As far as I know they are/were supposed to protect monsaic lines. I appreciate it if someone could provide me with correct information on these creatures.

EDIT: I hardly expect anyone to know but I thought I would ask anway, what metal is used for slig pants?

Duh... The saucer will be in some sort of port before it takes off...
I expect it lands every now and then to allow Vykkers to get on and off.

Vykkers Labs is not just the one 'saucer' lab. That's number 12, and it's only one of the many Vykkers Labs. Just like RuptureFarms 1029. It's not the only RuptureFarms. The Vykkers Labs that they talk about in Exoddus would have been through that door, just like Slig Barracks, etc.

Whoa, it must have been the PC version of AO which has shooting stars and
smoke coming out of a fire. The PS1 version just had flashing stars.

No, the PC version doesn't have shooting stars or smoke...just blinking stars in some of the screens...very beautiful and realistic detail imo, but it would have been awesome to have shooting stars/smoke.

That picture aptly captures the "essence" of AO that is somewhat lacking in later titles.

Interesting...the skull almost looks like a giant Scrab one, also taking into account the body. Probly not, though.

Yeah, in AE, in the Mudomo and Mudanchee vaults, you see skeletons, or skeletal parts, of paramites and Scrabs respectivly. Looking at them, they seem rather alot larger than the more average Scrabs and Paramites you see. Is there a good reason for this?
Also, what could have caused the great Gaurdian/s of Necrum to die, and what kind of biology did it have? The best picture I've seen is from the side, almost looking like a Mammoth headed Slig...no real back legs visible or anything, and apparently it spits fire from it's mouth/nozzle thingy...how would it do this? Or is it acid, just called fire in another sense? (like a poetic or mythological one)
