Give it a ten or fifteen seconds delay in activating to stop people using it in any shooting games that occur. And say once it's on, you can't shoot-to-kill either.

You could maybe say the ammo was replaced with something harmless but sore/a tranquilizer since a lot of workers got shot, so no one dies. Or you could just flat-out ignore the people forcing cheeseholes in you, I'm not too sure how the game mechanics work but I've roleplayed before. Tweaking the game mechanics/booting out people that go about godmod-killing people could work also, maybe the 15 second delay can be because their weapons are as cheap as chips.

Futurecast, if you'd read this thread you wold know that the dream is frequently offline, and therefore your above posts are spam. You also double-posted, which is against the forum rules.

Spamming leads to banning, so don't do it again.

Then again, we're talking about Fan Corner, where double-posts are somewhat tolerated... If they are meaningful, that is.

Snakeus, it says this in the first post of the thread!!

If you people can read the complicated bit of the post about signing up, why oh why can't you get the easy bit through your heads?!?

Well, depends on what the last update you saw was.

The only non-update news I bring is that Aji appears to have fixed her computer problems, so with luck will be online more, for a little while at least.

Another set of updates Most of which now have the official Aji stamp of approval.

Thanks to OddYouko, the sligs have a new Gamespeak button, 10 "Look out!"

Glukkons have a new gamespeak button, 9 "Momma's gonna be so proud of her Glukkon!"

An NPC Greeter is in the entry room. If you bump into him (just once) He will talk.

The Gambling Room. There is a pool table (bump into it to play), a cigarette machine (A little buggy at the moment but works in the same way as the other vendors do.) Say "Gimme a" Cigar or Cigarette.

There is also an animated television, just bump into it to turn it on and off.

The Mudokon bedrooms have been updated. They've been made smaller, been given (functional) bunkbeds, a table, toilets and there is an NPC Shrink (who doesn't do anything yet, but he will come in handy in the future) keeping a watchful eye on the worthless slaves.

Unfortunately, at the moment the Shrink animation makes it look as though it's humping thin air... it'll be fixed at the weekend.

The Slig's bedroom has been updated too. The Slig's have some living space, lockers, functional beds, a toilet and some clutter lying around the place.

The kitchen has also been updated, based on JordanBoi's concept art, containing meat hanging from the ceelings, ovens (Don't get too close!) and open-able fridges.

Now for the biggies...

Mudokons... your time has come

I noticed that the majority of the people on the dream tend to play as Sligs, because they seem to have the most going for them... but I thought I could make Mudokons equally as enjoyable.. so heregoes

Mudokons now have the ability to slap other Mudokons and Sligs by pressing F2.

They also have the ability to chant (but not possess, just yet)... Just watch out for chant suppressors.

When playing a Mudokon, if you walk into the bird portal and wait there for five seconds, you will escape from the factory, and make your way to the Mudokon village!

Only Mudokons can do this.

Feel free to explore the Mudokon Village. The Storm Circle will have a purpose soon enough (I'm just having trouble trying to fix the script for what it's supposed to do at the moment.) And make sure to drop by in one of the highlights of the Mudokon village - Alf's Rehab and Tea. Just walk straight into it, and you will be greeted by Alf, who is tending the bar.

To order food or drink, say "Gimme" or "I want" in front of your order, and sure enough, Alf (with sound) will give you your food.

:
This whole thing would be shitloads more fun if there weren’t a few arsewipes who go on as Sligs and feel they have the right to shoot anyone they want.
Well, you might be glad to know that Sligs no longer have the high ground, for Mudokons now have Spooce bows.

You will find three Spoocebows in Alf's Rehab and Tea (unless some prankster has moved them ) Just pick one up (by using the F2 button when stood on one) and then press F3 to shoot people with it. They work in exactly the same way as the Slig guns work... but only Mudokons can use them.

I would like to give a huge thankyou to Munches Master, for doing the Vending Machine and bartender scripts, and for putting up with me when my scripts weren't working at all, and just for being teh AWESOMENESS in helping me with the dream.

EDIT: And, after Munches told me off for not crediting him for this, he fixed my first ever script.

What can we expect next?
  • Elums will be able to enter the Mudokon village via an Elum Bell.
  • Minigames (Some of the scripts for these are nearlly finished) Such as Capture the Flag, Meep herding and Scrabfights.
  • Possession and improved animation on the chanting.
  • Scrabs, Paramites and Slogs will be able to attack and kill.
  • The Spoocebow will have it's own, custom sprite, rather than the Furcadian crossbow we're using now.

...Fuzzle Guy...

Edit: Nearlly forgot the legalstuff. Thanks to http://imageshack.us/ for Free! Image hosting.

HOW DO YA PLAY THIS?
Firstly, you turn off capslock by pressing the little 'capslock' button on the left side of your keyboard.

Then you read the first post of this thread.
Then if you have any trouble, you read the rest of the thread. If you still don't know what to do you post a more specific post here asking for help.

And please, please, please don't make a post to say 'I can't get onto the dream omg why/ omg omg!!!!!111'

Hey guys! =) I'm back from the dead and I missed y'all!

Sorry for being away for so long. I'm a senior in high school now and college applications + schoolwork had me crushed. To top it off I got REALLY sick during the one vacation I had (Thanksgiving break) and I spent the majority of it running a fever. I'm nearly all better now though! ^^

I put some work into the dream and I plan to take uploading back up.

My main concern was addressing most of the complaints which were going around:

- The DS for Slig walking/turning/shooting sounds didn't seem to be anywhere? It's all fixed now.
- I removed some of the downloaded DS scripts FuzzleGuy installed. Sorry! =( I prefer to work with custom-made stuff and some of those were getting really spammy. I left the vendors in though.
- The 'burned by the oven' emit is now only for people who can see you..
- I temporarily removed a bunch of sounds I didn't deem immediately necessary because the dream size was getting crazy. The average Furcadia dream size is 1-2 MB. Fully-patched dreams like Oddworld can reach 3-4 MB but any more than that and non-OWF Furcadians won't want to enter.
- Pants machines now work both ways.
- I made new Slig beds and random piping on the floor... just felt like drawing :p
- I wasn't sure how to address the problem with the shooting so for now the least I could do was make a global switch controlling the ability to shoot. To check whether it is switched on or off you can say @shootcheck.
- I completely removed the Slig sleeping DS. It's a cute idea and it was set to work correctly... I just don't think it's possible to have that without it getting annoying.

Thank you all for being so patient with me and this dream and a special thank you for Fuzzle Guy for all of the work he put into it. This is a dream for the people so let's see you guys on more often =)

In turn I'm going to work at keeping the dream up more often and try to answer every suggestion and complaint. The next step in production is to finish what we already have... I NEED to draw that factory equipment...

The following is an online detector for SLIG and it should indicate WHETHER OR NOT THE DREAM IS ONLINE. If it says online and the dream is offline I am probably in the process of uploading and you should wait a bit :p I hope this helps!
Furcadia!
