Abe's Oddysee Race!

Hey Chumps!

This week is pretty exciting. I am about to race the runner who is second place in Abe's Oddysee!

Me and Shupuk will be battling it out and see who becomes first place with glitches that if you mess up, your doomed!

See us race sometime this week at:
twitch.tv/Samlaptop95
twitch.tv/Shunpuk

Time: 3PM BST on 26/09/2014

Update: Shunpuk has been feeling awful today so we'll be racing next week instead.

AO is not a racing game, as far as I know.

We are doing a 'speedrun' race. We are seeing who beats the game with the fastest time.

I have to let Shunpuk know on Friday when I'm back at home because I have Uni on Friday morning. It will be sometime in the afternoon UK Time. If you follow me on to my Twitch you'll be alerted by e-mail when I'm racing and when I'm attempting my runs.

Not sure if this is worth trying as soon as I actually get to play this, but for reference I recall a few AO speedruns on youtube from years ago that you might want to check out.

I got a new World Record yesterday. 11:11! Yeah there were runners like Sligfantry who only did a segmented run of Oddysee and Exoddus but that was even before the new glitch was found. LoStraniero91 did a good segmented run too.

Here is my new record:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzoZ75tZsjE

Blooper at the begining but the run starts after the blooper. I'm submitting this run to SDA. This is a single segment run and I'm planned to make an audio commentary track.

Update: The race will start on Friday. See first post for details.

I love that precision slig dropping onto the UXB at the end of stockyard return

I know we asked this last time someone brought up runs here, but what's the deal with the bees in the Monsaic Lines? I get that you're death-glitching to become invincible, but why/how bees and what's up with the gamespeak? I'm guessing that's to time a specific delay?

I do the GameSpeak because it gives me accurate timing. The wait before sneaking into the second spawn of bees is 3 seconds, then you sneak 3 tiles in and then let go of sneak after sneaking the third time. Keep hold of left and the glitch should work. The hardest glitch I found out of the entire run was the backwards jump. It's frame perfect.
