They most certainly can. The Octigi picture is a piece of (contemporary/conceptual) art which shows Glukkons along with three other members of the same family.
The largest of the four members is the Gloctigi, a huge two-legged creature with an octopus-head. It's four tentacles are tiny compared to its body, though.
The next one down is 0.2 (a fake name, obviously). It appears to be a 'missing link' of types, between the Glukkons and the Mudokons. It is very broad, with weird clothes. I once heard a rumour that this species formed an Oddworld Mafia.
The next-smallest creature is out familiar Glukkon (looking quite small for a species nearly ten-foot tall), which tower above Octigi 0.1, an Sliggy-looking creature with the usual octopushead resting on four tentacle-leg type things, with no apparent body.
