Anybody played the AO Hard Mode?

I think it's quite good apart from some shoddy CAM edits and many areas that are left unedited, but it is fun to play and quite challenging.

there's a forum post on there that says the site's been compromised by an anonymous hacker. i don't trust it :/

I 100% agree.

Also, Norton seems to get random results all the time. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a virus in there that it didn't pick up.

And i suggest to use Avast cause it pick ups real viruses... unlike AVG or Avira Antivir, F-Secure... :P

When I read the tittle, I thought it was something included in the game that I didn't notice. Now I see it is just a modified version of the game made by some fans. I've seen some videos of this hard mode and they really seem an interesting challenge to take!

It will get installed to different folder than normal Abe's Oddysee : )

I don't even know how to play Oddworld edits, either. AND I WANT TO.

As example if you get RuptureFarms level (R1.lvl) go to main folder in Abe's Oddysee

C:\Program Files\Oddworld Inhabitants\Oddworld The Oddboxx\oddworld abes oddysee
or
C:\Program Files\Abe's Oddysee

Create there folder called "Back Up" and copy all level (.lvl) files there...
Then you can replace with edited R1.lvl

If you want restore back to normal level then go to 'Back up' folder and replace to main folder...

(This is my method)

In Hard Mode Abe will get installed different folder than currently exist...

Thanks for the link Kapteeni. So far the hard mode doesn't seem that different, but it's nice to see these changes can actually be made. I'm surprised at how much Oddworld hacking has come on.

The first screen of Zulag 2 is impossible with out the ddcheat, the ledge has been removed so Abe has no safe spot to chant.

I though player should carry some grenades in pocket =D
Maybe something different should be better...

Why not just shove the level files into the zip, much faster and less hassle...

Plus the fact that it's an installer judging by the name I'm really not trusting it.

.pak files can only be opened with my installer...

zip file extracting is much more slower than my installer

part1.pak - 60 MB
Installer.exe - 6? MB (Installing Program + Files)

everyone can install it (ask kaptenni13 or oddplayer55)

sorry , looks like 000webhost fooled me , they deleted bytes from my rar file...
