Agreed.
There's a thing called the rule of thirds. It's where you imagine the image in a 3x3 grid and you plan out where you want what. Things such as distance and size have to looked at carefully to have good composition. What you
don't want is to have the focus in the center of the grid. Having most of the action a little bit above or to the side of the center is alright. That pic of the garden was wonderful. Little details like the close-up of the bushes on the sides and then the water leading out to a small bridge gave it great composition, but for others like that one of the duck and cat, the main focus was right in the center and made the image a whole lot less exciting.
Just something I learned once.
