Just watched The Hills Have Eyes. The story was lacking, but considering my obsession with overly violent and gorey films, it was great!

I watched Children Of Men yesterday. It's a bloody good film and all!

It has the best one liners & is rather sad. Very 28 Days Later.

[I kept crying though because I thought the baby was going to die. ^_^;;]

Saw Happy Feet a while back.

By far the most sexually suggestive kids movie ever.
That is so true it's not funny... Anymore.

I wanna go see Eragon sometime before Skwl starts. But i prolly won't be able to.

Many films. Lots of Bunuel, a few silent films, which was a new thing for me (Pandora's Box being the best of a wonderful bunch, probably), Mouchette, re-watched Dead Man's Shoes - a fantastic British film that everybody needs to see, seriously. If everyone on this forum bought the film they would fall immediately in love with it, predicts I. And surely this shall happen. It's nice to watch a modern British film which doesn't have Judy-****ing-Dench in it, or set in London to pander to an international market.

Oh, and I bought the League of Gentlemen's new live panto thing on DVD. It was very good.
"How! I am a Muslim."

:
I always find it incredible that so many great actors can end up in such a crap film.
Eh? Money, money, money.

:
Watch all of the Nathan Barley dvd. Drop your Chris Morris expectations, and it's well good. 12 cocks out of 11.
Naw, Nathan Barley, written by two very funny guys, is crushingly unfunny. A load of old toss.

EDIT: Also saw The Big Lebowski for the first time ever, and it was wonderful. And Inside Man, again, and it's still very good.

Is the League Of Gentleman new DVD the "We're Behind You"? I went to go see that, it was so funny.

I'm watching LIlo & STitch today. It's so cute. ^_^

The Big Lebowski is one of the funniest movies ever. If you haven't seen it, you're out of your ****ing element in this thread and you should shut the **** up.

*jealous*

A few items of interest:

Jesus Camp - incredibly disturbing and sad. I cried.

The Royal Tenenbaums - really very sweet, with a wonderful subtle humour about it. And a fantastic suicide attempt thrown into the mix.

Tideland - Terry Gilliam's new film, and it's very peculiar. It's about a little girl and her imagination as several disturbing things happen in her life, about which she doesn't really seem to mind all that much. Drug abuse, a form of paedophilia (not your normal type of paedophilia either... depicted as very innocent, which it kinda was. Conflicting stuff, blah), preserved corpses. I'd need to watch it again to really get what I feel about it. But, visually speaking, it is an utterly gorgeous film.

A Scanner Darkly - good film, slightly aimless, excellent ensemble cast.

Hmm, I never thought much of that film. Maybe I was too young. If I watched it again now it would just be for the argument samples in a Dream Theater song.

I just saw Pan's Labyrinth. It was not what I expected. I figured it would be a sort of dark, gloomy fantasy film in my native tongue. Instead, what I got was a story about a girl who used Fairy Tales to escape from a horrible life where her mother is married to a fascist DOUCHEBAG. And it was in Spanish.

It was absolutely amazing. The balance between fantasy and political strife was perfect, and the storyline was engaging and cool. Definite recommendation.

Couldn't agree more. Pan's Labyrinth is the first movie I've seen in years where I left the theatre completely satisfied. I freakin' loved it.

I've wanted to see that for a while, but I don't think it'll come to theatres here. Found it when I was looking for The Labyrinths soundtrack around December. Lols.

And I'm most interested in Tideland. I generally like Gilliam things.

Just got done watching Click with my family. It was a pretty funny movie, although I nearly cried during certain parts of it. It really turned out to be nothing like I had expected.

I just found out there's going to be an Ocean's Thirteen. God, would'nt they have learned from 12? That one was awful. The first one was great, though.

To clarify, since people will probably think they has already been an Ocean's 13.

Ocean's 11: The first one, without George getting married.

Ocean's 12: The second one, George is married.

Ocean's 13: WTF?

Yeah, that's true Leto. Good job.

You know what's deliciously hilarious? The origional animated Star Trek series, and I hate Star Trek. It's just so shit.

I watched Clerks 2 yesterday. In my opinion, it wasn't as good as the first, but was very good nonetheless. I laughed alot throughout it, and surprisingly, one scene actually hit me hard emotionally. That was something I definitely did not expect from it. It's just a shame that the movie wasn't all that long. I really didn't want it to end .

It was pretty good. A little too much story for a sequel to Clerks though...

Yeah, I suppose so. I was actually looking forward to some more of Randal's rants in the sequel, and it's a shame they didn't include some more. Also, it seemed like they were kinda rushing the plot, you know? As if they wanted it done and over with. That's how it seemed to me, anyway.

I just saw Cinderella 3 with my sisters. It was admittedly pretty good. It definitely added more of a character to the Prince than just a background character. [/Disneyfan ranting]

I just finished watching Spaceballs a sixth time on my DVD. I thought it to be the best sci-fi spoof I've seen, but then again, I like any comedy. I next plan to re-watch Shaun of the Dead. That film I also believe to be extremely funny.
Also, does anyone else here like Quantum Leap?

I watched Master of the Flying Gullotine over the weekend. That is probably the funniest movie I've ever seen, and the sad part is that it isn't supposed to be funny. I'm still trying to figure out how the hell it got three stars if the story and overal acting sucked that bad. Perhaps the critics found it hysterical as well?

I recently watched Patton. Damn, that guy was nuts, but he had badassery coming out of his ears. He's like a non-evil version of this character in a Star Wars fanfic I'm writing.

Sicko.

It's a very good film, with a good message for the kids. Even if it's maybe a bit too disturbing at one point.

And I must have missed the sodomy, which is strange, I don't usually miss the sodomy if it's plain view.

I just finshed watching the final episodde of Quantum Leap. Dr. Beckett never returned home? I hate that third black screen. Although, if 'A Bold Leap Forward' makes it to the television screens, there's a chance that Dr. Beckett could return home.
