IC: Rus guessed that the glukkon had approved of his coins and took them back. 'Morons,' thought Rus. After taking back his coins, he eyed his coins. It was a terrible hand and decided it wouldn't be worth while. "Fold," said Rus, placing the cards face down before him.

Pere steppend forward to a food bench and took a paramite pie. He knew that he had always done his best for the glukkons, but then again, inside he knew that he hated them. They always just spat it back in his face. He ate his food, then headed for the casino.
He approached Tyre's table and smiled.
"i'll join on the next hand." He said smugly, glancing at jerik, then at Tyre.
"aaah, time to show you who's boss again?" said Tyre snappily.

IC: Salve looked around the room "Well" he said "Better go look around a bit. You can come if you want, or stay, I don't care..." Salve turned to Brudda
"You need a better name soon, maybe you can think of something? Either way, I'm going, don't get into trouble, okay?" Salve said, as he shoved the door open and walked out of the hotel. For now, he was not employed, and a 'guest' at the casino, a customer...he went in to the casino. Perhaps he would try some gambling, he had done before, though not much...a poker game was getting started. He went over to the table
"Mind if I join? What's the entry fee?" Salve barely maintained his expression as he noticed the freakish, muscled Mudokon standing next to the table. And it was white. There sure were some weirdos around here...

Brudda, meanwhile, shoved his head under the Slig and picked Howler up, and headed for the bathroom.

Vobos sighed and sat down on the bed.
"I'll ust stay here then....And think...." Mike stared at his belly like it was a slog with rabies, and backed away before falling off of the bed. Lulu rolled on the floor, laughing like a dork as he watched Howler squeal and paw at the floor.
"NUUUUUUUE BAAAATH!" He whined as Tangla laughed manically in giggly squeaks, and followed.
"Revenge is mine, mutt!" She cackled.

Pere looked at Tyre.
"look buddy, we can't be pals at all times, but can we at least make up?" Said Pere.
"if you can beat me at cards..." said Tyre maniacly.
Tyre smirked at jerik. Jerik obviously knew what he meant-to deal him all the best cards so that he could win. then he wouldn't have to go on a wild goose chase with this low-lifed wanna be.

Tyre stood up and walked over to the auto fone that slax was using. He snatched it off him, and roared down the speaker "Give him a job!"
The casino went quiet and everyone glanced at him, including a slig who was currently winning his staring compotition. Then the noise came back and everyone continued.

OOC: What poker game are we playing? Texas Holdem, 7 card stud, 5 card draw? I'll assume 5 card draw since there's no house cards.
IC:
Jerik glanced at Rus when he folded, then back to Tyre. Flak didn't need to flick a switch on his mask, he'd already activated the magnetic reader on the train. He made a subtle bodily gesture when looking at his own cards, indicating to Jerik what the cards Tyre had were. (OOC: alf's bro's mate, it'd be a good idea if you said. I think we should all say our cards in OOC, that way it's easier for all of us to interact)
Jerik looked at his own cards, two 7's- hearts and spades, a 4 of diamonds, a 6 of clubs, and a jack of diamonds.
"Call 100, raise 100." He said, tossing 2 100 moolah chips to the pot.
"And I'll take 2."
He was taking a gamble in 2 ways- risking blowing his cover if he beat Tyre, and also risking losing a pair. His plan was to trade wins back and forth with Tyre, forcing the other players out but sharing the pot. Then he'd shift the blame of the scam to Flak and duel it out with the mudokon fairly, confident he could win at 1 v 1.
He discarded his 7 of spades and jack of diamonds, aiming for a straight.
First card- 5 of spades. Now he just needed a 3 or 8.
Second card- Queen of Clubs.
Bugger. I shouldn't of let someone else shuffle the deck. I need something solid on the next round of betting.

OOC: I may have messed up the order of the round's betting/drawing, since I've forgotten how to fully play 5 card draw- ages since I've played it myself. If anything needs correcting, I'll edit it if you tell me.

Tyre glanced down at his own cards.
He had a pair of jack's, spades and clubs, a three of hearts and a two of clubs, as well as a 5 of diamonds.
"Raise 200." He said to Jerik, after drawing another two, after depositing his 3.
Pere nodded, and made himself comfortable in his chair.

IC: Shoal watched closely. They dealt themselves. He was only security, so he doubted he'd be dealing, and they were merely playing each other, so he couldn't care less if the dealer was cheating, which he probably was. He shifted slightly, eyeing the players. With such a fraud, some violence might break out.

Brudda flung the hapless Slig into the bath, then grabbed a tap with his jaws and twisted it to turn the shower on.

Salve eyed his own cards. He didn't trust the dealer, though he'd still only have limited control of the cards, without being too obvious. He held the ace of diamonds, jack of hearts, the 3 and 7 of clubs, and the 4 of hearts. Not a bad hand. However, there was still a chance someone else had a king or something, maybe more than one...he discarded the jack, and picked up another card: 6 of spades. He still needed a five, however, it was not worth the risk of discarding more cards. He decided to bide his time for the moment.

IC: A Slig addressed him on where to get a job. He looked at the Slig "Oh, yeah, out the front there, there's some auto-fones or summat..." Shoal pointed in the direction of where the auto-fones were, before looking back to the poker game.

OOC: Currently there's 2 4 of hearts in play-1 for me, 1 for Zerox. I'll change mine to diamonds if it's easiest. Oh and Zerx, don't you mean he discarded the Ace or Jack? As if he discarded the 7 he'd have 3, 4, 6, J, A so couldn't get a straight unless he drew another 7 as well as a 5.

Jerik eyed his hand, and kept in mind the signals from Flak as to the others' cards. Flak himsef had the 2 of diamonds, 2 of hearts, 6 of diamonds, King of clubs, and 3 of diamonds.

The newest arrival, Salve, was in a similar predicament to Jerik- 1 off a straight, but nothing apart from that. Tyre had a pair of jacks, the curently best hand. The odds of Jerik drawing a 3 were low- there was one left in the pack.
He sighed, and lay down his cards.
"Fold."
he wouldn't let this ten-a-penny mudokon gambler embarrass him. He was going to up the stakes from now on. Force the mudokon out by large bets. There was no way that wannabe big-shot could out-last him money-wise.

Tyre looked at his cards. Two pairs. He was thinking about a full house, but then again none of the other cards had been dropped, apparently. Someone else could have a straight at hand.

OOC: Slig 7665, you need to conduct the autofone service yourself, being that they're autofones. You also need to use the basic template everyone else has used.
Oh yeah, he was gonna get rid of the jack. And I thought I checked to make sure I didn't have any duplicate cards...curses.

IC: This round had not yet been decided. Salve thought. Knowing what sneaky gamblers could be like, any of these, if not more, could have a winning hand. He either needed a 2 or a 7. He only had the ace to discard, so he discarded it and took another card. It was a...king. Not the favored card under these circumstances, though at other times it would be. He resisted the urge to snarl and give the game away, and calmy folded. Then Doogem came up "Sorry pal, too slow, wait 'till next game. And jus' some Soulstorm then, as usual, thanks." He turned his head back to his cards, making sure no one else saw them.

Shoal looked up in surprise at the Flying Slig. He'd never seen such a contraption. Amazing. No Mudokon technology could do this, the best any Mudokon could due to his knowlege was possess a bird or something. He recollected himself, and turned back to the table.

Tyre glanced up from his cards to find slax making his way towards him with what looked like an autophone permission slip in his green hand. Tyre made a gesture with his head towards it.

Tyre looked down for the fifth or sixth time at his cards, pondering what he should do.
Flak was obviously doing the same thing.
Tyre scratched his bald head. He twirled his ponytail within his fingers, and looked over at Pere who was looking towards the toilets.Tyre put his cards into a row, as if he was going to put them down. He did, and looked Jerik in the eye.
"See you later." Said Tyre. He rose, and walked away. Pere followed him. They had an appointment with raj.

Jerik blinked, surprised. "You're folding to that lummox?"

Flak however, grinned. "Money. Yeah. I won for once at poker."

Jerik turned to him. "Flak, please assist me in getting some more money from my pocket."

As Flake leaned over Jerik whispered "What're you doing you idiot! Me and that 2-bit mudokon had deal, he wins this hand if I win the next. You've messed it all up and the little vermin's going to rat us out to the owner. This is on your head."

He sat back, thinking deeply. 'Our agreement was to trade wins and split the final money. If he doesn't rat us out and comes back, maybe I can give him the win next round.'

He watched Tyre leave, and yelled after him. "Hey! Not staying for another round? I'm not done bleeding you of cash yet, my guard beat you, not me!" He gave Tyre a knowing look as he said this, hoping no other player would suspect anything.

Marty ambled over to the trio of Glukkons (OOC: Frank, Timmy and....uh...the other one). He started speaking to them. "Welcome to Ranrs Francium Palace! Excuse me sirs, would you like to take a brochure? Or perhaps recieve a personal tour of the casino? I'm Marty, casino guide and glad to be of assistance."
He offered them each a brochure, grinning broadly as he did so.
