WHAT??? Bush has alreaddy declared war??? Is this really true? I think I´ve missed the news. THAT CAN`T BE!!!!

I just heárd America will bomb Afganistan this weekend. That´s so silly! JUst more innocent people that die! If the US really bombs the nation they aren´t better than the terrorists.

ANd I hope no country joines. I first hope there won´t be a war

AHEM excuse me but i believe steel costs more than concrete. besides you cant build a 110 story building out of concrete. it would collapse under its own weight or become unstable and fall over. besides the WTC buildings were meant to withstand explosions and high winds. thats why they didnt topple over when the planes exploded or MANY more would have been killed. the fact stands, buildings that tall cant be made out of concrete.

The goverment is finally getting it throught their thick skulls that we can't jump into things right now.

I mean what if those planes had germ warfare thingys in them? By this time it realses next week and it would only take two weeks for it to reach California. I'm so scared.

I hate seeing lives end for meaningless reasons, it's too sad!!!

hey, i never said Britain was exactly innocent of exploitation, but America has long since inherited our title as Most Exploitative Nation...

and everyone, they don't even know yet that it was Bin Laden who did it! their only reason for suspecting him is "We thought he did it last time..."! they're bombing Afghanistan without even being certain that the person who committed this crime is even there!

The whole point of commiting terrorism is to draw attention to your beliefs. None of those suspected as being responsible for the tragedy will come forward about it. So what was the point?

you seem to think that terrorism is pointless if the perpetrator doesn't claim responsibility, but this act of terrorism seems to have accomplished something: to make Bush realise that his nation isn't invulnerable.

I live in Seattle, WA, though I wish I lived in some other, older country. Spain and Britain and Italy are so much cooler than America.

How can George Bush say it's going to be a long War. A War against Afghanistan is like a War against Iran. Do you know that the advage wage in Afghanistan is $900.00 bucks a year. Now really, these poor people can't afford War. And even if Bin Lardin is a billionare, Americas welth has got to have that money 1000 fold. Probally even more. I can't see this war lasting years like Dubber Ya said it would. That's what I think anyway.

don't be naive. a 'war against terrorism'? will this be against all terrorism, or just against terrorism that america DOESN'T fund? i mean, america has been effectively sponsoring terrorism against the palestinians by the israelites for decades, and then suddenly it happens to them, and they become all moral? give me a break, we all know that this war will only be against terrorism by people america doesn't like...

sorry to put it as bluntly as this, knowing how many americans we have here, but i've sat here being tactful while i've heard all the patriotism, and i felt that someone aught to present the other side of the story here, since it isn't exactly going to be represented by anyone else...

When I say that, I mean they have cooler culture. did i say for one second that i condoned what the terrorists did? did i? no, i think you'll find i didn't! all i was doing was presenting the other side of the story, because i was sick of all the patriots saying 'i hate afghanistan' and all that.

i didn't say what happened was a good thing, i just said that america was not exactly blameless [putting it lightly] on the terrorism itself, no matter how much it does it through other people.

anyway, what the terrorists did, terrible as it was, does not justify the vengeance that Bush has planned for them. apparently, he has now officially declared war? how stupid is he? even though they don't even know that it was Bin Laden who did it! the only reason they have for suspecting him is that "we thought he did it last time"...

your comparisons were over the top, but to continue them, if the jews had blown up part of berlin, would that have made the holocaust all right? no, it wouldn't, the only result would have been that no-one was in the right, which is the situation right now...

the reason was that america has always hated Islam, and has been sponsoring Israeli terrorism against the Palestinians for a long time. i am not saying this was a good reason, i am just presenting the other side of the story.
