Yes the sequal to the amazing Portal was announced a couple of weeks ago and since i'm so exsited for its release, i decided to make this thread to ask you lot what do you think of it so far?

Okay, now if I had a source for everything I;'m about to post, I'd post it, but I don't, so just take my word for it. I read this somewhere earlier today:

-Portal 2 takes place 'hundreds of years' after the first game.
-Single player character is Chell.
-Co-op characters (the core and turret) are part of a separate storyline, both have Portal guns and they've gained sentience or something similar; GLADoS is dicking around with them.
-All the personality cores we saw activating at end of the credits in the first game are now active in the facility, one of them (named Whitley or something) acts as a guide to Chell and drags her out of stasis.
-GLADoS is PISSED because you killed her.
-Won't actually have anything to do with Half Life, the two stories won't collide, etc...

If they're charging full price for it on itself, it better be a lot longer than the first. Portal was a fun, but not $60 fun, which is why it came in The Orange Box.

Well... Episode 1 wasn't all that great. Episode 2, though. Holy shit.

Episode 1 was great, the Kleiner cast was so funny and i really enjoyed the Lowlife chapter in the Dark Carpark with the Zombies. but i agree with OANST (For once) it wasn't all that great.

And i enjoyed Episode 2 quite a lot because it was diffrent. It made a change to the city areas. also White Forest was one of the most impressive natural areas i've ever seen in a FPS.

I liked the Antlion caves in Episode 2, thought they were pretty fun. Reminded me of the PS1 game Medievil. The last battle was a bitch though. Seriously.
