Interesting find, Atusiya. I couldn't actually be bothered to trawl through the first three quarters of it, because I've got limited time to work in right now, and because Lord of the Rings bores me to absolute tedium. But maybe one day.

At least one AI game creator agrees. “Production studios are really interested in this technology for television applications, where efficiency is important,” says Lorne Lanning, co-founder of Oddworld Inhabitants and lead designer of “Abe's Oddysee.”
Very good find Atusiya, I belive this is just a hint of what we can expect in the next game; Judging by what we've seen and heard! I can't wait for more info.

Yes, great find, atusiya! I read the whole thing. Stuff like that really interests me. Anyway, for those of you that're like Max and don't feel like reading...I'll sum it up for ya.

AI technoledgy used in battle sequences for Lord of the Rings is catching attention of filmmakers. LOTR created a powerful AI program for those amazing battle scenes. The video game industry and movie industry want to help each other and make this technoledgy better so in the future a director could tell the AI what it wants and the program will perform in real time. This could ultimately improve the way we see movies and video games. Also, another reason this is so awesome...Lorne was the premier guy this article used to represent the VG world. Amazing.

Wey, thanks oddguy. Video games and movies merging into the same territory is something Lorne has always been keen to express, so it's no surprise he's worked his way into this topic.

Further kudos to you, Atushi.

Funny you brought this up, atusiya. Massive(The Program) is nominated for a Science and Technoledgy Oscar. The link is your friend.

Well, I'm glad to know that OWI is trying to still push the boundries on their games, and use the lastest technology, just like the movie industry does for their own effects and AI programs, etc.
