Next time I'll use Magnemite.
When I still played these I always tried to do a run through of the elite four with a level 99/100 Magnetite and nothing else. I even did it once or twice probably maybe. Still my favourite pokemon.

I'm playing Megaman X4. It is the best platforming Megaman game I've ever played. 5 was acceptable, but definitely a step down, and 6, 7 and 8 are some of the shittiest experiences I've ever dragged my ass through to play. 4 is amazing though. They got everything right and then some.

Yeah, I pretty much beat the Elite Four with but one Pokerman: Pidgeot (my all time favorite)

I was playing Uncharted 3 a lot, until my Gaystation broke , so now I'm mostly plaing Brawl. I love the main game but I fucking hate the Subspace Emissary! I especially hate how i need to do this to unlock Sonic.

Just play a bunch of 1 minute brawl matches (you'll need 300 total), or (assuming the settings let you do this) make a 10 hour long Brawl overnight and then pick it up in the morning to get him unlocked. OR you can just beat the Classic mode with 10 different characters. Just anything but frigging subspace emissary, my god. I unlocked Wolf by playing 450 Brawls total and it still felt more worthy of my time than that stupid Campaign garbage day.

Dittos can't do faces.

I was building a new team to take on Steven, and was in the process of grinding them to level 70...

... but it turns out if you beat the Elite Four twice in a row without saving inbetween it corrupts the save. It does on VBA, at least. I can't even show you all the funny names I gave my Pokemon!

Oh well, it's probably for the best. I would have been grinding away hours of my life.

I don't know why everyone hates the Subspace Emissary. I liked it. Sure it wasn't amazing but it was at least enjoyable.

Also did anyone ever get a single point on the cruel brawl? I seriously could never beat it.

It was pretty fun the first time around but quickly got tedious. Some of the levels were great, such as the ones on the ships or the forests. Some were downright boring, like the fucking maze at the end.

Overall though I think Melee had a better adventur mode.

So I decided to give Aberoth a go after finding it on Greenlight. It's a quirky game and has a minimalistic feel. Items don't have descriptions, so the only way if you know if that sword is better than yours is to equip it. It compensates for this by not having many items.

The game relies heavily on the community. It makes you ask what an item does if you want to know. It makes weaker players team up with stronger ones to take down enemies from the beginning. I was lucky to meet a guy who helped me get established in the early stages and now I can fend for myself in the world. I've died a few times on my own, but each time I can find an experienced player willing to help me get my gear back for no or little price. Sometimes they take my gold or a wolf pelt from me, but I couldn't care given that my gear is worth much more than anything I've been carrying.

I love the community, although there are still some cunts. Yesterday there was a higher level player walking around a low level field killing people. He left me alone for some reason, but I didn't hang around long enough to find out why. I wanted to step in and help people, but he would have destroyed me.

So here is my great adventure in the world from today.

Today when I logged in I walked into the tavern in town and was attacked by some guy with high level gear. I tried to run, but another guy blocked the exit. Eventually I kited them around some tables and slipped out. I made a break for the field hoping that I could lose them in the dense forest. As I entered the field there was another well armored cunt waiting for me, but I just kept running. I couldn't shake them off in the forest as they would constantly split up and try to corner me. I was hoping to find a satyr to distract them, but to no avail. Somehow I managed to end up running from a pack of wolves big enough to kill me, too. One of my pursuers managed to get caught up in them and die. I ran back, stole his Shield of the Bee and then made a break for it. While still being chased by the other two I managed to get back to his death point and steal some more of his gear before making it to the safety of my bank vault back in town, where I made camp (logged out). I felt awesome for not only killing one of them, but getting a much needed shield upgrade from him.

I logged in later and saw some of the same people fighting another high level player in town. She seemed to be holding her own against three of them. After hanging around a bit one of them confronted me, demanding that I give the shield back. I told him politely to get fucked because he'd tried to kill me. I then ran into my vault and camped again. I'm now scared to log in without using my new alt to check who is online. Even them, I'm twitchy while I'm online.

So, yeah. fun little game. The ability for anyone to kill anyone else anywhere without a penalty makes for an interesting experience. Nothing quite like logging in to an ambush.

I bought Jet Set Radio HD on the Xbox live marketplace. It's really bizarre but fun to play, the controls/camera can be somewhat clunky though. So far I absolutely love the soundtrack and the graphical style. It's pretty challenging too.

I wish they'd release the sequel, Jet Set Radio Future on digital distribution later and if that would be a success, they could continue the series. I'd really love to see more of the universe of the games, it's very unique and interesting.

A-rowrowrow!

I've been playing Crash 2 on my PS3. On the last level. I'll probably finish it off tomorrow.

Still my favourite Crash game, but the original trilogy is just great in general.

Funny enough I've been playing Crash 2 (for my Let's Play) and Crash 3. I hate the jetpack levels, they have the most awkward controls.

I've been trying to get all the relics on Crash 3 from time trails. Some of them are quite hard and how people get platinum on every level is beyond me.

The jetpacks levels were the shit when I was a kid. I used to get so pumped every time I got to the final world, just so I could ride that jetpack.

Then I would watch Crash get incinerated again and again and again, much to my chagrin.

Fun times.

Am I the only one that is not liking Borderlands 2 so far?

I loved the first game, but so far the second game has SUCKED in my opinion, I've just gotten to Sanctuary and I have not enjoyed a single second so far, oh, and the storyline is lazily written...

I played it at Eurogamer and liked it. it's very much like the first game with more stuff and slightly better visuals. Pretty much what a sequel should be in my opinion.

It's basically like L4D 1 and 2. The exact same game but because L4D2 has more stuff and is more updated, that's the game people play.

The ending is one of the most awesome parts of the whole HL2 experience... Especially being carried through the Citadel. Back in 2004 that made me lost for words at how awesome that was.

Anyway I noticed that a few of you guys that I have as Steam friends have been playing a lot of Faster Than Light for the past 2 weeks. After seeing the reviews I decided to get it, and now I know why. Heh.

The game takes a weird approach to progression - The game is unforgiving. If you die you have to start again, but you can unlock stuff depending on how far you get.

Dad got RE6 about a week ago, and I figured I'd watch him play the first bit of the game. It looked... a lot different than I expected. Definitely more compelling than RE5, though.

Anyways, after this I realized, "Oh hey, I don't even remember the damn storyline of the series," because the last time I even played a Resident Evil game all the way through I was roughly 12. I tried playing through RE5 when it came out, but I just couldn't do it.

SO. I spent the last week replaying the first few in the series. The psx versions, not any of the remakes. (Wait, were any of them remade other than the first one? I recall hearing something about the 2nd one being remade recently, or at least it's being seriously considered.) First one was just as hilariously bad as I remember it being. RE2 though... was fantastic. It's always been my favourite in the series, but now I know why. I was actually going to talk about it in the RE thread, but it hasn't been posted in for a while now and I doubt it'll spawn much conversation.

I'm having a hard time getting myself to play Nemesis now because I know none of the other games even came close to being as good as RE2 from my perspective.

I LOVED Nemesis, it's brilliant, 2 is the best though, in fact, 4 is the best. Have you played 4?

And they told us they were remaking RE2, but it turned out to just be the Darkside Chronicles

Yeah I played 4. It was good, I enjoyed it, but I just don't feel like it was as good as RE2. I think one of the main reasons I even like RE4 as much as I do is because Leon's the main character. Guess I'll have to wait and see when I get around to replaying that as well. Also I can't remember, you play as Jill for all of Nemesis, right? And then at some point I know you get infected and through some convoluted bullshit you make an antidote and save her ass.

Wait are you serious

The chronicles games were fucking awful like why would they even think it's a good idea to turn a survival horror game into a rail shooter just for the sake of retelling the story of previous games

Hrrrnggh
