slugs from the swamps, we know that from Xbox.com's history article. But if sligs are the evolved version of a slug, then that slug has been superceded, evolved, moved on, now non-existent because sligs have been created and slurgs are still around. So forget it.

You know I think sligs are part of the octigi family since there was something on them being related to glukkens in some ways. To me they look like octigi. Think of a squid. They closely resemble that. I don't think Slurgs are part of the octigi family. Sligs have to be more octigi related because of the long tenticals comeing out of it's mouth. But you never know.

Exactly Xavier. I mean, we only get to see a handful of the millions of creatures on Oddworld. Why should two be related? If aliens knew only of humans and dogs, would they suspect us to be related? I mean, if the Slurg and Slig were linked somehow, I am almost positive that the game or some official source would tell us.

I just found out!.....Sligs come from *drum roll*...Paramites!It's just that glukkons captured them and put them in metal pants, they gave them a gun and a metal mask,then trained them.
