Its fun to finally get some affirmation. I have hated this band since their first hideous single exploded on to the air and left a stink trail behind it.

All my friends are like "Wow this band rocks" and Im writhing in agony at their cheese ball lyrics and predictable / laughably stupid guitar tracks.

So then they come out with a few more terrible songs that some deaf guy in the radio biz decides is a top 40 hit and so it gets played constantly.

I thought I was the only one going "Um... isnt this the same song?" Oh no it wasnt said their fans. Nickelback is highly talented and their songs are all totally amazing. NOT.

One of their songs will play out the left speaker, another plays out the right. They both start at the same time, neither one has been edited.

And people say their songs arent just the same one song over and over...

Its truly hilarious how wrong they are.

Yeah I agree with you Mac. Too bad no one actually needed to go to all this trouble. Although it is great to use as evidence. Chad Kroeger (singer) admitted in the Rolling Stone magazine that once they found a song formula that works, they are sticking with it. And How You Remind Me was a massive 'hit'. What a bunch of cocks.

Some bands tend to use the same instrumental pieces, but modify it in the correct way. Though Nickelback have certainly not done it in the correct way! They're so similar it's not funny.

But, I guess you have to marvel at their continued success. Something must be working.

Nickleback are a bunch of talentless hacks who've basically admitted that their "songs" are nothing but cornball, paint-by-the-numbers bullshit. I think these guys would do any disgusting act, any perversion or vile deed, if their lame ass songs were guaranteed Top 40 hits. In fact, Kroeger is probably tea-bagging an indy right now so his latest piece of excrement will get some hard core air time.

I couldn't care less about "most" mainstream music ... I don't even know why I looked at this topic, bored I guess. Although I aren't quite in the dark on such music, I have heard of Nickelback, I just have no idea of any of their songs. But it's just lame as to use the same music and put different lyrics to it. Especially as a single [read: cashing in]. There would be exceptions if it were like a unreleased track, alternate version, different language, etc. But that speaker thing is amusing.

But you know, it isn't anything new. Bands done that back in the 50s and 60s according to my parents. My mum always listens to the oldies station. And there's this one song about school that sounds like this other song about riding in a car. So I questioned my mum on this years ago, and said ... that song sounds like that other one. And she said, yeah, it's the same tune, they just put different lyrics to it and re-released it.

All that website did was remind me of how much I enjoyed those two songs, so I listened to them again.

I could care less about what happens behind the scenes. If the songs sounds good to me, I like it.

Which do you care more about? The process of creating the song, or the end product?
If you choose the former, that's like saying you didn't like Oddworld because something you didn't approve of happened during it's creation, where you SHOULD be focusing on what comes out of it all.

If you genuinely don't like Nickelback's songs, then that's fine and dandy. But I'm sick of hearing people say "oh, that song sucks because the band is sold out" or what have you.

Avril is a terrible artist but I'd still hit it. The only thing that makes these pop "divas" bearable is the cornucopia of videos with them being skanks. I think these videos are like Playboys, but instead of saying you read the articles you say you like the tune. Sure, Fapmaster, that's the only reason you like Lady Marmelade, you like the TUNE.
