I have always said that even if I were to discover that the Christian god is real, I wouldn't worship it. I can't quite get past all the atrocious policies that he has.

I donot question worshipping God much but I went throug ha stage where i felt like you do, even thinking of changing ot athieism but I couldn't, I believe in God now strongly although I disagree with some biblical text others are a great help!

To Shaman: That was definitely one of the atrocious policies I was referring to. I guess I'll have to go to hell. If god is all powerful then he is going to know if I'm only keeping up appearances, anyway. In my heart I would hate him, and he would be able to tell. So yeah, hell for me.

Also the Greek/Roman Pantheon are by far the worst bunch of dicks Paganism has to offer, seriously if you want to be Pagan for whatever odd reason then choose the Egyptian, Wiccan or Norse Pantheon. At least they don't rape each other all the time.

I tend to find that those sort of people fail both clauses in Postel's Law, not just about being liberal towards others, they also tend to be dirty little hypocrites who use their government cars to pick up drug-addled rent boys.

In defense of that video: It's not at all an attack on theistic values, just a considered criticism of relgious bullies. A fact not immediately apparent if you don't watch til about three minutes in. He does a lot of other good philosophical videos and isn't at all like the other stupid attention whoring pseudo-celebrity atheists on youtube.

He also co-created this video which some of you may remember (And it damn well deserves to be posted again anyway, as it's one of the best youtube videos I have ever seen).
