It was cancelled two years ago, when OWI stopped internal production.

A lot of people were relieved, because they didn’t like the look of Fangus.

Also, it’s not an Oddworld game.

Welcome to Oddworld Forums.

I have a feeling that is all he had to say, he probably won't be contributing to the forum much...

Yeah, Fangus was cancelled quite some time ago, so don't make such a big deal about it.

Are you like... Obsessed with Stranger or something?
Yeah, OWI should make another game, but after Citizen Siege, and they probably won't let us down.

Well Fangus was supposed to be some kind of Stranger 2, not story wise but gameplay wise... It would be based on the same engine.

But it got cancelled, face it...

It looked TEH WRONG.

If any more Oddworld games, the classic 2D ones would be what I'd want. Those were the best, and most games are 3D nowadays, but there's alot about 2D games that seperates them from 3D. I think it suited Oddworld so much better. Nicer environments etc., and some puzzles wouldn't be possible in the same way.

I agree with you there. But people want 3D now, and OWI might not even get enough money from any new 2D games, but I'd like it as much as you do.

Barring the end of modern civilisation and the eventual re-invention of video games as we claw our way back up to our current status, along with the bizarre survival of Oddworld Inhabitants through the whole ordeal, there will never be another 2D game.

So go outside, find a nice empty field and yell "AAAAAAARRRRGHGRAAAAH!!!" at the top of your lungs. That way you won't be spamming our pristine forums.

Oh, and if you don't start putting at least a modicum of effort into using grammar, I will hire my grammassassin (i.e. Max) to hunt you down and teach you the importance of the Shift Key.

Welcome to Oddworld Forums.
Wasn't there speculation that it was part of a different cycle which was related to Oddworld in some way?

No, all we know is simply that it's another universe where "humans" didn't evolve from monkeys but from cats and dogs

Yeah, Stranger’s Wrath is my favorite as well.
I think I read that there will be a citizen siege game to go along with the movie you at least have that to look forward too.
.............................
I think if citizen siege does well OWI may get back to the OW games (or at least I’m hoping they will)

Is there any information on this? Because I got the idea that it was an Oddworld game. Where did you get this information? Even if it isn't an Oddworld game, i'd say that's a pretty creative dystopia.

I'm eagerly looking forward to Citizen Seige's release and seeing what the brilliant minds in OI created this time around. As for Fangus, I don't think it really would have turned out that great- AO and AE were absolute hits, but MO and SW don't seem to be doing so well on the popularity scale. And from what I've seen (that is, of course, assuming I got the character and the production sketches matched correctly) Fangus seemed a bit too human to be Oddworldian.
