Lemme make things clear 'cause people don't read my posts carefully:

But it is an excuse to spend time with families who do celebrate it, so I enjoy that, at least.

Other than that it means nothing to me.

Do you at least eat lots of food, get drunk etc? Christmas has never always been about religion. None of my family are religious and we've celebrated it forever. It doesn't have to be meaningless!

No. I can do that at any time of year to celebrate any event I chose (such as Birthdays). Christmas isn't one of them - Just the time when Christmas cake is available. And I like Christmas cake - Its nice to share too.
I'm with JG on the expensive gifts and the annoying carols - I mean I don't mind carols if they're performed traditionally, some are really nice, but as I said earlier what's with the crappy pop covers that you hear everywhere at this time of year? They annoy me so much.
As for gifts, I like to give gifts for birthdays or for the sake of giving gifts as meaningful goodwill gestures when I feel like doing so. I don't like how I'm expected to give and receive goods just because "that's what everyone does at this time of year". That doesn't seem like a good reason for me. Of course I do it anyway to keep up good relations with people (especially my nephew), but I still don't agree with it.
(that also may be 'cause I don't have very much to give, nor do I want very much either)
Did I mention that the commercialism of it all annoys me as well?
