Alright. I am a zoophile. It means that I have a sexual attraction to animals, or a specific type of animal, in my case, cats, big and small, except the ones that resemble a mop. I'm really sorry if that grosses any of you out, and I know it will, but the thing is, people often confuse zoophilia with bestiality. I may be a zoophile, but I'm not a bestial. I may have an attraction to cats, but I don't do anything with them. Ever.

Yay! I am not alone anymore. And cats too, you just made my day
. Ver courageous of you to just step out like that, I commend you for that.
:
And yes, there is a large difference between bestiality and Zoophile.

Hm... in a way, yes. However the gap between the two isn't as big as you might think because look at it this way: People who have intercourse with any animal chose to do so because they fancy the idea or have an above average interest for the animal (this excluding the psychopaths and adult movie industry). One could say that because they have intercourse with an animal, that they are attracted to that particular animal as it doesn't really make sense to do something like this if your not in a way attracted by it. So, Bestiality is a form of zoophilia, as a certain level of love and attraction has to be involved for someone to have sex with an animal. Zoophilia however is not always a form of bestiality, like Skilya pointed out. Attracted to but will never commit act with.
:
You know, someone could logically argue for zoophilia (or whatever) and make a bunch of valid points, I'm sure, but at some point you just instinctively know when something is just plain wrong. You know.
|
I can personally understand that point and I won't go around telling everyone that zoophilia is a natural thing that everyone should be doing. I don't believe nature ever meant for cross species intercourse, then again I also don't believe that nature meant for flowers to be blossoming in f*cking January...
Zoophilia might not be a natural thing, man is not SUPPOSED to be having sex with any other species but their own but still it happens. And there is nothing moraly wrong with that as long as both parties agree on the act, meaning both human and animal.
:
Just like gays and bis, a large majority of the bestial community I consider to have convinced themselves to be that way. The internet is to blame. Gay is the new black, and 11-14 year olds see these things as lifestyle choices. Don't take this the wrong way, because it's true.
|
I wouldn't see how any normal person with no attraction to animals whatsoever one day 'convinces' him/herself to go have sex with a horse or something? Thats simply not the way it works. Of course you always have the ugly guys that just can't get anyone and still haven't got laid by the time they are 30 and then decide to grab a dog instead, but thats not the kind of people we're discussing here.
Zoophilia, or even Bestiality to a degree, is just like being gay, not a choice, but a sexual orientation. Mostly an additional sexual orientation (I for example am straight with a high interest in girls but tigers do it for me just the same) but I also know people for who it is a primary orientation (people who arn't in the slightest attracted to their fellow species).
:
Being part of the furry fandom myself (( oh boy >>; )) I get accused of being a zoophile quite alot. while i have no mutual attraction to normal animal of any kind. yet it seems people just link the two together.
|
That is an entirely new discussion altogether and one where I would disagree with you, where the basic point would be: You have to have SOME attraction to animals otherwise you wouldn't be a furry (assuming you are actually in the adult community rather then the clean one
).
:
Bestiality, however, could be called wrong, as it can be cruelty to animals.
|
Of course it can be, respect for the animal is a very big matter. And no-one would ever defend people who don't have that respect. Especially not people from the zoophile community itself.
Yay for quote boxes
