Cetanu's Dungeon of Art!

I prefer to draw, mostly with pencil, but I'm starting to get into charcoal.

Lemme know what you think:

Latest thingy, HAVE NO FEAR! I am fixing his stumpy legs.

Comic I started, but I'm too lazy to finish!!

Page 2 of that comic without words or lettering and stuff, the pencily frames are changed now, just not inked. Too lazy. Meh.

Meh.

Meh again.

Character that's more of a doodle. I made him for an RPG I play in.

I love this.

Meh.

Very meh.

Thoughts and comments/hurling bags of flaming crap appreciated!

From the Predaphiles Website:

:
1. A person who has an interest (strong or passive) in the alien hunter the Predator, also known as a "Yautja". Predaphiles differ from your average run-of-the-mill Predator fan in that they have the belief that Predators/Yautja have an actual culture, setting them aside as an actual fictional species and society instead of an ugly movie monster, and are willing to discuss this to the fullest capacity with their own theories as well as create fanart and fanfiction to put it to practice and to visualize it. They also believe in the "noble warrior/hunter" aspect and mindset of the Predators, which has been seen and validated in all released movies that feature or star Predators. Most Predaphiles do not believe in the "Hish" concept of Predators, and think of John Shirley's "Forever Midnight" as extreme AU, and not to be considered as any type of fact toward the canon.
2. A person who supports or at least recognizes the subtext relationships of Predator and Human seen in the novels and comic books, as well as the Alien vs Predator movie (2004).
3. A portmanteau of the word "Predator" and the Greek word "Philia" which translates into the word "friendship" and has the meanings of having love, dedication and admiration for a particular subject or thing.
4. Someone who has a sexual attraction to the Yautja species. Not all Predaphiles are sexually attracted to the Yautja. But if picking 5 people out of a group who say they are Predaphiles, about 4 of them will have a sexual attraction to the Yautja.
Now ENOUGH. On with the artwork!

Signed,
The Chairman

Mr. Crazyfun looks a whole lot like GIR from Invader Zim.

Mr. CrazyFun is the gun's name, the character is iPEF (Intelligible Productive Experimental Failure).

And everyone keeps telling me that, but I doodled iPEF and that's what I got. He has a personality that is nothing like GIR.

I like the eye and nose/mouth studies.. Those are quite detailed and nice
Although the rest of the work is ok, I do feel it lacks a certain lack of depth.. But it is something you will develop from continuous practice and observation =) Im sure you'll be able to do some amazing stuff. I mean so far you already have a good hold on perspective and landscaping I sort of envy you as I'm bad with landscapes n such.

Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it all.

I am trying to work on what I can do with shading to give my drawings depth, and such. I am also trying to work on my humans since whenever I draw them they SUCK.

Thanks, again.

well... Working from life is always a good idea, as it gives you a good respresentation of shading and lighting and such

Maybe if you have some of your friends act as a model for you, or draw/shade from a photo. Just be sure to notice where the light comes from.

Oh, problem #2:

Shading! Even though that's like the biggest thing with drawing (well). I don't usually draw from pictures 'cause it makes me feel like I'm copying, but I have tried drawing from life.

But then I get frustrated when things turn out wrong, so I guess I'll just need to deal with it.

Well I don't like copying either, but that's not the point The point is that you observe how the shading will fall, and it will stick to your brain over time... No one says -all- of your work has to be original. Specially when you just do studies.

I tend to get frustrated too.. But lately I've just been trying hard, and tried to ignore my failures... As I wanna learn, not create amazing pieces of art. I realized that pretty much the only way to learn is to make mistakes and learn from them. I mean, I'll be trying the same thing a couple of times untill I get it right. Trial and error.

So, I was drawing some concept art for my friend's comic. It's SUPPOSED to be a superhero-like guy in a suit of darkness...I don't like how this one turned out AT ALL, so I'm going back to the drawing board. However, feedback/pointers is still appreciated.

Thanks ye

I loved that comic you started. I suggest you continue to work on it, it looks like it would have been great.
