Polyamory isn't actually a word. "Poly" means many and I assume "amory" is synonymous with amorous, which means sexual desire or sexual love. therefore I assumed polyamory means multiple sexual partners, whether all at once or at different times.

I think someone mentioned in this thread something about how you'd discuss homosexuality with your children. Should I have children, I would tell them that using "gay" as an offensive adjective is unacceptable in my household. I'd also make it clear that should any of my children turn out gay, it doesn't bother me.

Yes, that was me. I have a 6 yr old bro and i am estimating at least another year until he starts using gay as a insult. Should i beat him? I usually do whenever he's a twat. (Not beat him, just pin him down and make him say sorry.) But then there was the time when i woke up in bed (My beds on the floor in the loft) to see my bro, standing over me, a trowel in his hand. The point is that since they already have those desires, they don't choose their sexuality, their desires choose their sexuality and congenital (in my beleif) influences choose their desires.

There shouldn't be any labels, gay/bi/les etc.. *yawn* People should just do whatever they want and not 'have' to become e.g. gay in the process. (Personally I would go out with a male or female at the present time, although I'd prefer a male)

Maybe you can't choose to be *sigh* gay bi whatever, but I think its possible to become intrested sexually in the same gender as yourself when you have not been before. (as I have)
