Conflicting plans...

*Setting: The sky was dark and the wind howled restlessly. Sheltered inside the abandoned Hotel the Shadowcrawlers awaited their briefing from the leader, the old lights flickering overhead. They were all centered around the Lobby, some sat, some stood. They were restless. Wanting action. Wanting to fight against the organisation they were formed to fight against. The sound of wheels upon marbel flooring could be heard from the back of the room and as they turned to look in that direction they saw him, he was being wheeled into the Lobby by Lilias. A chequered quilt was draped over his stumps. Stopping, she turned him to face the crowd in which he addressed...*

Shadowcrawler superior: "It is time. Time we made our move and sweep D-11's legs from underneathe it!! We shall be victorious, even if our past plans were faultered..."

He spoke triumphantly, detemindly. It was as if he was going into battle himself. The Shadowcrawlers smirked to themselves, nodding in agreeance. Their tails sweeping the ground, gently wagging. Lilias stood silently behind the wheelchair, watching the eager Soldiers get more and more motivated.

Shadowcrawler superior: "Tonight we ambush them!! I've arranged for the Agency to dispatch a group of their employee's at the crash site of the recently downed Airship. That is when we'll attack...Lilias."

He tilted his head upwards, glancing at her briefly before looking at the group again. She then took center stage as she stepped around from the back of the wheelchair.

Lilias: "Thankyou. Yes, as they search for Computer Hard drives and Data information we will attack. We shall kill a quater but kidnap the remaining group...we will need them alive and able to speak if we are to interrogate them. Remember that."

There was mumbling throughout the ranks. Only few 'crawlers had weapons as the rest were consumed in flames and buried under rubble back at the warehouse. Thus they were nervous about capturing live, highly trained Assassins...

Lilias: "Dont worry. You'll be equipped with Machete's and Swords as you leave. They're not much...but with the extent of your training, i'm sure you'll put them to good use. Now...GO!!"

***

*Setting: Cracking his knuckles Kowloon groaned. He was dispatching five of his best Assassins and three Trainee's to go out and recover material from the downed Airship. The five included Quade, Kai, Ella, Kei and Marl. The three Trainee's were Silian, a strong, male Sauk. Asandé, a Mudokon female with the power of telekenesis and Andoel, a young Saurian male. They were all stood in his compact office. There facial expressions showing no concern and their stature, proud and strong. The three Trainee's were situated behind the five Assassins, awaiting to be spoken to by the leader. Kowloon adjusted his red tie and coughed slightly before he addressed them.*

Kowloon: "You five were picked because you are the best. Dont fail me. We have four competing races wanting parts of that ship and i want to be able to please each of them without them knowing about one another..."

They all nodded gently and proudly. Proud to be asked to be involved in such a mission. Reaching under his desk he then produced five brown envelopes.

Kowloon: "Each envelope has a different objective. Complete them. DO NOT involve yourself in each anothers missions, that could jeopardise the entire operation. Stick to your own...one of these missions calls for a team effort. Quade. Ella. You two are partners for this mission..."

There was a slight groan from Ella, as she secretly wished she could have been paired with her lover, Kei. But still. It was probably for the best that she wasn't. Standing slowly Kowloon ushered the Assassins to a side so that he could speak to the Trainee's.

Kowloon: "You three have been chosen to go on this field excercise because i think it will be good for you. It will show you the true meaning about being a D-11 operative and how, sometimes, killing the beings who stand on neutral ground is best...Becareful out there. Do not, under any circumstances, allow yourselves to be captured. If you do, these five have the authority to shoot you...to kill you."

His eyes flicked from one Trainee to another.

Silian: "Why dont you just put us on an easy mission first? Why this hardass one??"

He spoke with a disrespect for authority and with a hint of bitterness. Kowloon merely smirked though.

Kowloon: "Because you three are progressing the fastest...I want to make sure your capable of handling the fire, heh. Each of you will pair up with one of the Assassins and listen to everything they have to say. Obey their orders and don't leave their sides. Understood?"

There was a nodding as the three looked to either side of the room. Pondering which Assassin to team up with. Silian didn't take long to decide and quickly stood next to Quade. The Saurian rolled back his shoulders and slowly headed towards the door, closely followed by Ella and the Sauk. The Telekenetic female was seemingly forced to join Marl as he clasped her shoulder and brought her towards him. Smiling. He then led her towards the door, leaving the young Saurian to pick Kei or Kai. He quickly opted for the Assassin of his race and stood near Kai. Then they followed the others out of the office, headed towards the armory to suit up and infiltrate the secured zone surrounding the crashed Labs...

Part 2

*Setting: Gunshots echoed throughout the nightsky, flashes from gun nozzles could be seen, showing themselves through the darkness. The sounds of Sligs on their radio's seemed to come from everywhere. Quade looked out from his resting place, he was behind a large sheet of metal, a piece from the downed Airship. Drawing his guns he looked into the darkness. He was wearing his ankle-length Leather jacket and black t-shirt and jeans. His feet were bare so that he could run faster and climb tree's if the time called. Silian was also resting behind the metal barriar, his breathing heavy and laboured, as he became increasingly excited about the situation they had been put in. He, too, was wearing all black.*

Quade: "We're gonna have to make a break for it...your contacts working??"

He referred to the contact lenses that the Agency had supplied all of the Agents with, they allowed all of the group to see in the dark and thus have an added advantage. Although the advantage was yet to be seen as the Sligs could also see in the dark and was making a great effort to stop the intruders.

Silian: "Yeh...aren't i gonna get a gun, though??"

He looked at his mentaur in frustration and hope. He hadn't got the chance to shoot a gun yet and he was eager to try it out now, on the field, in the midst of battle. Turning Quade looked at him and smirked. He then reached for his holster, which was positioned on his thigh, and brought out one of his two guns. Slowly he gave it to the Sauk.

Quade: "Becareful with it and dont shoot unless you need to, save the ammo..."

Nodding the, now armed, Sauk slowly climbed to his feet and on the three count, he and Quade ran out and attempted to get past the onslaught of bullets...

***

*Setting: Low snarls came from the darkness as yellow eyes became apparent. Most of the Sligs were looking in the direction were the gunshots were coming from and thus not noticing the Shadowcrawlers creeping out from the darkness. One by one the sly intruders positioned themselves behind the simple guards and dispatched them with a quick throat swipe of a Katana or Machete. It was a quick and silent death, one that meant the 'crawlers could progress quickly, and that they did. As soon as the Sligs were killed the horde of killers ran towards were the Agents were situated, ready to put their plan into action...*

***

*Setting: Ella cracked her neck as she psyched herself up. Accidently split from Quade she was now on her own with only two options. Proceed with the objective or attempt to reconvene with her assigned partner. Shaking her arms off to loosen the muscles she gently began to jog forwards, looking around and being ever-more aware. Reaching into her holster which was situated on the back of her black shorts she gently pulled out an Uzi. She did a quick scan of the immediate area and then took off, her feet making gently patting sounds as she progressed towards the main area of the crashsite.*

***

*Setting: A triumphant laugh escaped the telekentic Mudokon, Marl, as he gently rose a group of five surrounding Sligs off of the ground and into the air. Simutaneously stopping the bullets they fired upon him in mid air, inches from his, and Asandé's, bodies.*

Marl: "You see, they're nothing without the laws of Physics to guide them...NOTHING!!"

His face distorted into a snarl as he said these words, the Sligs continued to struggle, but doing so helped them little. For the bullets that they had fired were all begining to gently turn and once they had turned a full 180 degrees they flew back at their once firers, slicing into their skin and intentionally piercing any vital organs. As soon as the bullets had done this mere kill-job their bodies were dropped to the ground, allowing Marl to marvel in his accomplishment.

Asandé: "B-But...they were only doing their job. Right?"

Grunting the male Mudokon turned to his smaller, younger counterpart and frowned.

Marl: "And so are we...kill or be killed...you better learn that motto fast, my dear."

***

*Setting: Panting breathlessly, Kei sped towards a part of the forest that seemed to be covered in a large whiteish, tent like cover. Her objective was simple enough, to get paperwork and documentation of what the Vykkers were creating and what they were testing their products on. Nearing the tent she realised that a light seemed to be emitting from the inside and sillouettes of creatures inside were moving in a precarious fashion. As one got larger, she realised it was heading towards the edge of the tent and within a reflex Kei had dove into the shadows, peeking out to see what was happening. She watched as a small hand came from the bottom of the white material and lifted it up, an Industrialised Mudokon slowly stepped out, equipped with a small minigun. It looked around the area and sniffed the air, stepping forwards gently. Upon watching Kei also witnessed the beings death, she had believed that her and the other Agents were in this alone, all of this was proven incorrect however as two Shadowcrawlers seemed to drop from the sky, behind the Mudokon, place their hand over the guards mouth and then scewer him countless times with their weapons. Stepping back in the shadows she realised that she had to tell the others of what was going on, but as she thought of this she was met with the yellow eyes of another 'crawler...and then blackness decended.*

***

*Setting: Quade shot at every Slig he could see as he ran across the scorched earth towards a small, red van. Silian backed him up, although he didn't get to kill anything he still felt involved...*

Silian: "You think the other Agents are ok...?"

He shouted over the gunshots, hoping Quade would hear.

Quade: "Yeh, they should be. They've been trained well enough..."

He turned seconds before hitting the van with his back, denting the paintwork. The moon was directly above them now and thus allowing all attackers to see them as if it was daylight...

Quade: "Get in the van, we need to check as many as we can before dawn...!!"

Nodding Silian ran towards the passenger side and tried the door, it was locked. Quade meanwhile had leapt up on the roof and was making his way to the drivers side, hoping it would be open...

***

*Setting: Kai watched in shock, from a raised part of the downed craft, as he witnessed a mass of Shadowcrawlers swarming towards the main site of the crash. He had only just managed to get passed the Industrial Mudokons and Bountiees with his trainee, but the 'crawlers were making their way through them as fast as a horde of Locusts. He witnessed one in particular, a female, slashing with a somewhat expression of glee. She span around holding two, long Katanas and cut through as many opposers as she could, any who were too far away for a melee attack and fired upon her would then be dispatched another way as she seemingly danced, raising the weapons infront of her body and thus reflecting the bullets back at the attackers. Kai knew he and the trainee were going to have a tough battle if the Shadowcrawlers attempted to seal off the area they were currently residing in, and thus hurried the Saurian along to find the items they were looking for...*

***

*Setting: With a sigh of relief Ella noticed three red vans in her eyeline. All unguarded. They were situated in a row, side by side, with their backdoors towards the Changling and thus making it easier for her to break in. As she moved in and prepared to break the locks her attention was caught by a being seemingly climbing on the roof, steadying to a halt she attempted to face off with a Slig or a Mudokon but was surprised to find it was a Shadowcrawler. With a puzzled expression on her face she gently rose the gun, only for it to be knocked out of her hand by another 'crawler. She turned her head to the 'crawler who had knocked it from her grasp, and snarled. Getting in a fight stance, she prepared to face off with it. But the battle was over before it had began, as she confronted the creature on the ground another one came from behind and with a swift kick to the back of her head, knocked her unconcious...*

***

*Setting: Rummaging through the back of the small van, Silian and Quade quickly found the items they were looking for. Small discs that had recorded the happenings minutes before the Airship had made contact with the ground. Holding five discs in his hand he speedily shoved them in his jacket pocket. Looking outside Silian made sure no other being was approaching, his pupils dilated as he made a quick scan of the area he could see, before grabbing a handful of small discs and placing them in his trouser pockets.*

Silian: "Will that be enough...?"

He looked at Quade expectantly.

Quade: "No, but there's too many for us to get back to base. We're gonna have to send a retrival team back here aswell..."

Quickly Quade made his way out of the van, ushering his trainee out aswell.

Silian: "Now what??"

Quade: "Now we get back to the rendez vous point..."

Upon saying this a large thud came from behind him, as if a creature had landed on the roof of the van. Spinning around the Saurian looked up to see what it was, only to be knocked to the ground as the creature kicked him in the face. He landed on his rear and looked up, seeing the outline of a Shadowcrawler, who then leapt forward and landed feet first on his stomach. Winding the Assassin. Silian meanwhile pointed the gun and blasted three shots, all missing the intended target. As he fired the recoil of the gun pushed him back and seemed to send a tingling through his hands. A low snarl came from the being as it turned its attentions to the Sauk and kicked out, hitting him in the stomach and forcing him into the van doors. It then rose its leg up so it was the Sauks head height and swiftly kicked him to the side.

Shadowcrawler: "Take it...quickly."

It pointed down to the Sauk, realising that he was a trainee by his lack of weapon experience. The 'crawler then turned to Quade and smirked, unholstering its Katana and then raising it in the air.

Shadowcrawler: "Dont worry, we'll look after it..."

With both hands on the bottom of the handle and the blade held over Quades mid-section the creature brought the weapon down. The blade stopped inches from Quades skin. Looking at the beings face Quade could tell that it was putting all its weight down upon the blade.

Voice: "You really shouldn't talk so much when your about to kill someone..."

Out of the darkness stepped Marl, closely followed by Asandé. He smirked and seemed to be relaxed and not concentrating on the beings weapon, but he was. For years of intense training and practice had paid off and he was now able to lift immense weights without even blinking an eye. He smirked gently and concentrated on the blade itself, causing it to slowly turn inwards. The pointed blade going towards the attacker. The creature tried to pull the blade back and then tried to let go, but it was useless. The Mudokon had got its next victim and within seconds had caused the Katana to impale the being to the van, the blade cutting through the creatures chest, impaling the Heart and killing it instantly.

***

*Setting: Kai and Andoel ran through the woodland, turning briefly to see if they were being followed. By the time they had completed their objective the mass of Shadowcrawlers had descended upon them, thankfully not alot of them had projectile weapons and thus Kai and the Saurian were able to escape with minor injuries. But now as they ran they knew they were being followed, could seemingly feel it. Jumping over a rotting log the Saurians quickly made their way to a small lake, North to were they where.
*Slchhhh*
Andoel gasped, as he was running something had impaled him, slicing through his skin and muscle and emitting that sickening sound. Kai turned, wondering what the stunned gasp was. He was three metres away from his trainee and yet the creature had still been injured. It was the female 'crawler. She had hid behind a tree and held out her Katana when the Saurian was about to pass. The Katana itself was facing towards Andoel and thus the speed of him running and the force in which the female manouvered her weapon was a fatal blow, causing the weapon to slice into him easily, exiting out of his back. She smiled, feeling the creatures warm blood run over her hand, since the blade had gone in so deep that the handle was the only thing stopping it from going in further. Andoel looked at Kai sorrowfully, blood burbling out of his mouth. The trained Assassin stared at the female, his eyes burning with anger. Grasping the handle of his holstered gun he quickly pulled it out and fired five shots upon her. Yanking the weapon out of the Saurian, and thus causing him to fall forwards, she professionally reflected the bullets. Moving the blood stained blade infront of her face and torso, sparks flew off the weapon as the metals connected with severe force. Looking into her yellow eyes he realised she was a killer, and even if he did run she would probably get ahead of him somehow like she had just done...*

Kai: "Who are you...?"

The Shadowcrawler chuckled and stepped forwards, Kai had stopped firing now, even though he had three bullets left.

Lilias: "Me? I'm nobody..."

Saying this she span around clockwise and upon facing her opposer again, slashed outwards. Cutting into his stomach and causing him to utter a shocked response. She then reached up and grabbed the bottom of his gun-wielding hand and twisted it around to the left, so that he would be forced bend to the left so his arm or wrist wouldn't snap. She then straightened her back and looked down upon him, smirking. She gently raised the Katana, the blade hovering just under his coller bone. And with a quick lunge she had shoved a quater of the blade into him...his eyes welled up with tears as she slowly drew it out of him, savouring the sound of the skin being sliced. And as another one of her many victims fell...she leapt into the branches above her and made her way back towards the site...

Part 3

*Setting: The Heart moniter beeped steadily, showing Kai's stats. He looked bad, a bandage was wrapped around his chest, and his skin was pale. The Doctors had said he had lost alot of blood and that he would have probably died in the next 5 hours if it wasn't for Quade and the others stumbling across him and dragging him to safety. Still, his chances of survival were low and the surviving Agents felt disheartened. Stood at the end of his, all white, bed was Quade. Still wearing the clothes he had previously fought with he didn't have the care to change. He had lost a trainee, another had been killed and half of the assigned Agents hadn't reported back. Scratching the back of his head he turned and stepped towards the door, hoping that his friend would pull through...*

***

*Setting: A groggy moan came from the Changling, Ella. Her head was throbbing and she could hardly move. Looking up she realised she was in a darkened room with only light coming from, what was presumably, a door. She seemed to be sat on a metal chair with her hands tied behind her back and her legs tied to the front legs of the chair. Talking came from the outside the door, but it was indistinguishable and thus she took no notice. Shifting her weight on the chair she attempted to move around the room, possibly to get closer to the door and listen. But as she did so the sounds of moving alerted the creatures outside and with a low bang the door flung open and two sillouettes were stood looking at her, yellow eyes glowing gently...*

Shadowcrawler: "Get Hurn...GO!!"

He never took his eyes off Ella as he stated this, the other 'crawler immediatly took off out of sight, his footsteps padding on what sounded like a wooden floor.

Shadowcrawler: "Heh, you're the first to awaken...that means you get to have aaaall the fun first...hehe...heh."

***

*Setting: In a dimly lit conference room Kowloon debriefed to the remaining Agents and trainee. None of them seemed to have changed out of their mission wear and all three of them seemed anxious to know the low down on what the Agency was doing to make sure they got the other Agents back safe and sound.*

Kowloon: "As of yet we're not certain what the 'crawlers want. We have recieved no ransom demand. No contact in any way whatsoever...so, our best guess is that they want our Agents for information..."

Marl growled lowly and stared intently at Kowloon, wanting him to give some decent information. Like a location or name. He never.

Quade: "Who were they though? Who or what are they working for...??"

The Mudokon shook his head and brushed off his all black suit as he responded.

Kowloon: "Like before...we don't know nothing. All we know is that they maybe somehow related to the kidnapping of Hoolio, but so far that's not confirmed...other than that, we know zilch. We are, however, getting our best Scribers and RV's on it...hopefully they'll be able to turn a few things up."

By RV's he referred to 'Remote Viewers'. A creature that could psychicly hone in on a specific location if given coordinates. Scribers however were the creatures who found the coordinates, using a crystal and their psychic/mystic power to hone in on a beings energies.
*Ringing*
Patting himself as he searched his suit Kowloon snarled lowly, he had specificly asked for nobody to contact him until he had finished the debriefing. Clicking the 'answer' button he placed the red phone to his ear and spoke.

Kowloon: "I thought i said not to inter...what?? Who? When?...Ok...i'll be right there."

He hung up and placed the phone back were he had pulled it from. He then quickly hurried to the door, calling back to the others as he exited.

Kowloon: "COME ON!!"

***

*Setting: Sparks frizzled from the end of the Cattleprod as it slowly moved closer to Ella's face. Moving her head back she attempted to escape the harsh bite of the electricity but it was no good, eventually a strand jumped from the prod to her and sent a vicious pain into her right cheek. There were two Shadowcrawlers in the room now, the door was closed and the being holding the Cattleprod was wheelchair bound. The other 'crawler was female and stood leaning back on the door, her arms folded as she watched, bemused.*

Hurn: "Now, my dear. Do you wish to cooperate with us? Or...not?"

He spoke softly as he held the prod infront of her face, smiling as strands of blue electric jumped at her.

Ella: "What do you think?"

She spoke through gritted teeth, her eyes switching back between the male and female.

Lilias: "I don't know what you're thinking, hun. But i know what i'm hoping for..."

She leant forwards and rested her hands on the back of her uncles wheelchair, grinning slyly.

Hurn: "Yes. You either help us willingly or...we force you to. Beit through torture or actually going into your mind, we will get what we need to know..."

Ella: "Well then, i suggest you hurry up with the torture...'cos i aint saying shit."

A quietened growl came from Hurn as he swiped the prod across her face, sending an immense volt through her entire skull and also slightly cutting her cheek. Crying out briefly she attempted to refrain from showing pain.

Lilias: "By the by, don't think we're not willing to kill you...we have two others to get the information from, it's just a matter of time before we get what we want..."

She purred these words as she stood up and opened the door, allowing her uncle to back himself out and into the light of the corridor...

***

*Setting: Wearily Kowloon picked up the phone at Reception. As he was in the debriefing an anonymous creature had called and asked for him, stating they had information on the whereabouts of the three Agents...*

Kowloon: "H-Hello?"

He was leaning over the gray, plastic Reception desk, the white phone in his right hand and the coily cord stretched its full length. The Receptionist, a female Crate, watched intently as did the other Agents.

Anon creature: "Meesta Kowlune? I hav inforrmazion on vhe vher..."

Kowloon: "Yes, well...what is it?"

The creature seemed to be Russian and a very calm one at that. His tone was low, as if he was trying to stay quiet.

Anon creature: "Vhe Motel...32 Barrnabee Strreet. Vhey arre bloking ane kynd ov sykik or magick attempt too see vhem vhiv majick...vhey vill kill vhe Agents in oonder 90 howers..."

The phone went dead and Kowloon was left thinking over the authenticity of the information aswell as who the caller was and their agenda...

Part 4

*Setting: Quade shifted anxiously in the old warehouse as he watched the Hotel from afar. After recon had reported back with information regarding the captured Agents and seemingly backed up the anonymous phonecall, Kowloon ordered immediate action and three quarters of the Agency had been scrambled, surrounding the old Hotel and preparing for action. He had even ordered the trainee's to join them as, yet another, training excercise. The majority of the Agents were kitted out in heavy armour with automatic weapons and the ones that weren't were given strict instructions to stay on the exterior and pick off hostiles as they escaped. Quade and Marl were some of the few who were chosen to pick of the escapee's, which obviously, pissed them off. As dawn approached with every second that ticked by, Kowloon gave the order. Hovercraft of all shapes and sizes flew steadily towards the Motel, ready to dispatch the Agents they carried so that they Agents inside could be rescued...hopefully intact.*

***

*Setting: Blood dripped from the deep cut in Ella's cheek as Lilias stepped away from her, brandishing a scalpel. Smiling wickedly the female Shadowcrawler purred, licking the blood off the blade.*

Lilias: "You know, i could do this forever..."

Looking up the Changling snarled, the beatings she had endured were emotionally, physically and psychologically draining, to say the least, but she knew that eventually her torturers would give in...and either let her go, or kill her.

Ella: "B-But you won't."

She smiled awkwardly as she watched the female pace back and forth infront of her.

Lilias: "One of you will give in...i guarantee it."

Once again Ella smiled and gently shook her head.

Ella: "No...we won't."

As Lilias opened her mouth to reply there was a firm knock on the door, snarling the female turned and opened it slightly. For a couple of seconds there was some irrate chatter before Lilias quickly stepped outside and seemingly ordered the creature into the room. Stepping in the Shadowcrawler drew his Katana and stepped upto Ella before placing the blade upon her neck.

Shadowcrawler: "You won't leave here alive..."

***

*Setting: Lilias entered her uncles room and quickly headed to his desk were he was sat, solemnly. His room was completly bare, aside from his desk and an old matress thrown on the ground for him to sleep on.*

Lilias: "What is going on? There's talk of a possible attack..."

Looking up, her uncle nodded and sighed, he then pointed to the bathroom were the only window which wasn't boarded up was.

Hurn: "Our base is being surrounded. Its them. They've found us..."

Stepping towards the bathroom door, the female suddenly stopped. Sunlight was coming through the window, thus preventing her from seeing unless she wore some protective clothing.

Lilias: "Are you sure? How would they know where to find us??"

Wheeling his wheelchair to the front of the desk, the creature sighed and shook his head.

Hurn: "I don't know, or care...we need to leave, Lilias. We need to leave now..."

Lilias: "What about the hostages?"

Again the 'crawler shook his head.

Hurn: "Their lives are nothing compared to ours...if they die, they die. But we must live."

Stepping upto the back of his chair she nodded and then proceeded to wheel him out of the room and to safety.

***

*Setting: Smirking, the 'crawler ordered to guard Ella was bragging about the creatures he had killed in the past, ranging from Saurians to Big Bro Sligs and more.*

Ella: "So you're proud of the lives you have taken for nothing?"

Shadowcrawler: "It wasn't for nothing...i've always taken some kind of souvenier, whether it be a tooth...an eye...or Foetus, heh."

He stared down at her proudly as she turned away in disgust. He then forced her to bring her to look at him by grasping her hair and pulling it back. He then placed the point of the blade on the lower part of her throat and gently pushed.

Shadowcrawler: "I'm thinking i might take your Uterus...or Womb...something special like that."

Ella: "Nice(!) Tell me, have you ever killed a Changling before?"

Scoffing the 'crawler stepped back and smirked.

Shadowcrawler: "Course. Countless, infact. Killed a male, not so long ago...he begged for mercy as i skewerd him, forced my blade in so deep even the handle got stained."

Turning his Katana around he then showed the base of the blade were the blade met the handle, and there wedged in the join was the dried up blood of a male Changling.

Ella: "Don't lie, if that was real Changling blood i'd be able to smell it..."

The guard was taken aback and in his arrogance wanted to prove to the hostage that the blood was real. Bringing it closer to her face he encouraged her to smell it.

Shadowcrawler: "Go on, take a deeeep sniff. Taste it if that proves anything...might aswell get a taste of your destiny. Heh."

Looking up at him Ella silently mocked his stupidity and stuck her tongue out, lapping abit of the dried up blood off the blade.

Shadowcrawler: "Now do you believe me...?"

Smirking Ella nodded.

Ella: "Yeh, but you really shouldn't have allowed me to do that..."

As she said this her body seemed to shift and distort. Even though the male Changlings are too big for a female Changling to morph in to, females can still have a brief moment were there skin expands and changes, this quickly subsides however when the bones do not follow suit. But still, this brief process was enough to snap the restraints that held her and in a matter of seconds Ella had leapt up and kicked the 'crawler in the groin. The stunned beast fell to his knee's in dire pain, hardly breathing. Smiling Ella cracked her neck and then grasped the 'crawlers head, copied his DNA, morphed into him and then quickly snapped his neck. She then crouched down and picked up his Katana, before heading for the door.

***

*Setting: Heavily armoured Agents quickly headed to the roof door and edges. The one's who made their way to the roof door quickly kicked it in before descending the steps to the top floor, whilst the one's who headed to the edge of the roof jammed a shard of metal into the concrete, tied a rope onto the metal and then around themselves and then rapelled from the roof...*

***

Shadowcrawler #2: "Hey, Hurn wants to see you. Urgently."

The second 'crawler entered the small room were one of the other hostages was being kept and directed this at the guard who had been ordered to stay with the hostage. The blade of the guards Katana was pressed firmly on Silians throat, so that if Agents did break in the Sauk could be easily dispatched.

Shadowcrawler #1: "What? Why?"

Easing the blade off the creatures throat, the guard stepped forwards, just incase the information he was about to be given was covert. Unfortunatly for him as soon as he did this the second 'crawler had shoved its Katana deep into his stomach. The first 'crawler winced in pain, looking into the eyes of its comrade with a startled expression. The blade was then jerked upwards, cutting through the Intestines and Stomach before finally slicing through the Heart and thus killing the being. Watching in puzzlement was the beat-up Sauk, only when the 'crawler shifted into Ella did he catch on with what was happening, but even then he was still abit shellshocked to see his enemy change into his friend.

***

*Setting: Stopping on the 11th floor balcony Lilias and Hurn looked out across to the garage that was across on the next building and atleast five storey's below them. The garage was also on the outside, but thankfully the Suns position meant that the sunlight was behind the Hotel, casting the Hotels shadow across the ground and thus shading them from the lethal light.*

Shadowcrawler: "S-Sir?"

The voice came from behind them and upon turning Lilias and Hurn was greeted with the pressence of another 'crawler.

Hurn: "What is it?"

Shadowcrawler: "The Agents are cutting us down and the one's that have survived are retreating, most of the Agents are in the Hotel and we feel its the right time to arm the bomb, but the Lightkeepers are saying they won't arm it until they get verification from you..."

He shifted nervously, not knowing what his superior's reaction would be.

Lilias: "I'll go and make them arm it, you, take my uncle outside to the garage across the street. If i'm not there in 3 minutes drive him to safety, understood?"

Nodding the inferior footsoldier stepped upto his superior and crouched down infront of him, allowing him to clamber onto his back. He then stepped out onto the balcony and leapt out...

***

*Setting: Firing his Magnums at any potential escapee Quade quickly approached the main exit were the 'crawlers were leaping from. Thankfully he had the added advantage of the Sunlight to help him, which, if he missed, would kill, or atleast disable, the 'crawlers for him. As he neared the eight corpses he had helped to kill he holstered his weapons and crouched down, the window from were they where scrambling from led to a darkened basement. Reaching for one of the Katana's, the 'crawlers had holstered to them, Quade took a quick glance around and then descended into the basement.*

(OOC: Crapness i know, but i want to end this one so i can focus more on the decenter one's.)

Part 5

*Setting: The stench of stale air infiltrated his nostrils as he gently landed on the cold, stoney floor of the basement and quickly looked around. Four large, stone pillars seemingly held the entire building up, even though they looked like they were about to crumble and fall. Slowly he stepped forwards, the tail his leather jacket trailing behind him. To the right of him were a dozen, if not more, steps that went upwards and towards a bulky wooden door, which he assumed was the only exit. Turning to it he slowly began towards the steps, his tail swishing on the floor and thus stirring the otherwise settled dust. But as he neared the first few steps voices became more apparent from behind the door and in a couple of seconds the door itself was opened, casting light from the room above down the steps and lighting abit of the room up. Fortunatly Quade had lept to the right and was thus concealed in the denser, shadowy area of the room.*

Lilias: "It should have been armed by now, you're costing my uncle valuable time."

The female quickly sped down the steps, closly followed by a Lightkeeper who desperatly clasped his staff equipt with the large, glowing Orb on the top.

Lightkeeper: "Silkan gioal gammilam sjal."

It replied quickly and nervously, glancing behind it as it did so. Lilias ignored the beast however and upon reaching the last step quickly made her way to the middle of the room were she began scrabbling at the floor, scratching away at dirt, dust and tiles. Within a couple of seconds the female then began to slowly and cautiously lift a small oval shaped object from the ground. As the two beasts distracted themselves with this object Quade took the time to act, reaching into his holster he carefully grasped the handle of one of his Magnums and then slowly produced it, he then pointed at the female who was crouched down fiddling with the object. But as the weapon clicked as he cocked it, it alerted the female and in a matter of seconds she had stood up, span around, snatched the staff off the Lightkeeper and held it in front of her. The startled Lightkeepr began snarling in its native tongue ordering her to hand back the staff at once.
*Gunshot*
The bullet sailed towards the head of the superior female but in a brief second she had reacted, putting the Orb inbetween her and the bullet. The metallic projectile immediatly impacted with the, seemingly fragile, Orb and was instantly frizzled. Quade gasped in dismay and aimed once again.

Lilias: "It's no use...this Orb is indestructable unless the holder lets go, hehe."

She spoke over the violent howls of the Lightkeeper but as the seconds past she became increasingly irritated with it, to the point she kicked the creature in the chest and sent it stumbling backwards.

Quade: "Well, looks like i'll have to hack a few limbs off then..."

Putting his gun back he then swirled the Katana he held in a figure-of-eight style and slowly walked towards her. Cocking her head she scoffed and cast a glance in the direction to were the steps were.

Lilias: "Nahh, i'll save you some time...Catch!!"

In a matter of seconds the 'crawler had underarm thrown the staff towards Quade and then sped off towards the stairs, leaving the bomb inactive. In a reflex Quade reached out and attempted to grab the staff by the Orb, but as his left hand touched the surface it was immediatly burned. A startled and pain filled cry came from him as he let the object fall, and upon hitting the ground shattered. The cry of the Lightkeeper called out as it tried to scramble to its feet and head towards the stairs, but it was too late. As the Orb smashed a bright wave of light escaped, lighting up the entirity of the room with intense white light. The Lightkeeper screamed and called out as its flesh burned and quickly turned to ash. Quade staggered backwards, his eyes clenched shut and his hands infront of his face. But even this didn't help, the darkness that should have accompanied closed eyes was overtaken by white...

***

*Setting: Lilias sped from the basement area, across the Lobbey and towards the stairs that would lead her to the balcony were she had parted from her uncle. Her moves were quick to avoid the oncoming fire she was recieving from the countless Agents, she would dive, flip, roll and even spin to save her life. Thoughts rushed through her head, thoughts on whether her uncle was waiting for her. Thoughts on whether she would be punished for not arming the bomb. These thoughts had to be put aside however, for as she neared the doors which led to the stairs, two black-clad gray Saurians dived in her way. Their Cattleprods sparking at the ends. Lunging forwards the first attempted a stomach strike, but as the Adreneline coursed through her body she quickly dived down and slid along the ground, only stopping when she was at the creatures feet. It was at this point she kicked the being in its groin with her right foot and then as it doubled over placed her left foot on its chest. Noticing the beasts sidearm she quickly snatched the 9mm from its holster, and unloaded the clip into the second Saurian as it neared her, each bullet hit a part of the beasts head, shattering it into small pieces as the creature staggered backwards dying. Once she knew the second beast had been despatched she then pushed her left foot out, causing the first Saurian to sail backwards a good couple of feet. Climbing to her feet she then headed towards the staircase door, turning back around as she neared to fire at the other Agents behind her.*

***

*Setting: The hacked corpse of the male Shadowcrawler guard lay still in the room were the third Agent, Kei, was being held. Ella had despatched it by, once again, posing as an ally and upon slaying it morphed back into her normal state. Slicing the restraints that kept her lover in bondage she immediatly released her and upon doing so was met by a hug. Kei had been tortured the worse out of all three of them, her body had been sliced and the right side of her face was slightly burnt. But apart from that she was ok.*

Ella: "Quickly, take his DNA...we don't have much time."

She grasped her wounded girlfriends hand as she leant down and touched the dead Shadowcrawlers corpse, she then quickly morphed into him, wincing in pain as she did so.

Ella: "You ok?"

She asked this as she too turned into the Shadowcrawler she had previously been using as a facade. Nodding, Kei replied.

Kei: "W-Where's Silian?"

Ella: "He's fine, he's outside with the other Agents...which is where you'll be once we get out of here."

As Ella said this she moved towards the exit, aided her lover in walking and then opened the door and stepped out.

***

*Setting: Quade moaned and rubbed his eyes. The room seemed to be spinning and he was beginning to feel slightly nauseus. Leaning on the wall with his right shoulder he slowly moved to the steps, casting his eyeline down at the ashy corpse of the Lightkeeper as he did so...*

***

*Setting: In record timing she had reached the floor were the captured Agents were being held. Stopping briefly she pondered whether she should see if atleast one was still restrained, and if so, kill it. But as she thought this, she realised that the entire floor would be flooded with Agents by now, and shaking the thought from her head, quickly continued up the stairs.
Seconds after Lilias' choice to carry on up the stairs, the disguised Ella and Kei entered the stairwell. Heading for the steps that led downwards, Ella suddenly stopped, her nostrils twitching as she sniffed the air...*

Ella: "You smell that...?"

She turned to Kei who was now rested on the wall, breathing heavily. Slowly she nodded.

Kei: "T...The female."

Ella: "Yes. You think you'll be ok here for a minute or two?"

Her reply was a slow and unsure nod.

Ella: "Good, i'll be back in a minute..."

As she said this she quickly sped up the stairwell, following the scent of her once-torturer.

***

*Setting: Approaching the balcony Lilias slowed to a gentle jog. So far she had avoided and killed any Agent that had stood in her way, now all she had to do was await for her uncle to pick her up in the hovercar she had sent him to. Stepping out onto the small balcony she breathed in the air and looked towards the garage, and it was at this point she took a sharp intake of breath. A couple of feet away from the garage's side door was the corpse of the creature she had assigned the job of guarding her uncle. And if her pressumptions were correct, this meant that her uncle was dead...and the escape car guarded by Agents...*

Voice: "Ermm...Ma'am?"

Stepping off from the balcony Lilias growled lowly as she was addressed by one of her lowers...who had strangely managed to survive.

Shadowcrawler: "Where are we to relocate to? Where's our base going to be...?"

Lilias: "I've told you where the regrouping point is, it's....whats wrong with him?"

As she was about to announce where the next base was, her eyes glanced behind the creature she was speaking to. To another 'crawler who was leaning on the wall looking at them. His chest scarred and the right side of his face slightly burned. Turning to look behind him the first 'crawler gasped and muttered a slight 'oh no'.

Shadowcrawler: "N-Nothing...Agents...fights...thats all."

Lilias raised an eyebrow and growled suspiciously. She seemed to recognise the wounds that rid the creatures body.

Lilias: "Did our leader, Mikhail, make it out safely?"

Shadowcrawler: "Yes, i saw him. But you never told me where the regrouping point is..."

Smirking slyly Lilias nodded, knowing there was no Mikhail among the ranks and thus...these beings were not her troops.

Lilias: "No, and i never will...Changling."

As she said this she reached behind her and unholstered her weapon with her left hand, she then brought it forwards. In reaction timing the Shadowcrawler had grasped her armed hand and immediatly shifted into her normal form.

Ella: "Oh well, i'll just have to beat it out of you..."

Raising her foot Ella then kicked Lilias in the stomach, not only causing her to drop the weapon but causing her to stagger backwards. Reaching down Ella picked the gun up and then pointed it at Lilias who smiled softly. Aiming the weapon at Lilias' leg, Ella fired...
*Click*

Lilias: "Empty clip...heh."

Leaping in the air Lilias swung her right foot up and hit Ella below the chin. The Changling staggered backwards, stunned. The 'crawler then approached her and threw punch after punch into the beings face, chest and stomach. Finishing the combo by grabbing the right side of Ella's head with her right hand and then forcing her skull into the wall. Denting the surface and also severly stunning Ella. It was at this point that Kei, still in 'crawler form, reacted, through the pain that her wounds inflicted upon her she charged at the Shadowcrawler and lunged forwards. Snarling Lilias stepped to the side, grasped the Changlings shoulders and flung her to the floor. Kei moaned and shifted back into her original state.

Lilias: "Heh, not only do i get to kill an Agent...i get to kill two."

Turning back to Ella she grasped the Katana that was holstered in the creatures belt and drew it. Placing her foot on Ella's chest Lilias raised the blade and prepared to strike...

Part 6

*Setting: The Katana seemed to glisten as the point was pointed down at Ella's neck and with a final smirk Lilias pushed the weapon down. In a fraction of a second however Ella had raised her right hand, palm facing the point of the weapon and impaled her hand upon it. The weapon seared through her flesh and bone, stopping as it got half way through. The pain was unbearable and with a pain-stricken cry Ella kicked out with her right foot and hit Lilias' left shin, forcing her to fall onto her left knee. She then raised her foot so it was level with the 'crawlers head and swung it hard to the left, forcing her heel to connect with Lilias' skull and knock her to the right, dropping the sword which caused another doseage of pain to course up Ella's arm. Resting on her right elbow Lilias quickly scrambled towards where the balcony was, being foiled once more as Kei grabbed ahold of one of the tendrils that sprouted from the back of her head. Gritting her teeth in agony Lilias attempted to stand up, gripping the wall to her right to aid her in this. But Kei was just as determined to keep her down, quickly the Changling lunged at her foe. Wrapping her arms around her neck she tried her hardest to crush the windpipe of her once torturer. But Lilias was undetered and though her legs wobbled with the weight of her enemy she steadily walked forwards, towards the balcony. As this went on, Ella was slowly pulling the Katana from her hand, beads of sweat running down her brow heavily as she tried her best not to pass out from the pain. With a quick glance to her left she realised she could not bide anymore time and yanked her hand back as she pushed the blade forward, slicing more veins in the process. She then grasped the handle of the weapon with her left hand and stood...*

Ella: "Kei, get off her..."

She said this as she jogged forwards, intent on running the blade through Lilias' spine. Loosening her grip Kei slowly readied herself to let the 'crawler go and get out of the way, but it was no use. Lilias was already at the entrance of the balcony and as Kei let her go slightly, Lilias grasped ahold of her arms with her hands. Her nails digging into the Changlings skin and causing her to shriek out in pain.

Lilias: "Can your kind morph into Birds, hmmm...?"

As she said this she lifted Kei's arms up so they were no longer wrapped around her neck, she then brought Kei's right arm over her head, forcing Kei to be positioned at the left of her and dragged her to the right...where the balcony was. Due to Kei's weakness and Lilias' strength, it didn't take much for the Changling to be moved, and due to this she was easily flung off the edge. The old wall on the balcony to stop people from falling over was already partially crumbled and so the extra body weight of the Agent was enough to break through it...and it did just that.

***

*Setting: A shriek came from above, aswell as the sound of a wall crumbling. Looking up from his position Marl watched as one of his fellow Agents fell from the 11th storey balcony. He was clad in a black body suit with only his hands, feet and face not covered. Stepping closer to where the female was falling he pondered whether he should help...pondered over saving a life...and pondered over the outcomes if he didn't. As the female came closer into view he quickly recognised her as Kei...one of the female Agents who was the 'other half' of Ella. He snarled in disgust. Homosexuality wasn't to his taste and so he felt no remorse in allowing the Changling to die...and that she did, with a hard, bone-crunching thump...*

***

Ella: "KEEEIIII!!"

She dropped the weapon and stepped backwards in shock. The pain in her right hand quickly deminished and tears rapidly formed in her eyes. She mouthed her lovers name gently and with every blink a tear rolled. Turning to face her Lilias smiled. A smile so evil, so dark that it was clear that she had enjoyed every second of her actions.

Lilias: "Oh yes, thats right...you can only change into beings of your stature...silly me."

This hurtful and mocking comment cut through Ella like a thousand daggers through Silk and as the bitches words repeated over and over again in her head she spurted forwards. A scream hurtling from her lungs as a primal rage took over.

Ella: "YOU F*CKING BITCH!!"

Leaping at Lilias her hands grasped around her neck, her thumbs pushing down on the windpipe of her now, mortal, nemesis. Slamming into a wall Lilias smiled and graped the wrists of her attacker and slowly pulled them away.

Lilias: "Heh, you hear her scream as she fell? What a sweet note she hit..."

Her mouth widened in a gigantic grin as she whispered these hushed words, watching Ella's face contort into a face filled with agony and emotional torture.

Ella: "F*ck...you..."

After spitting these hatefilled words out at Lilias she morphed into her. Her whole body shifted into that of her enemy and for some reason Ella felt more powerful...psychologically anyway.

Lilias: "Oh, am i that gorgeous...?"

She chuckled these words in an amused manner before kicking Ella in the stomach, forcing her to stagger backwards in a bent position. She then grasped the Changlings head and lifted it up, looking into her eyes, it was as if she was dualling her reflection...

Lilias: "Lets see if i can make a pretty pattern with you aswell..."

Her nails digged deep down into Ella's face and with a quick movement, Lilias had forced Ella's head down, bringing her knee up simutaneously so that it connected with the Changlings face. The blow was fierce, so fierce it caused Ella to flop backwards and onto her back, were Lilias then grasped ahold of her right ankle and dragged her to the balcony...

***

*Setting: Stepping up behind Marl, Quade groaned in a mixture of disgust and sadness. The corpse of Kei lay spattered on the ground, her blood oozing softly and her eyes still open...revealing her final emotion before death. Revealing how petrified she truly was. Looking up at the tall, ominous Mudokon Quade sighed.*

Quade: "It's not your fault, i'm sure you got here as soon as you could..."

Without turning the Mudokon bowed his head in a feigned sign of sadness.

Marl: "I should have been here..."

Quade: "You wi..."

*Smashing*
As he attempted to comfort his fellow Agent the sound of a small building being smashed into sounded from his right. Looking up Marl snarled in puzzlement as, what seemed like a small garage, shook. The roof seemed to explode off, bricks, dust and debris filled the air around the building as a black hovercar with blackened out windows crashed through the roof.

Quade: "Shit, its an escape vehicle!!"

Turning to Quade Marl pointed at the car and barked out orders.

Marl: "Shoot it down then!!"

Reaching for both of his guns Quade began to run forwards, shooting at the vehicle as it slowly saunted upwards. The bullets bounced off the vehicle, leaving only marks. As it got further upwards Quade was forced to look up and in doing so was met with the image of the female 'crawler, he had previously encountered, kicking what seemed to be, a body off the edge of the balcony.

***

*Setting: Ella's body was laid out horizontally on the balcony as she attempted to stop herself from falling. Her attacker was pushing her slowly over the edge with her right foot, putting the boot in now and again to make it more difficult for her enemy to hold on. As the grief-stricken, emotionally charged females back began to slide off the stone surface she lashed out, her left hand gripped the stonework as her back and right leg dangled over the edge. Peering down to where she was going to fall Ella scanned the area. A black hovercar was moving towards them, Kei's body was lying motionless on the ground and Quade was firing up at the car.*

Ella: "QUADE!! QUADE, HELP ME!!"

Crouching down Lilias peered over the edge and smiled.

Lilias: "This is were i have to leave you. It's been nice though, very...fulfilling."

Reaching for a small bit of rubble Lilias grabbed it and lifted it high. Moving it over the only hand that clung to the old balcony she gave one last smirk and brought it down.

Ella: "NOOOOOOOO!!"

She cried out, but unfortunatly for Lilias it was a cry of determination and not of fear. Upon feeling the heavy rock shatter the bones in her only useable hand she flung her right hand upwards, still oblivious to the pain it caused her, grabbing one of the tendrils that sprouted from the 'crawlers head.

Ella: "YOU'RE COMING TOO, BITCH!!"

Lilias cried out as the weight of gravity and the Agent brought her quickly over the edge. Letting go Ella tumbled down, not caring if she died...so long as Kei's killer died too.

***

Quade: "MARL, GRAB HER!!"

Turning Quade shouted these orders in rapid desperation, and though Marl was truly disappointed that he couldn't let the Bisexual female die, he realised that he had to. For if he didn't he could very well die aswell. Raising his right hand as she passed the 5th floor, he stopped Ella from falling any further and gently lowered her down. Quade on the other hand continued firing up at the black car, now aiming for the Shadowcrawler female as she desperatly clung on to the bumper for dear life.

Quade: "Marl, can you drag her down?!"

He fired somemore, only stopping when she began pulling herself up on the bonnet and thus out of his line of sight.

Marl: "No, she's out of range!!"

***

Lilias: "GO, GO, GO!!"

She screamed through the blackened out windscreen of the car as she scrambled onto the roof and tapped on the sunroof window. Slowly it opened and within seconds she had scramled into it, panting heavily and rubbing the tendril the Changling had grabbed. But in a couple of seconds she had realised all was not well...for her uncle was lying unconcious on the backseat and she had just remembered the dead escort lying a couple of feet away from the garage entrance. She didn't even know who was driving the car. So slowly she turned, wanting to know what was going on...but nothing could have prepared her for the shock she was about to recieve.

Driver: "Helo sissta..."

Lilias: "A-Alandos!? But how??"

*Budoosh*
The tranquliser dart hit her lower neck and in seconds she was falling backwards with blackness descending upon her...

***

*Setting: Quade turned, watching as the car slowly drove off and into one of the busier parts of the city. No Agency vehicles were around and most Agents were still inside the vehicle apprehending the 'crawlers who didn't attempt to escape. It seemed that the main masterminds behind the entire hostage situation had escaped into safety. But something told Quade they would meet again sooner...or later.*

~End~
