Sometimes, and for some reason more often these days..I have suicidal thoughts...never taken action though...and..today of all days...something has told me to just..do it..

I have the same thoughts. But as Phylum said, it would be plain stupid.
I shouldn't say I have the same thoughts because I don't. I am depressed but I have no intention of killing myself.
I often wonder though what would happen if I did.

I believe these thoughts are commonly associated with being a teenager and are cured by growing the fuck up. Hell I've had suicidal thoughts before (infact still do) but all you need to do is get a sense of perspective about the problems in your own life and how little they really matter. Which, correct me if I am wrong, comes from becoming an adult or gaining some maturity.

I get lapses, one minute ill be happy, next minute ill be really depressed and feel liek killing myself, and before anybody says it, no it is nothing to do with my boyfriend, ive been having these lapses since I was about 14.

god help you two when something terrible actually does happen. you see, it's people like you that seem to jump on the bandwagon as soon as someone says "i feel depressed" and try to compete with one another, thus trivializing the whole subject. just shut the fuck up and save your childish woes for a day when we might actually give a shit, because you clearly have no idea.

Speaking of depression, I might get an appointment with the GP to check up on my mental health but I don't know how to initiate the whole, 'Would you check me to see if I'm sad.'

1) Break down in tears when you enter the waiting room
2) Wail loudly
3) Gnash your teeth overdramatically
4) Grab someone (preferably a nurse/old person) shake them a bit. Then move your face within an inch of theirs and go "WHY?"
5) Appointment with GP

I've been depressed for years, get bullied at work, suffer from severe social anxiety.. and I can't kill myself coz my mum's still alive and I care about her... but me staying alive is just torture for the both of us.. I'm in a shit position.
