Sorry, forgot which thread this was being discussed in

Anywho, on Oddworld's main page they have up a nice ole picture of our hunter friends. Even though it's small, they look really cool...

"Trying to sell someone on what makes Oddworld, Oddworld is like trying to explain what makes a person human. Like any living thing, Oddworld is defined more by a collection of traits rather than a single label." That's what writer Brendan Sinclair said after his recent visit to the Oddworld studios. Read his cover story in the March issue on newsstands now."

Wow, the poacher looks really cool and lazy.Good find Esus. For some strange reason, the magazine on there reminds me of Jeepers Creepers. That's strange...

I hope someone can get a bigger picture of it. Nice find!
Anyway, that looks just like the Grub Hunter only a little thinner and more....well...intelligent. They defineately wear the same clothes. Compare...

You can see that the actual full sized cover will have an expectionnally high-res shot of the hunter, he's gonna look really good.

Do you have a scanner? Or a link with a better pic? Get up quick! Must see the rest!

I do have a scanner but I have nothing to scan. That image was taken from Oddworlds main site - and I doubt it's even possible for me to buy the magazine - livin' in England an' all.

I just meant that the hunter looks pretty damn high-res even on a small version, so it must look really good on the large version.

I've played all the rayman games, I don't know what you're getting so worked up about. Very few things look even remotely rayman, ferill. Wait for the actual game before rushing to such a conclusion.

Anyway, Esus...I wouldn't worry. It's the march issue and it's not even march yet.

The designs are different, but they are a long way away from rayman.
The big guy on the mag cover is the same guy who is in the centre background, of the old logo for the Stranger game, who i thought was another Steef. Obviously not.

I've already been looking for it (Magasines usally sell monthly issues ahead of the actual month.) and I couldn't find it in any store I went so I decided to order it online a few days ago so hopefully I'll get an issue any day now.

It's the basic stereotype. The cool british butler. I mean, if I had a butler, he'd have to be english.

Well, I think it's more thought about the english. British could mean Irish, Welsh or Scottish... but yeah, people only talk posh when playing up to the stereotype in my experience.

Good find, Esus. Can't make out much, but the belt and belly do indeed look like the Grub Hunter. If that's him, though, he's lost his throat-pouch. Can't wait for the scans/imports.

Alternatively, buy the magazine and increase their sales, giving them the rightful impression that there are enough fans of Oddworld to warrent these kinds of features.

:
British could mean Irish, Welsh or Scottish...
It could also mean Cornish, West Country, Norwichian (ahem), Liverpudlian or Cockney. Each with its own distinctive accent, too.

English English? You mean Queen's English, right?

One accent I don't like hearing is that of Norfolk, its proper farmers accent, like. With things like computer and stupid pronounced with a hard p... Annoyingly enough, I have that accent...

Don't worry Max, they're not the same guy. First of all neither of them are the same colour, besides in this picture I attached you can tell that they are two seperate people.

Yeah the guy on the left has a much more gaping type of jaw, kinda like Munch's. But from what I can see I am almost certain that the guy on the left is the one on the cover.

Ah, you're right. Funny how they have the same belt and belly, though. It would be interesting to see what's on that buckle, though.

It'd also be interesting to see a proper picture of the crab, but it seems nobody's yet bought February's Polygon Mag.

Max is right. Those who have the magazine availible to them really need to buy it. The scans are mearly for those who don't have Polygon in their area.

I don't think that at all. I just said it's the basic stereotype of british, which is quite funny because most british don't even act like that...at least I think so.

Well, I've been to everystore in my area; Barnes and Noble, Boarders, etc. and they've either never heard of it or don't have it in stock yet. Thats why I ordered it online something like a week ago, which means it should be arriving any day now. As soon as I get it I'll let you all know.
