Sorry for the weird quality. Had to put two pictures together because the scanner did not have enough place to scan the whole paper.
His expression should show something between aggressiveness and joy (sort of). He looks funny but when you know what his personality truly is like, you won't dare to tell him that.
This is the half-brother of the Priestess, believe it or not. They have different fathers.
Uh-oh, this is gonna be a long, big, fat piece of a story again...
The father of the Priestess was a human who felt in love with her mother (who was a two-legged, deer-like species with big hands, a tatooed face and she was a skilled sorcerer as well) and the mother truly didn't dislike him. So he kinda married her and they kinda had a daughter then.
Later, he left because people really hated the mother out of fear because she was not a human but a powerful priestess, protecting her temple. And she was (of course) female. Females were never respected at all and would never be. So the father also started to hate her and left out of ego... like human men often do.
But the mother of the Priestess (man, I badly need names for them) wasn't very hurt because she actually knew that she was damn unwelcome in the whole world. However, she sticked to her destiny to protect temples from evil and raised her child alone. She also knew that her life will end earlier than she wished to and taught her child everything important to survive in case men will try to hunt and kill her. Her daughter could also conjure and do magic stuff (it's her heritage) but not as much as her mother because she's still a half-human...
After her husband left, her mother still wanted to have a second child (just that she had enough offspring, as she has wished to get). As the last one of her species, she had to choose any man who was able to do her the favor of giving her another child. It sounds weird, but her species is usually not very sentimental concerning love. But, they're all about responsibility, honesty and honor. Having offspring and breeding good is one of the most important things to do right for them. So, they're not cold-hearted or unfeeling at all. They're very serious.
She finally found a man, but he was not a human. He was a dragon/scorpion/tiger-like beast (I didn't design him yet) who lived in a forest. He did speak the human language but didn't really act like one at all. He lived like an animal and his personality is animal too.
She got pregnant and then the half-brother of the Priestess was born.
By then, the mother considered it best to give her son to his father so that he could take care of him...
A few years later, the mother got murdered (maybe even by her husband) when she slept in her bed. Luckily, her daughter was safe from humans in a secret place where her mother once taught her everything she knew. When her daughter heard about the death of her mother, she wanted to become the new priestess in place of her dead mother and also had to fight for it all the time she lived. Now she was not only hated but lonely. Yet brave enough to continue fighting.
Meanwhile, her half-brother's father taught his son everything he knew. He learned to hunt, to know everything about nature as well as getting out the human's way because they were dangerous. When his son was grown-up his father left (because all animals do when their cups are old enough). His son didn't care to be a loner. His father's species simply are loners like tigers. So it ran in the blood.
The half-brother did call on his mother and her daughter sometimes and appreciated the time they had together, but he often just stayed in his home in the forest to live like he was always used to.
Sometimes he walks on all four (especially when he goes hunt) but he also walks on his two legs sometimes.
I guess, that's because he can't really decide what he actually should move like when his father is a four-legged one and his mother a two-legged person.
I plan to make a short animation about this story of mine with the help of a friend of mine.
By the way, I really need names. If you have some good ones, fire away!!
